That's a challenge. Epic Tomato is more towards the center, but has grown less. Meanwhile, Tomatosaurus Rex is on the sidelines, but is rising up, like an underdog, if the underdog was also a T. Rex.

Aww I'm glad y'all liked the banners, these tomato plants have been giving me great entertainment. I had ideas for four of them and ran out of steam after that, four out of six isn't bad - woah *slip* *stumble* aaaah *rolls and tumbles down stairs* *dusts self off* Anyway.
I tried to draw the plants with some sort of resemblance to the latest photo, but they've probably changed quite a bit since. |

Man, I did say that I'd get unreasonably attached to these tomatoes xD Which is to say that thanks to 1) y'all here, 2) especially Liou , whose banners I'd totally get printed out and somehow stick on those little plastic labels to attach to the tomato plants, if we weren't currently in the middle of that wee global pandemic (watch this space) and 3) the fact that six tomatoes are better than three, I'm throwing the entire gardening process out of whack and changed the way the final culling round works. THUS, instead of brutally murdering three of the six champions, I've gone and repotted the ones I deemed to be less viable. We still get winners and losers this way, BUT the actual long-term winners will only emerge in a week or two, depending on whether I screwed anything up during the surgeries. Did the repotted fighters get damaged in the process and won't survive after all? Did the remaining survivors get damaged while I was removing the less worthy and will wither last minute while their former neighbor prevails? Will everyone die? Will everyone survive? TIME WILL TELL. (Well, and since they're all nice and strong and leafy now, I didn't really have the heart to just throw three of them out >> I may not be very well cut out to be a gardener.) In the interests of fairness, though, I continue to do this blind and didn't check who I extracted and who was left in the original pots. I let Fraze sit on the sidelines and take notes, so you'll have to wait for his verdict to see how the roster now stands. |
