I'm interested in doing roleplay.
What kind of roleplay, you ask?
(As in, I've no particular ideas for roleplay, nor am I familiar with all the types of roleplay this forum has done. But I'm interested in roleplaying.)
Probably lowkey, plotless roleplaying, stuff people could drop in and out of.
I have the vague idea that Icy Taco used to be the place for random roleplay, but also had its own history and towns and such, which I have little knowledge of. If a forum historian wants to take the lead on that, I'd be fine with that.
I know we all have a shared history with Neopets, though not all of us play it anymore. Still, Neopia might also be a decent setting for something.
All sorts of options, really. Not sure where to start, but maybe this can spark something.

Sounds fun! I'm all down for plotless wacky chatstuff, and I'm sure I could manage Neopets still (bit rusty, but if it's plotless it's not very hard to say 'I am a green Yurble called Frog!' or whatever.)

I don't know much about the Icy Taco myself, as I never really participated and it was much less active when I came around, but I do know that it indeed had its own rules of conduct on where and what to roleplay. There was also a separate and more general Roleplay board we had, which I imagine is what this would be like, where it's just roleplaying whatever you please!
I'mma throw some of my own Neopets characters into the ring, but that doesn't mean others have to do Neopets if they join! My Neo characters just have been on the mind recently (probably one of the the only things on my mind this past week) since I've been working on their comics x3
--- Tucked cozily in a corner sits a table with a couple chairs. In these sit two figures who appear very different in stature and attitude, but they share each others' company regardless.
Zathandria, a Tyrannian Aisha, focuses on a thick book laid out on the table before her. While she sits in a reading position, she still glances up now and then towards her companion.
Across from her sits Jonathon, a human with a nervous disposition, although this seems to lessen with each drink he takes.
They each have a mug by their side, both wooden and bulky, almost pirate-like. Zathandria's contains a blue, bubbly drink, and Jonathon's a fruity green. Both seem to have the same effect on them, though.
Jonathon: I can't believe myself...
Zathandria: You've been stressing about this for over ten minutes now.
Jonathon: I just wanted to make her job easier, how can I mess up an order that bad? She didn't understand even after I tried repeating so many times...
Zathandria: Look, I promise you the waitress has already forgotten about it. She works customer service, she doesn't have the time to care.
Jonathon: I can't stop thinking about it, though. I don't know what I'll do when she comes back...
Zathandria: Well, in the meantime, you might as well actually enjoy the drink that caused you so much grief. It'll probably make you feel better, too.
Jonathon takes another drink, slumping against the back of his chair. The grog doesn't seem to calm his concerns, though, but instead loosens his words up even more. Zathandria tries to turn back to her book as he continues to ramble on, looking annoyed.
Tldr; Zathandria and Jonathon are hanging out in a vague restaurant location and sharing drinks. Will they meet others as they get progressively more drunk? I spent too long writing all this

As the Eventide Ixi takes a seat next to Zathandria and Jonathon, the two of them have differing reactions. Zathandria doesn't so much as look up from her book, assuming that if the 'Pet needed anything they'd say so. Meanwhile, Jonathon fights the urge to jump in his chair, surprised by the sudden presence of a stranger. Itching in his seat and tightly clasping his mug, he can't help but say something to clear the air.

Starla watches Jonathon with a bemused smile, making no move to stop his actions, from making room, to chugging his drink.
While Jonathon is preoccupied with his drink, Starla turns to Zathandria. Her smile widens.
Starla: You could say magic was something I was always destined to do.
She scarcely allows time for her statement to settle in before changing the subject.
Starla: Fire magic? That is hard to control, but always very impressive to watch. I'm very curious where your friend is heading with this. Any magic tendencies yourself? Or elements you favor, magical or otherwise?

Zathandria: Ha, yeah fire's great. I do the same thing as him, he's uh... been teaching me a couple things lately.
Jonathon empties his cup and takes a gasp of breath as he puts it back to the table.
Zathandria: As for where he's heading, I really wish I could tell you.
Jonathon hiccups and looks to them with an annoyed expression.
Jonathon: You act like I'm gonna blow something up, one drink doesn't get me drunk-
Zathandria: This isn't your first drink.
Jonathon: I feel just fine!
The slight sway in his sitting position probably didn't look help his case.
Jonathon: I was just gonna do this-
He does a swift motion with his hands, quickly raising one hand palm-up until a small flame suddenly forms above it. Loosening his fingers, the fire grows and follows his motion, spreading until half his hand is covered. Although technically on fire, Jonathon only laughs a little at the sight and looks to the others for their reactions.
(would you believe me if I told you I originally put off replying for fear of giving away potential character spoilers, then forgetting to reply long enough that said spoilers have since been revealed in story? xD;; )
