Officially committing to an article: Culture and History of Faerieland. I think TNT has left a lot of this wide open since Faerieland still seems like a mysterious place. I might also delve into the origin of faeries. What I will do is have my article cite “Faeries from Paradise.”

Oh, gosh. I think I'm actually going to commit to an idea in advance here on the bookkeeping thread, instead of being all, I'll just SURPRISE everyone at the last minute (including the editor) because I wasn't sure if I could finish or not... But I'm absolutely determined to finish something for this collab considering how excited I was about it. Proposed title of entry: Hansos Guide to Escaping Dungeons Type of entry: COMIC Short description: [insert book's actual description here] An illustrated guide on how to break out of prison from the master escape artist himself! Contains full color photos of Hanso and a tour inside the Brightvale dungeons! (Not approved by Brynn.) Do I think Hanso would have contributed some original doodles to this publication? Yes. Yes, I do. Collaborator? Hanso ...And now I will pray to the humor gods to grant me an extra sensitive funny bone and a great deal of wit to be able to pull this off. (I am so sorry in advance if this falls flat. But maybe that can now explain why this book sells for so little, lol.) Unnecessary rambling from me: After going through quite possibly the full list of books on JN's database, I think this one is the only one that inspired a more concrete idea of how it could look and be like. I originally was hoping to go with a fiction book to make some sort of graphic novel (hopefully short, lol), but none called out to me as much - or it felt too ambitious. But while this book immediately appealed (for obvious reasons), I didn't really want to do it because 1) I have no idea how one escapes from jail (but I see that as a good thing...? But anyway, I have some ideas how to get around that); and 2) I do not feel clever or funny enough to successfully pull off Hanso's voice. But oh, god, I'm doing it anyway...! Dx *prays fervently*

I really should start thinking about this. I did get a book from a random event called Scorchio Sketch Book images.neopets.com/items/boo_scorchio_sketch.gif "Step by step guides to help your Neopet draw Scorchios with ease." I'm not exactly interested in drawing Scorchos, but maybe it can inspire something else. So I looked up items with the word "sketch" in them. I found Sketch Sketch Book images.neopets.com/items/boo_real_sketch.gif "Where better to jot down all your doodles and designs?" It's technically a school item, and not a book, but I think it's close enough if I want it to be. So maybe I can do something with that.

No problemo, Carolyn. Rest up, hope your hand feels even better soon!
MMMKAY with the monster series out of the way, I'm already doing my article and will prioritize it so I don't have to scream and run around in circles next month.

Update on my end, I'm uh... more than likely going to cut it really close to the deadline with this one. I'm kinda starting to fear that I won't get it done in time...
Right now I'm about halfway through the third part, which I'm anticipating will be the halfway mark of the whole series. I'm indeed managing to keep the word count on each individual part lower than what I usually do for series, so hopefully that's what will end up saving me in the end. Either way, if I do get it done on time, it may be a bit of a rush job and not be as polished as my other works.
I did say I'd do a description once I had some progress to speak of. And (slow) progress has indeed been made, so here it is:
Proposed title of entry: Quarry Life Type of entry: Series Short description: In modern times, the Obsidian Quarry in Moltara is run responsibly under reputable management. But over a century and a half ago, workers there toiled under harsh conditions and an oppressive company. A pair of roommates work as hard as they can to keep afloat under such pressures, but a bit of luck may provide their ticket to a better life.

This article grew out of a series of friendly neomails. Title of entry: How to Maths: the Food Club Edition Type of entry: Article
Short description: What is ROI? What does TER mean? Stephanie interviews Phoenix, the Food Club pro.
Collaborator: phoenix79 Carolyn - What is the recommended time frame for submitting the article? It's been a long while since I've done one of these collabs. I'm assuming now is too early and we should wait till June 10 or so?

Stephanie (swordlilly)- I'd say you can submit it now. As far as I know there aren't any special issues coming up, so more time for them to review is a good thing. Kat- Yay! *high fives* Your story, "Basic Potion Brewing", has been submitted successfully. Click here to submit another story or comic. \o/

Thanks for the reminder June! Given all the um, confusion around the NT at the moment, are we certain that the collab is still scheduled to happen?

Darn. I am doing some self-revision and I just realized that I totally missed a section about Faerie Holidays in my article. Going to quickly write it and update it.

DO'H! If I knew I would have written something in April. Gonna sit this one out.
Is there any way we can be alerted when a new collab is announced? If we don't maybe we should have someplace with a list of names that can be tagged of writers who would be interested in writing in collabs.
