Yes, you may have a mutant Gelert. However, because this type of pet doesn't exist on the site yet, you probably won't be able to get a custom imag e of a mutant Gelert. Nope. No hybrids, even if it is through the Lab Ray. You could always use gelert number 3... neopets.com/comps/gelert.phtml

Is it OK that my pets in comic are painted but they aren't in real life?... (Instead of Island, my pets are Green and Yellow...)
Also, on the TCG, they had Island pets in Blue and Pink, but this obviously isn't allowed right? That would be mixing two different colours?...

Oh yea, I almost forgot. I have an island eyrie, in my comics would it be ok to feature him without the flowers in his mane?

In my Blurf stories, the pets are supposed to in some way resemble the fruits that they have. I've done the Blurf (blue Moehog), but the other seven Gadgads fruit elude me. Is there a way I could do this without breaking any color rules?

okay XD basicially we're two persons :3 Leelakin(billi on neopets) and Kami (psychoboi on neopets) and we tried to send in our comic (Odd Stuff) but it got rejected o-o It said our comic was containing neopets with colors which aren't existing, yatta yatta... So o-o We think... THIS is kind of unfair: These pets are in comics in the Neopian Times. o-o and ours are rejected: Taireen. She is an Island Lupe, but her design is basicially a blue lupe with some white spots and a flower. RustyCalypso. A white Lupe with black eartips, a black tail tip and wings. Both designs are only minor changes from the neopets design. And these wings...if clothes and extra body parts are allowed...why not wings? Especially since these wings could be just fake wings(and should so be considered as clothes!) @_@ if you want to take a look at our comic: www.deviantart.com/view/10131508/ page 1 www.deviantart.com/view/10508514/ page 2 ah and...o-o if it helps, we could also make a disclaimer on the colors/paintbrushes/markings or something of that kind and another thing XD if you say neopets could use contact lenses...then they could also dye their hair/fur ;3

Hang on, giving's cafe is not by Pat, it's by RJ. Also, there are no real differences with the characters already in the Times. The purple aisha is just an anthro, and the aisha from giving's cafe is just a desert aisha. Also, the second one was rejected because neopia has no TV's, movies, etc, and The little mermaid is not from Neopia. Also, the first one is just listing all the reasons how it breaks the made up colours rule.

Well, the problem there is that Room for Two and the others have superficial changes - things that can be changed without having to take genetics and ancestry into account.
See, with wings, you have to ask -where- those wings came from. Did he have a uni for a great grandmother at some point?
While clothing - well, that's a simple trip to the closet. Plus, it's something already established in Neopia - we see pets wearing clothing all the time. (altough it'd be nice if we saw some specific ones without... like Kass)
See, that's where the problem is. Unless it's already in Neopia, we probably won't be able to do it.
And Room for Two started out as humans... I had to turn them into NeoPets.

and what about this: www.neopets.com/ntimes/index.phtml?section=18752&week=154the pet we mean is the blue ixi at the bottom. You can't deny it's got more non-neopets-color markings than Tai and Rusty together...(and it's not just a chacater which appears only once!) www.neopets.com/ntimes/index.phtml?section=18820&week=155or the Kougra in this comic. It's got yellow fur and orange stripes. Or orange fur and orange stripes. No Kougra has got orange stripes. Sorry for being such wise-crackers, but we just really put a lot of work into our comic and don't want to see it rot on our pcs just because of a Neopets-rule that isn't even followed by the npt itself. I guess Fenris can't be a black-pelted Faerie Lupe, can he? But he's not really a Faerie Lupe; Fyora gave him Faerie wings so he could transport Misty better.
If it's not okay, I'm cool with that; I'll just make him a regular Faerie Lupe instead.

then Tai does so too @_@; and Rusty does. And the crab does. ... Look, the crab comic just can't get in, period. Sebastian belongs to Disney, and you can't have a Disney character pop up in a Neopets comic without them worrying about lawsuits or copyright infringement. The other comic is going out of its way to point out that the characters are non-standard colors, so that's probably what set off alarms. Sorry if I sound snappish, but you've found kind of a rude way of trying to argue your point-- by targetting other people. None of us like these rules. So consider yourself on the same side as us instead of making us your enemies right off the bat. As Kiddo said, she actually had to change her characters to what they are now because of a rule. Some of us have found ways around them, and you can too if you try. You'll be better off giving reasoning for your own comic rather than trying to point out hypocrisy in others. If you want to send a PM to Snowflake with your defenses that your lupe is wearing makeup and your friend's has the wings glued on, fine. It's unnecessary to gripe about it in public.
