Happy summer solstice! It is eternal daytime and it is horrid.
Anyway, I usually make a baked good on this day, but I'm kind of burned out on sweets. I guess I could make something more savory? But maybe I won't even get to it. Maybe I'll just make flavored popcorn and call it a day.
I'll be seeing if there's any last Spring Cleaning items on my list before the final update, but I kind of did one of the last big things yesterday, so no biggie if I don't.

Happy winter solstice from the Southern hemisphere! We have the midwinter lantern parade coming up, after which the lanterns stay in a pretty display on a local church grounds for a while, and it's always so lovely seeing them all.

My first day of Summer has been very cold. Also the Wii U has decided to like me again, I was able to re-watch the first Pretty Cure All Stars film without any snags or skipping. It was suspiciously smooth.

After a three day festival I am ready to curve up in a ball and not do anything for the whole day

I used to read random books from the school library that had interesting synopsis, and I vaguely remember reading one that was written in first person, and the narrator died at the end.
Which I'm sure can work if done correctly, such as say, switching tenses to show that the story is now being told from the perspective of another party, having the story just literally end at the moment they die, or revealing that the narrator was a ghost-all-along or some other kind of supernatural or undead being able to tell their story after it ended.
But nah, this one went on as if there was nothing unusual about the narrator describing a scene they shouldn't be alive to react to. XD

See you had me in the first half, but then to not follow up on such a unique concept is... why XD

Sorry, not a LoL person. Just remembered about August Time capsules. That's coming up soon! Thank you for the reminder! I genuinely forgot. xD I wish we could schedule forum posts, messages, or reminders. It would come in handy when it comes to the mods remembering to open them. (Brain: "You could program it into your calendar." Yeah but that's my RL calendar and I'm excessively particular about that.)

Any good friends play League of Legends? My only exposure to LoL is the show Arcane (which was brilliant), but I have not played the game, fro a variety of reasons. xD

Any good friends play League of Legends? I've heard a lot about it, but never played it. The PvP game I currently play is the revived version of Duelyst, still in beta and being developed by Dream Sloth Games. It's the only PvP I really have time for these days. Games there take about ten minutes each. Much longer ago I used to play League 97 and League 54 games on Neopets, but I stopped years ago due to the Battledome never receiving any care from the developers and the playerbase in general slowly drying up. XD I remember reading a book like that - Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones, told from the first-person point of view of a ghost. It was dark but also had its moments of humor, like when the ghost no longer needed to go to school or listen to anybody, so she could read all the teen mags she wanted

I recall trying to read Lovely Bones once. I found one chapter to be so triggering (if you know it you know) that it distracted me from the other chapters, and I put it down shortly after and never picked it up again. x'D
I know another book that switched perspectives between a set of characters, and one of them died sometime during the story. Their perspective didn't pick up again until near the end, with them described as a sort-of ghost who was watching the other characters and making insightful commentary.
Really good book, but I'd be major spoilering it if I revealed the title now. xD

If only the shocking twist at the end was that the MC was a ghost. Nope, went "and then I died" with not a hint of irony. XD
