Vampire bunny that sucks the life out of veggies. I've read many books. I can't remember my first.

Bunnicula is a cute little bunny who looks like a vampire and sucks the juice out of veggies. ^_~ Chester was always my favorite. He's such a snuggly kitty! Howard (I belive that's his name, too lazy to find my books right now) was rather funny too.

The first novel I ever heard was The Wizard of Oz. My parents read it and its sequals to me. I can't remember the first novel I ever read myself. After thinking about it a while I thought it might have been "The Magician's Nephew," but then I remembered that before I read that my teacher read my class "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" and something she said to me before she began reading it indicated that I had already been an avid reader at that time (either late Second Grade or early Third). My memory is awfully interesting. I can remember some things from when I was four years old with incredible ease, but other things in third grade are just bits here and there and sketchiness.

The first series of novels I read as a child was the Little House On the Prairie series by Laura Ingals Wilder. I still have the books (a rather nice boxed set) and I keep trying to get my kids to read them- but they don't like to read, alas.

How can the offspring of Laura and Aus Cushing not share their passion for literature?

No WAY. How can the offspring of Laura and Aus Cushing not share their passion for literature? Well, my parents are both big readers, and I didn't take up a love for reading till I was about ten. It just takes time, sometimes...
