Hi, I'm just wondering if you have seen any of the recent episodes of Fear Factor. It's a great show, but now that they're running out of stunts, it's DEFINETLY starting to go to far. Things aren't just scary anymore--they're physically painful. Last episode I saw--well, I didn't see the first stunt, but the second stunt was pretty gross. I'm not starting this thread mainly on the second one--the second was to eat maggots. If they weren't completely killed when they went down the throat, (maggots don't die easily) they would crawl back up. This is nothing compared to the next one--it was even painful to the viewers. 8 needles--4 regular sized ones, 4 HONKIN' FAT ones. They were locked to a chair, then they must slowly and painfully get all of them pierced through there arm. Not just a layer of skin--a big layer of the actual fat on your arm. I was deep in there. Just watching made you want to yelp out in pain. But then when they took them out--it was horrifying. The holes looked so horrible, and tons of blood came streaming down there arm. Does anyone else think that's going to far? Just wondering... Please don't get mad at me if I made you lose your appetite just before a meal...

I personally was freaked out when they did the one where they had to go in a tiny tank with a hundred snakes and a huge Boa Constricter. Or the one they had to swim with the crocadile...

I tell you, that show is a law suit waiting to happen. . .

I get faint just thinking about it... but then again I'm the person that has spent the past two school blood drives passed out... How did you manage to WRITE the last seven chapters of As Told By if on the other thread you got a queazy stomach when we debated whether the action of being hit by glaive should be called "slashed," "gashed," "stabbed," "cleaved", etc.?

My god. . . isn't that against the law or something? I tell you, that show is a law suit waiting to happen. . . Actually, I forgot to mention these two things: 1) The participants sign waivers so whatever happens they can't blaim or sue Fear Factor 2) That needle one--It's a real form of torture. It's used on horrible, horrible people, such as Asama Bin Laden if they caught him. For a terrorist, they'd get the fattest ones possible, slowly put them in them all over there body, leave it that way for a week then go to the next form of torture or kill them. In China, it's horrible. It used to be if you did the slightest thing bad, you'd get killed. Depending on how bad the crime was made how bad the death was. Little thing--killed quickly, unpainfully. Horrible thing-they'd slowly--er, this is sick, don't look down if you have a week stomach Slice them into bits and pieces painfully.

I liked Fear Factor back when ALL of the stunts were basically a test of athletic ability...with heights and swimming and getting flags off of airplanes. But lately...*shudders* I cannot STAND that show anymore, and around my family I am known as the Queen of Reality TV! *shudders again* There was one, called "The Gross Episode" where they had to bob for rings in a huge vat of cow's blood, eat pizza that was just...ugh, I can't describe it without puking! And look for dead skunks in a dark tunnel...

They aren't scary, just physically challenging. The first Fear Factor ever was scary. Dragged by a horse, bathing in rats, hundreds of feet in the air on a car. THAT'S scary. The only fear in needles is the fear of pain, which is what they shouldn't be looking for.
