I didn't have strong feelings regarding this one either. Honestly I just went with The Crafting Faerie because I like Delina xD Also hey, looks like one of my previous choices actually won with the Sea Glass Foreground! |

Wonderful, 5 days behind: DAY 2: Best Species Specific OutfitMY PICK: Kung Fu Vandagyre
Don't really have a horse in this race. I just picked this one cause, well, if the Vandagyre was going to have any outfit I'd imagine it would be one based on the world they're from.
WINNER: Forest Sage Ruki
Was my second pick. Looks nice.

I think Oasis Eyrie probably would look better on a different colored Eyrie (maybe Lost Desert?).
High Tech Korbat just looks like a black Robot Korbat, rather bland. DAY 3: Best Standalone Advent AnimationMY PICK: Day 25 (Supposed to be Taelia's, but image is from Day 26 with the Slushie Slinger Tuskaninny)
WINNER: Day 18 (Shows Day 25 which is Taelia's, but the actual animation are the working Grundos)
JS messed up this one. The major question is did most people vote by picture or did they actually read the description? I'm guessing most went by picture (though I went with description). Though honestly I didn't really have much to say about this year's Advent Calendar animations; I guess for standalones these four were alright if not the best. Considering one of my biggest complaints with JS's Altador Cups is that the Pre-Season Reports tell us barely anything the players have done and instead most focus on saying the same thing about how they'll play better this year, it's nice to see some Altador Cup players having shenanigans off the field.

I can understand why it won but I just wished it was told more clearer (and had better art).

The Gift of the Xweetok is just an exact retelling of the Gift of the Magi, no twists or adjustments based on the characters they're using, and speaking of which why did they even include Brucey B (either have the male be a generic character or maybe make the girl Princes Fernypoo and adjust what the gifts are to make sense for each character)? DAY 5: Best Advent PrizeMY PICK: Wraith Encounters in the Haunted Woods
Looks cool.

There were better choices, though no matter what they picked I think the Wraith Encounters and Stamp are probably still going to be 1st and 2nd. DAY 6: Best NP ForegroundMY PICK: Brightvale Jail Cell Foreground
The only NP option for a "jail cell" foreground so pretty unique (and I feel looks even better than the few NC options they have).
WINNER: Sea Glass Foreground
Looks pretty, I guess probably has a bit more uses than the jail cell.
OTHER NOMINEES:
Slushie Stand Foreground is a cute one I was considering though felt it was just as situational as the jail cell though not as unique.
Washed Up Sandcastle Foreground is yet another beach one like Sea Glass Foreground. |

DAY 7: Best NP Wearable
MY PICK: Tormunds Shield
Don't have any strong feelings toward any of these, so I'll rep Meridell even though I knew it wasn't going to win... but jeez, 4%. Guess I know how to pick the underdog, huh.
WINNER: Charming Spring Background
Unless the clothes on show are really amazing, usually it's going to be the fully drawn backgrounds that are gonna win these things (even if we have a batch of similar backgrounds already).
OTHER NOMINEES:
Clockwork Dress looks nice, though we have plenty of other steampunk clothes that look more cool and also aren't gender-specific. Glad Steampunk Gals got a dress, but it's not winning any awards.
If Tormunds Shield wasn't a choice I might have picked Potion Master Cloak as it's a nice looking cloak. Got any mystical and/or mysterious character who would wear a cloak this is certainly a top option. But as I said, it's not spectacular so kind of pales in comparison with a background.
DAY 8: Best Site Event
MY PICK & WINNER: Faerie Quests (2020)
Past Faerie Quest Events have essentially been forgettable events to just give an excuse to have a free week of Faerie Quests (without using NC). So I was pleasently surprised that last year's Faerie Quest not only had a more deeper theme but a really intriguing one on top of that which uses a C-list character. Mr. Krawley has shown up in Faerieland and sold the Faeries magical items which grant their surface desires in true "monkey paw" fashion. Though thankfully the situations are more tame (and somewhat comical) and Krawley has told them what item they needed to undo their self-affliction (which were the items requested for the Faerie Quest).
It was a fun idea and I liked seeing how each Faerie got in trouble (infact they went out of there way to give each Faerie multiple problems!). Sadly two things held it back. First & minor, really no ending to it. After causing so much troubles for the Faeries for no reason, Mr. Krawley got up and left without any further punishment. Second and a bigger issue, because they changed the items requested into specific items some users bought up and inflated the rarer items and it took JS too long to fix the issue; really put a sour taste to the event. JS really should get in contact with Jellyneo or maybe even some of us as we could have told them something like that was going to happen.
However, the concept of the event I found interesting enough to get my vote, and I wasn't the only one. Give me at least some hope that as time goes on JS improves on their storytelling and site lore, at least to make interesting events (not sure about plots, maybe outsource those...).
OTHER NOMINEES:
Festival of Neggs (2020) would have been my second choice. The Neggnapper and it's backstory/relation to the Neggbreaker is a bit confusing and somewhat contrived (a lot of headcanon needed to explain certain aspects), but it was an interesting idea nonetheless and I'm curious if there are any future plans for both of them (and is there any other family relatives we'd need to worry about).
Saving Dacardia, aka Charity Corner 2020, was an intersting premise but the execution was botched. Like, I get it, with the conversion they didn't want to deal with the boons this year, but I don't think the prize shop idea works with Charity Corner. They really should have gone back to how things were done the first few years. Actually, they could have with the capsules, but they REALLY botched that concept. Everyone on the boards have told them exactly what they should have done with the capsules, HOPEFULLY next year they listen to our feedback and finally we can reach that golden middle-ground we've all been asking for with Charity Corner.
Altador Cup XV, fifteenth anniversay you'd think they'd do something special but it's the same as it has been previous years. No roster changes, pre-cup news all boring "we're going to do better this year" instead of telling what other stuff the team members have been doing between seasons, nothing new even though AC needs an update (which they'll kind of be forced to do now). Not to mention them suddenly changing the Final's rules last second which allowed Kiko Lake to win when Meridell would have won (that said the rule change made sense, but to do is last minute felt like they were purposely holding off just to mess with Meridell). *Sigh*

NC so not much to say. No real reason, was thinking Luxury Sky Box Lounge but decided since I picked Faerie Quests for "Best Site Event" I'd just also pick it's NC Feature even though I don't think Delina really was any different.

Not that it matter as I was wrong eitherway. *Shrugs*
