I was bored last night so I decided to find out where my first and middle names came from. I thought it was pretty cool so I thought I'd make a thread so people could post where their names came from. Here's mine. Victoria = Latin Eileen = Celtic/Gaelic. www.babynames.com is a good way to find out where your name originates from.

Okay here's my -beautifull - name Aurélie=latin, comes from Marcus Aurelius. So my name is a french-inised(That doen't exist as a word, does it?) version of Aurelia. I prefer Aurelia though, more italian, and that's how my latin teacher used to call me ;D (to clarify: he was really cute and very young too ) meaning: gold, or sun
