THREE POTS.THREE CHAMPIONS.DOZENS OF SEEDS.WHOWILLSURVIVE?
Started on the Quarantine Support thread here, the most epic battle of tomato-related survival this forum has ever seen. Plants will be eliminated as the weak get pulled, and more challengers who haven't yet sprouted may arise. Plants will continue to be pruned out, until only two plants will remain in each pot. Then begins a one-on-one battle where the winner will go on to bear fruit, and the loser gets relegated to the compost. When the competition started, the battlefield looked like this: In Arena 1 (top left), we had 4 competitors: Jeran, Cthulhu Jr., Steve, and Princess Sparkles. In Arena 2 (bottom left), we had 5 competitors: Tomato, Tomato 2: Botanic Boogaloo, Chet Flash, Salsa (some assembly required), and Karen. And in Arena 3 (right), we had Fyora, Spiderman, Tomatosaurus Rex, Viney Fruit Boi, Epic Tomato Please Do Not Eat, and Plucky Sidekick. Despite popular support, Tomato 2: Botanic Boogaloo was eliminated in Arena 2 mere minutes after the competition began. Meanwhile in Arena 3, Spiderman and Plucky Sidekick both met with similar fates. Here is the current competition standing: Place your bets! Show your support! Cheer the contestants and share in their victories and defeats! Only one plant in each arena will remain, will it be your favorite?

I am liking the look of Princess Sparkles and Tomatosaurus Rex. I would like to send them a sponsor gift in the form of some extra feeding.

I feel I should state that in the interests of fairness (and smart tomato-growing), I'm not keeping up with the arena carnage, otherwise I'll risk getting swayed by the popular vote. We all like to root for the underdog, but the world of tomato survival is brutal. So I'll be weeding out the weak and Fraze can keep track of the challenger list, feel free to poke him about it occasionally, I don't have any kind of a regular schedule for my tomatomurders.
There's also a risk that the cats and/or toddler will deus ex machina some or all of them out of existence at some point, so the house takes no responsibility for any funds lost to circumstances of force majeure, etc etc.

Noooo, not Tomato 2: Botanic Boogaloo! D= You will remain forever in my heart, lil seedling.
...Viney Fruit Boi, then! Looks like a good strong tomato...must be a career tribute from district one. ;-P

In which case sure thing xD I could probably whip something up myself (been translating enough force majeure disclaimers over the years to be able to crib off of them) but that rather defeats the point of delegation and the whole concept of ensuring applicability in varied legal systems tends to make me twitchy.

Why don't we consider toddler and/or cats an Arena Event that can occassionally strike with no warning to keep the competitors on their toes?

Consider it pro bono as I am doing this for the lulz and the thrill of watching tomato plant carnage. Boy howdy I live on a lot of "is there a force majeure provision in this contract THERE IS NONE, I SHALL INSERT ONE" these days. At least force majeure is universal enough. I'll come back with a nice shiny disclaimer. Be glad I'm not asking for payment in the form of "rig the carnage in my favor so I win my bet" hue hue hue hue

I like Celes's idea, anyway - cats and toddlers are a Super Special Random Event to amp up the excitement >=D Can't make it too easy for the bookies.

I've spread this to my IRL friends, since they were curious about the Tomato Games when I mentioned it off-hand.
Bets are for the following: Viney Fruit Boi Tomatosaurus Rex (50 p) Tomato Cthulhu Jr.
