So. As I've said elsewhere, I've been without my laptop for nearly two weeks. Luckily, I remembered where in my entry I left off, so I was able to continue from there with good ol' fashioned paper and pencil. And believe it or not, I managed to be the most productive I've been in years and actually finished it a couple days ago. ...Now I need to type it all up. Hopefully it won't take too long, so I should be ready to submit either tonight or tomorrow. But the thing that does concern me a little is that the length ended up getting away from me, meaning my estimate of a three to four part series ballooned into an eight part series. I kinda feel like a piece of that length may be too late to get published in a couple weeks time, but I'll just have to cross my fingers and see. (Also, Carolyn , could you please switch my entry from Short Stories to Series in the bookkeeping post? Thanks. )

Hey Carolyn, I'm on the list twice in the bookkeeping post probably because I wasn't sure in the beginning which one I wanted to do. I'm just doing an article titled "The Culture and History of Faerieland", so can you please fix that? Thanks! I think I'm ready to submit by EOD today. Submitted now. Did one final spellcheck using UK English. Also, don't copy and paste directly from Office online into the NT submission form; it'll insert a bunch of additional newlines. Always paste directly from the apps.

Keeping my fingers crossed that this isn't too late for a ~50-page series... I do feel in some ways that this one is a bit rushed with how the deadline loomed closer and closer while my progress stalled until very recently. But this series has at least given me a good excuse to write about something concerning one of my Infinity characters that I've wanted to do for a very, very long time.

The couple weeks where humans weren't allowed in the Times threw me off. I was supposed to spend those weeks brainstorming and drawing a comic, but instead I was writing an article for a moot point now.
I plan to revise "A History of Humans in the Neopian Times" based on the reversal and send it in. I worked hard on that piece, and I'd like for it not to go to waste.'
Meanwhile, though, I've got nothing for the actual collab, and I don't see that changing by Friday. All I had before was a vague notion of doing something with "Sketch Sketch Book" where I draw most of the panels in a sketchy style before having the punchline in my normal style. But that's not an actual comic.
I suppose I should also resubmit my rejected comic as well, which should be fine if Twillie's got accepted.

I sent in a short story.
Had to rewrite most of it, so hopefully it succeeds!

"Sophies Leave Me Alone Notice" the short story - named after the item and all - is also held over (I'm not going to copy paste y'all know exactly what the NM is like) and it's so weird to not be late to the collab?! I had accidentally 100% convinced my brain that the issue was going to be this Saturday 13th and so I submitted that week. xD Now that people are actually being held over, I keep thinking I need to hurry up and finish my entry. (Next collab I will try to trick myself into submitting for an earlier issue in the same way.)

Considering the length, I'm quite surprised to hear back on this only about a week after I submitted it, even if other people are getting their held overs for the collab right now too. I wasn't expecting to hear back until next week.
Either way, glad to see it!
EDIT:
Well that was quick! 0_o
Wonder if that means that there won't be a Neopian Times this week? I did specify in the comments that this was for the collab.

I got this today too:
And quite a number of people on the collab board in the NT Writers section of the Neoboards are also saying they're receiving acceptance neomails. Not sure if this means the collab issue will be out early, or if the editor simply decided to send out the acceptances early. I guess we'll see o:

AWW YEAH I'm not sure if they just sent acceptances early either, but that's a possibility.
I hope they read my series too because I'm now one 12-part series away from 200

Yeah, I'm curious to see what the NT will look like tomorrow, if it does come out this week. I've yet to get an acceptance or holdover for part 2 of my series, I don't remember if non-collab entries have been getting acceptances the past couple days.

>.> <.< See, I only ever manage to be productive with my comicdrawing if I don't commit to it beforehand Was also a bit confused by the early acceptance, but if everyone else is also getting theirs for the collab issue then things are maybe-hopefully fine.
