Hi y'all!

I put together a list of collab themes based on what y'all put on the planning board. Pick your top four choices! Likely the top two will end up being our eighteenth and nineteenth collabs. Looks like 2021 *might* be our 20th collab as well. Hard to imagine it's been a thing this long, haha.

Poll locks at the end of the month.

If there are particular interpretations of the theme you'd like to explain or to try and recruit folks for your theme ideas/favorites, feel free to post below. I'm keeping this up through the end of the year.

Realizing retro vs Vintage could totally fall under old vs. new. Whoops. And if there's a write-in you guys really want that I forgot, put that below!

And uh, I could totally get excited for Pirates vs Ninjas, just saying. XD

I cast my votes already but honestly there's a lot of these I don't mind doing or already have ideas for a.k.a. I could shoehorn some of my existing story ideas into them.

Pirates vs. ninjas really takes me back though.

I'm quite excited about Action-packed because action scenes, but also about Behind the Scenes, because that can lead to many fourth wall-leaning or -breaking shenanigans! Not always the easiest to pull off, but would be excellent for a collab, especially if we reference each other's submissions. =o

I thought it'd be cool because I like seeing how things are done, such as people's writing processes, or how they make comics, and so on. Plus there's the whole other way to do it, with meta jokes and such.

If Behind the Scenes doesn't make it, it likely won't be off the table forever. It'll just have to wait until the three winning themes are done and we can start choosing our next themes.

I think we can now put all these collabs in the six-way tie into the queue, the secondary poll will be for deciding which collabs will go first.

Oh snap, I think I may have ideas for all of the themes in the six way tie. 👀

That is an amazing tie, it just shows what cool themes we've got here! All the better to have many more collabs.

I'm surprised by the Escape theme's popularity, to me it seems to have popped out of nowhere! I wonder how people are planning to go about it, to me the more literal version of escape scenes easily fits into Action-packed, while the more figurative version, as in escapism, would basically... encompass all genres?

I had similar questions run through my head regarding Escape, and then I look up and see that I voted for it? I honestly can't remember what motivated me to vote for it, but perhaps because I don't usually submit to themes but rather observe, I didn't worry too much about if I had ideas for it or not xD But yeah same, it's an intriguing sounding theme, I'd be curious to hear people's ideas for it!

But as such, I actually switched up my votes a little, so now there's at least a leading theme xD
