Decided to go ahead and review all the comics from this week because why not lol
I wonder if there are other Misadventures of Snor that came before this one, I'll be sure to check the user out later to find a potentially new series creator! But this was a nice comic, I love the goofy, happy faces all the 'Pets have x3 Snor jumping into the puddle and coming out grey almost looked like the same panel to me, and I also missed the grey text at the bottom, so I was confused at first where this fourth person came from. After a few rereads I saw what was going on, so the only suggestion I'd make for this comic is put a little more separation between those panels.
I can't get over the levels of adorable in Dailies with Larvse and Chuckie's artwork <3 The Eyrie in the second panel especially has a chibi look with his little pose and simple face features. The joke is nice, although I don't play Treasure of the Black Pawkeet so I didn't realize that yellow growth was a potential prize from it xD At first I thought the comic was referencing the Forgotten Shore.
Ooh, a gif comic with Maam & Mussshhhy! Gets me nostalgic about comics of the same style I read years ago.
Lol, Welcome to the Deserted Tomb got a chuckle from me x3 The Deserted Tomb isn't new to NT comics, but I always appreciate when someone does a good joke for it (heck, I've got a future script for a deserted tomb comic myself xD). I dunno if I've seen this variation of the Deserted Tomb before, so I enjoyed it!
I swear, it feels like there's more petpets I don't know about than do xD I can't say I've ever seen whatever that pumpkin squid is in A Korbat's Only Weakness, but it is cute the way the artist draws it! I don't think the screenshot at the beginning of the comic is necessary, as it doesn't give any new information the following panels don't already provide, and it's honestly hard to read. It also almost feels like there should be another panel at the end to tie things up, like one that shows the aftermath of opening the flask of light. I'm not sure what that item is supposed to do, and the punchline that bats don't like bright light would have been lost on me if it wasn't for the title.
Interesting setup in Mutant Usul Shenanigans! I'm guessing the joke is that both mutant Usuls and "breathing life" into dolls or trinkets both come off as scary, but then they subvert it by wanting hugs. It might also be that the left Usul is more serious about the craft, while the one on the right is bright and sunshiney by contrast? It's hard to tell with just one panel and not having known these characters already, but either way I can pick up what the comic is going for. The dialogue is a little unreadable being small, tilted, and cursive, so I'd just suggest making more room for the dialogue and making sure the handwriting is as legible as possible.
Haha, when I saw both NQII and puns in
NQII Many Puns, I was not at all surprised to see you behind it
Carolyn ! xD The artist also did a great job on their end, I love their soft coloring style :3 I can certainly relate to Mipsy's reactions here lol; while puns can be fun, I certainly have my limit with them at a time xD This would be more for the artist, but I'd suggest giving more clues that there's a passage of time between panels so as to suggest that Velm is giving more puns than just those three. Right now, Mipsy being amused in the first panel but annoyed in the second feels like a sudden switch, so perhaps different lighting or settings between those panels could help tell the story.
Haha, I love how much fun people are having with Topsi's twist reveal. This Random Oddness is another comic that I feel could use another panel at the end to make the joke more hit, as it feels a bit like a statement than a punchline right now. But to be fair, Topsi turning out to be a cyborg all along is a ridiculous enough statement already xD
Is Trying His Best a parody of that "Are you winning son?" meme? Because that's all I can think of when reading it xD If so, I'd say maybe formatting the last panel to match the composition of the original meme, but if not, that's fine xD
Lol, I thought Complaint to TNT was gonna be another of those comics poking fun at irl TNT decisions, but it turned out to be completely different! Honestly I don't think the TNT mention in the title was even necessary, as this could just be set at a clothing store's complaint department, but that's just me being nitpicky x3 The joke itself it a fun twist on words, reminds me of some old school Sunday strip comics lol.
Lovely art in It's Korbattle Time! The punchline confuses me a bit, like if she thought the bat would be "foolproof" purely because of the pun or for some other reason. I'm also unsure where this comic is supposed to take place; it looks like they're on a foreign planet, which makes me wonder why they're discussing weaponry and what they plan to do with it.
Oh, I recognize A Strange Weakness in L54, the creator has shared their comics on the art neoboards chat before! I love the various jokes they make from this premise haha, it's simple and allows for countless punchlines with the amount of BD weapons out there. I also enjoy seeing the creative ways they portray the baby Pteri to hold or interact with objects x3
I also did both the word search and crossword puzzles from this week, I enjoy doing little mindbenders to wind down lol.
