By the fourth day--or, what seemed to be the fourth day--the weather was getting out of hand.
It had first started suddenly on a lazy spring morning, and was a cause of chatter. The sky had rained glitter like it was a child’s birthday party, coating the gardens and streets in clinging craft supplies--which was odd, but only a minor annoyance. And the following day, when the water was drawn up out of the ground, and the whole district suffered from a torrential up-pour--that, too, was dealt with. When the third day brought a blizzard that swept through town in a matter of hours before leaving scorching heat in its wake--that was...well, that was a little more difficult, but still mostly manageable.
But by now, day and night had lost their distinction, and it had been dawn and dusk for several hours at random, or the light and darkness had marbled the atmosphere in strange swirls. It was doing horrors to the residents’ sleep schedule and productivity, especially to the few eccentrics who had returned to sundials for their timekeeping.
By general consensus, the town just couldn’t take this much longer. Aggravated and sleep-deprived residents left their homes, treading around leftover glitter and water, and gazed about town, trying to figure out what they could do next. Maybe if they banded together, they would be able to figure something out. It was worth a shot, anyway.

April Showers is a short mystery puzzle game brought to you all by Lizica and Pixie. We’re thinking it should run a little under two weeks, and will feature a light, zany RP and a variety of puzzles, with a mixture of team and individual play.
To play:
- Sign up in the thread below, and we’ll add you to the roster!
- Develop an established or new persona for a casual modern fantasy setting. (Think closer to a Trick-or-Treat house setting, rather than a hardcore Mafia game setting.)
Sign ups will remain open until the week’s end, Saturday, April 11th.
We welcome NPCs if you can’t sign up, but if you’re interested in the puzzles at all, we’d recommend joining officially!
And with that, who’s up for figuring out what’s causing all this ridiculous weather? I’m sure there’s a perfectly logical explanation for all this.
