I tend to read slower than I used too... Maybe it's because I'm online too much and not reading enough books. Can you believe I haven't even read completely through a single Dragonriders of Pern book? Anyway, I think it took me about 3 weeks (or less) to finish #4... I don't see how fast you read it is important, though, unless you like ruining the plot for others. I heard someone would die in the 5th... Gee, Mrs. Rowling has sure made the HP books darker and darker... Can't wait to see what happens with... Wait a minute, isn't there someone in here who hasn't read #4? I'll shut up then, so I won't ruin anything. I think the 4th book took me 2 days, because I didn't put it down

900 something? where'd you hear that? Well that is longer then #4 since I think #4 was 400 something. Well we know it involves a phoenix in some way(the bird, not the city),and an order about it from the title. Should be important since the 1st 4 subtitles pointed out an important thing in those books.

*sniff* I can't get it because my parents think it's too ... full of magic that is not good ... yeah, I know ... actually before that, I had all 3 books and my parents didn't really KNOW a lot about this Harry Potter thingy so they thought it was ok. THEN until they received this e-mail thingy concerning the Harry Potter books ... my mom actually made me dump all 3 books into the dustbin! It's almost like seeing forty dollars go down the rubbish chute ... the first book was given by my friend so ... Anyways, I managed to borrow the fourth book from my friend who reluctantly agreed to lend me for only one day. So I REALLY read like hell ... frantically flipping through the pages and trying not to get caught by my dad who always seemed to pop his head into my room more than 5 times during the time I spent reading ... and well yeah, he caught me reading a few times ... I mean, I read practically the WHOLE day straight after school! And he was like ... the look on his face was disapproval ... all written over his face!! Anyway, I managed to finish the book in one day with a headache as a result of reading continuously! I think I'll just have to borrow the fifth book or something from the library ... *sigh* ...

Whoa...your parents are whacko. (and so are mine. They are so overprotective I wasn't even allowed to see Titanic. And I still can't see PG13 movies unless they review them first, and I'm 14!)

WHOA! your parents are well...strict. I don't see why they'd care, because you're actully reding...something and some kids don't even read, but I'll never understand parents. Especily some that arren't mine. Like you said you could either borrow #5, or walk to the nearest store, and buy it without your parents knowing.

My parent are not over protective in a way, but in the other they are. When I was 10 they'll let me see 16+(because of violence) movie! I am totally free in the internet, but they NEVER stop to tell me how dangerous it is and almost every time there is an article about someone being kidnaped(because they used internet) in the new, they almost force me to look at it. And I know their speech by heart because they always repeat it. They seriously are trying to scare me, but so far they always failed! ^^

yeah. friday nights almost here. Now I just have to stay up until midnight. Well this book will more-then-likely be longer then #4 since #4 is longer then #3, but it doesn't always work that way. 896 Pages 38 chapters (one more than hp4, if I remeber correctly)255,000 words 900 something? where'd you hear that? Well that is longer then #4 since I think #4 was 400 something. Book 4 was around 734 pages long. Where did you get that quote?! My mom ordered it too, and I am sooooo anxious ;D The day of the press release (or maybe it was a week later) scholastic relased excertps from the book. One was the first paragraph is the book, another was something found later on. Here is the link to these, but they are SPOILERS so just bear that in mind. www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/043935806X/002-8481911-8722420?vi=glanceAlso, here is a VERY BIG SPOILER from HP5. www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0807220299/ref=pd_ts_a_7//002-8481911-8722420?v=glance&s=books&n=549066May I make a suggestion, however, that if you read these quotes or listen to this please DO NOT POST WHAT YOU HEAR OR SEE HERE. Some people (like me) don't want to know everything and prefer to be suprised when the book comes out ^_^ Just humbly suggesting...

I can't wait myself... going to a Midnight release party... even through my husband get off of work at Midnight (which means...we're going to be late. ). I won't be able to read the book as intensely as I would like because of a few work deadlines I have... oooh but I want to just sit down and not get up again till I'm done. I told my mother a while back that I read Harry Potter books... she got so worried about me! She started asking me if the book was evil. I told her "No mother, they have Easter and Christmas break......yes mother they acknowledge the existence of God... no mother, they are not satanists!". LOL! Oh my poor mother... she wouldn't let us watch the Smurfs when we where kids because she thought it too was the work the devil.

My mom is completely fine withme reading the Harry Potter books. Let me rephrase that... She's obsessed.
^______^ We're going to a Midnight release party, and I just found out two of my friends (who I didn't even know read them) are going in costume. Everyone in my family is a big fan, so for number Four we had to take turns reading it out loud, to avoid fistfights.

I just preordered it, so I'm probably not getting it until a week or two after the release.
