TITLE: The Maraquan Circle, Facts And Fiction CATEGORY: Article DESCRIPTION: If you made a triangle using Mystery Island, Krawk Island, and Maraqua (New or Old, doesn't matter) as the points, in the middle would be an area of open water known as the "Maraquan Circle". Many strange things are said to happen there from storms to equipment failure to unknown ships that vanish into thin air. With the NT dedicating an issue to the sea, I take it as an opportunity to charter a boat and sail out there to see what's truly going on; separating the facts from fiction. COLLAB: No (as it turns out small amounts of people wants to sail out to a place known for strong storms and sinking ships, and by small amounts I mean none)

Proposed title of entry: A Hero's Journey: Across Sand and Sea Type of entry: Short story Short description: Sort of the sequel to Another Hero's Journey...to Krawk Island. After getting engaged on board a ship, it seems fitting that Reuben and Andrea get married on the beach. The backdrop of a wedding proves to likewise be the backdrop of a battle Rohane has to disentangle himself from when a mission threatens to make him late for his older brother's special day. There will be pirates, knights, seaside battles and a ruined fancy suit.
This depends heavily on how well I can write a wedding and sneak it past the NT filters. I will be changing this into a Standard Anime Beach Episode (TM) if the challenge proves too much.

I have a comic idea for this collab, I've got the idea in draft thumbnail sketches right now. The thing is, it's not quite coming together for me, it reads a bit awkwardly to me and needs to also be edited down to fewer panels. Since the deadline's coming up, I think it's time to call in some help with the concept. So you'll find it under the spoiler, both a typed script and sketchbook page, if you so choose to help. Thank you. Dinner with the Scarlets: Salt Water It's all Salt Water, right? Panel 1: A Water Faerie sits by Jane, tearing up as Jane reads from a book. Jane: And they sailed into the sunset. The End. Panel 2: The Water Faerie is full-out sobbing as Jane hands her a hankie. Water Faerie: All she wanted to do was see the Ocean. Jane: They had a happy ending in the end. Panel 3: The Water Faerie wipes away her tears with the hankie. Water Faerie: I know. Thank you for that moving story about the Sea. Panel 4: The Water Faerie returns Jane's hankie. Water Faerie: Here. Panel 5: Jane wrings out the hankie into a glass bottle with a furtive glace to where the Water Faerie was. Panel 6: Jane gives the glass bottle to an Earth Faerie. Jane: Here's your Tears of the Water Faerie.

Jane: Here's your Tears of the Water Faerie. Okay first of all, I love this idea! It's funny and a more unique take on a common joke c: Secondly, I think the best way to cut out a panel is to do the following two things: 1) Let the water faerie already have or receive the hankie in panel 1 2) Make her more emotional in panel 1/speed up the crying If you do that and move dialogue a little around you should be able to remove a panel. As for the awkwardness, I think this line is the culprit:Water Faerie: I know. Thank you for that moving story about the Sea. It feels a bit stilted to me. Maybe go for a more general "Thank you for the moving story" and replace your earlier 'Ocean' with 'Sea'? idk haha
