we never tried to harass somebody o-o all we did was pointing out some pets which (in our opinion) shouldn't be in the NT because of the rule.
@-@ and we've got the impression it's just the other way 'round: all the artists who already have their comic in the NT can't see the problem neutral. They all know, for every new comic there's gotta be an old one thrown out.... >_>

we never tried to harass somebody o-o all we did was pointing out some pets which (in our opinion) shouldn't be in the NT because of the rule. Which is, as I said, making us your enemies instead of your allies. Instead of saying, "Hey, these guys should get kicked out!" concentrate on arguing for why yours should be let in (or changing them so they would be acceptable, as many of these artists have had to do). I'm sorry, I have no idea what you just said. But as I said before, these people have had to make a lot of changes to their characters and comics in order to get them accepted, so don't assume there's some sort of favoritism in play here. Your comics are very nice and you obviously put a lot of work into them, but they just cut too close to the rules and can't get in-- that's something that nearly everyone here has had to deal with at some point or another and we understand the frustration. But knocking other people isn't going to make any difference. You could have people fighting for you or trying to help you figure out the problem and how to fix it (which people have generously done anyway) if you didn't alienate them right from the start.

arr we don't want these comics to get thrown out o-o;;;; Just showing that if they obeyed the rule with these just as strictly as they did with ours, then they shouldn't be in the NT either o-o;;;; That doesn't mean we don't like these comics.

But what good is that doing you? Trust me, we've all spent plenty of time complaining about they hypocrisy of the Neopets team and these rules, but it hasn't gotten us anywhere. Like I said, if you want to PM Snowflake and explain to her why you think your comic should be accepted, then great, do that. I don't think either of the comic *ideas* that you've shown so far are feasible as far as the rules go, though, no matter what the art looks like. Your other alternative is to change the look of your characters so that it is acceptable (without worrying about what other people are "getting away with") or making a comic explaining that the special markings and such are just make-up, props, etc. on normal-colored pets.

okay XD basicially we're two persons :3 Leelakin(billi on neopets) and Kami (psychoboi on neopets) and we tried to send in our comic (Odd Stuff) but it got rejected o-o It said our comic was containing neopets with colors which aren't existing, yatta yatta... So o-o We think... THIS is kind of unfair: These pets are in comics in the Neopian Times. o-o and ours are rejected: Taireen. She is an Island Lupe, but her design is basicially a blue lupe with some white spots and a flower. RustyCalypso. A white Lupe with black eartips, a black tail tip and wings. Both designs are only minor changes from the neopets design. And these wings...if clothes and extra body parts are allowed...why not wings? Especially since these wings could be just fake wings(and should so be considered as clothes!) @_@ if you want to take a look at our comic: www.deviantart.com/view/10131508/ page 1 www.deviantart.com/view/10508514/ page 2 ah and...o-o if it helps, we could also make a disclaimer on the colors/paintbrushes/markings or something of that kind and another thing XD if you say neopets could use contact lenses...then they could also dye their hair/fur ;3 Tdyans said most of it. For instance, if you read back in the beginning of this thread, RJ was extremely upset that the orange stripe on Giving's head might have to be chucked. In the end she had to settle on some sort of compromise which I can't remember because it was too far back and I'm just lazy. o____0 Your art is awesome, but please keep in mind that the rules have been hitting everyone. Kiddo especially (Dark Flame, wasn't it?) had to do so much modification to her stories that the original almost wasn't recognizable any more. It's just that we've managed to modify enough to get in. God only knows why they're deciding to chuck original looking pets, but unfortunately we have to play by their rules. Snowflake doesn't like it either, but she's getting them from someone 'higher-up'. I think if you change your lupe to a shade of blue closer to the normal, and get rid of the wings/make them visibly accessories, they might get through. However, I've never tried for the comic section so I'm not really an expert in the area. Does anyone here remember if stories with odd marking-ed pets can get in? I think mine sometime ago got in, but the custom pic omitted the fire markings....
