Yes, Trick or Treat is returning! I'm aiming for it to start around Friday the 22nd; the board may be up a bit before then. As usual, you may do one house, trick or treat at as many houses as you want, just try to wrap up by the end of the event! (Which I will tentatively put at November 2nd. I will try to be firmer about this end time this year.)
So in short: ToT will be approximately from Friday October 22nd - Tuesday November 2nd.
If anyone has a dispute about this timeline, please let me know soon and we can discuss it. I honestly just picked some dates, so I am slightly flexible.
Now, the poll is admittedly slightly more for me. In past years, I've noticed a distinction between forumers who prefer to just go for the treats with maybe light roleplaying, and those who like to get involved in the heavy roleplaying. And sometimes I wonder if there have been a few misunderstandings in that regard. To be clear: They are all okay! You may be as free and flexible with your themes as you like, within reason. The only restrictions are the forum rules, general etiquette, and general roleplaying etiquette. (No godmoding, don't try to destroy/derail someone's 'house', etc.)
That said, I'd like to figure out how to make the matter clearer for people, and also figure out how to design my own house. So refer to my poll which asks: What do you prefer when you engage in ToTing?
I'm thinking that maybe threads could tag themselves as some of these if they want so that people know what to expect from a house, but even if not, it's fun for me to gauge it in general. Plus, it may help me in building future houses if I have a better idea of what people want. Even outside my own personal interests in the question, feel free to discuss.
