Huntress Sorry, I think my rambling muddled up my message. ^^; I am signing up for sure! My question was, is it okay if I send just generic friendship cards this year instead of the usual winter holiday themed ones? Well, that's pretty much between you and each individual card-receiver. Personally, we in this household would still love to get winter holiday cards if it's all the same to you - even if it ends up arriving way late, it'll still join my pile of past cards to be used to decorate the house next Christmas. ( Especially the awesome 3D card you sent last year - that's defo going to become a centerpiece this year, since it's nice and sturdy.) Whereas a generic friendship card would be appreciated this one time and then probably land in a drawer until the kids are someday old enough to be looting through them. Buuut that's me and my squirreling tendencies, so if the others are okay with generic friendship cards then that's a-okay by me ^^

I'm not bothered about the kind of cards I receive. Friendship cards are lovely, Ginz!!! =D
I bought my Christmas cards today (will source other cards for peeps who have asked for them, just Christmas cards are the easiest to acquire inexpensively in bulk!) Anyway, I think they are super cute and that you folks will like them. =D

Buuut that's me and my squirreling tendencies, so if the others are okay with generic friendship cards then that's a-okay by me ^^ Ahh, that's fair! See, I don't have the habit of decorating with holiday cards, although maybe I should start doing that! But in my case, that means all holiday and friendship cards alike go to my special 'cards and letters' box, to be looked at when I need some cheering up, or when I just feel like it. 💖 So, I didn't consider that point, and I'm really glad you brought it up! I can definitely send a winter holiday card to be put up in Frunty's house in 2021! I'm very happy and honored you liked my 3D card from last year and will display it so nicely! Maybe this year I will be more conscientious about the cards I send, because the past couple of years I just went on big card hauls, and then tried my best to match up cards to forumers (which was always VERY HARD XD) But if I'm doing half holiday and half friendship cards this year, I can be like "okay, This One Specifically is for Frunty, and This One is for Thorn" etc...) and maybe we'll all be happier. XD Anyway, my ramblings took over again, but TL;DR: Good point, Hunty! Will definitely send you (and anyone else who prefers it) Winter Holiday Cards! <3

I went to a thrift store with .25 cent cards and stocked up, as one does. 8D A few are holiday cards, more so birds and nature and stuff.

Ah that's awesome! =D I wish thrift stores here had stuff like that, such a cool way to get a good variety for cheap.

Looks like we've already hit a participation record this year; the list never broke ten people in the past =D (2020 is making people want to get together and spread some cheer, who'da guessed amiright?)
I was going to be all lofty about our magnificent online shopping possibilities, but then I went to stock up on stamps and envelopes on the postal system website and encountered the absolute most chaotic evil e-shop I've seen in this fine country.
Me: "La la la think I'll be needing ten envelopes to pad my stock. *clicks*" Shop: ... Me: *clicks again* Shop: *adds twenty to cart* Me: *goes to cart, enters 10 as amount* Shop: lol you now have 17 envelopes Me: whut. Enter 10 again. Shop: 13? Me: *curses the heavens, attempts to adjust manually one at a time* Shop: *insta-jumps to 7* Me: AUGH FINE DELETE AND RE-ADD Shop: YOU SHALL NOT PASS
Christmas cards haven't even started to stock yet, so I might have to ride into battle with the shop again in a few weeks, but I still have a handful left over from last year so the process can kick off sooner. Whoo, forethought.

Before I start writing... Is there a specific card you'd like to get (nature/holiday/specifically Christmas etc.)? I have a stack o' cards. Lots of nature stuff (and yes, some are birds ).

I will take a birb!! Besides that, don't have any real preferences. I like seeing what sorts of cards people throw at me. ^^ So anything goes. Pick something I might like.

I am happy with any card! I love nature art, but also love the celebratory feel of holiday cards. <3

I'm cool with any cards people have to offer as well :3 I'm good with holiday-themed (specific holiday doesn't matter, could be Christmas or another specific holiday you may celebrate (if you've got yule themed that'd be cool, as I dunno if I've come across one before!), winter-themed, or any other kind of card you like or would work best for you! Also, Huntress would now be a good time to send you the address we'd like our cards to be sent to?

Also, Huntress would now be a good time to send you the address we'd like our cards to be sent to? If you'd like, which is to say, if you're sure that there won't be changes in your address or participation status any more ^^ This event's signup deadline works both ways: anyone who feels the need to back out can also back out before the list is locked. Otherwise I'll just start prodding people to send me those addresses after the clock ticks down.

Okay, cards chosen for everyone, woo! 8D I might even throw in like, a dime or something for the folks from outside the US. I tend to go a little overboard so uhhh you'll probably know which cards are from me. XD

In general I'll be aiming to post update-prods every Sunday, but in light of timezones and babies and various other factors that like to take turns breathing down my neck, "doing my darndest to post in the general vicinity of Sunday" may be more accurate. Yay, record turnout this year! =D Signups are now locked and y'all can start hoarding cards, envelopes, stamps and everything else that you may want to pour in there. Broadly speaking it may be smart to get the cards to people farthest from you sent by the end of November, and the cards to the nearest people by mid-December at the latest, but experience has shown that there's so much individual wibbly-wobbly even without this year's postal shenanigans that the wisest approach to take is "send when you can, hope for the best". Which is pretty characteristic of the holidays, anyway. Also, this is the point to send me your addresses (or just let me know here on the thread or wherever-else-works that your address hasn't changed since last year. The PMs with last year's addresses are still on the first page of my inbox so they won't be difficult to dig up :'D) Celestial Twillie Carolyn Birdy Nat Thorn Liou Ginz ❤ Pixie Kat Allison Thundy
