Hi y'all! Time to pick a 15th Collab theme. Pick your top two answers--poll closes at the end of Match. Feel free to post why you picked what you did! ((Edit: Art of the Stage can be loosely interpreted. I just put Neopian Broadway to make sure folks knew where I was going with that idea, haha. ^^; )

Admittedly whenever I vote on collab themes, I always gravitate at first to the themes that I can justify fitting in with my comics anyway xD I don't really have room to make comics specifically for a theme, but if the theme coincides with what I already make, then I can justify saying it's still a part of it! x3
That being said, one I went for was seasons, in part because of aforementioned reasoning, and also just because I love the seasons so much that there's a bunch of fun stuff I feel can be done with them. Seasons and weather is a universal experience after all, so we probably all got something to say about it!
I also went with Neopian Literature, as the idea of making a story out of the many Neopian books out there really caught my interest. There's thousands of options out there, plus a number of book titles that introduce an interesting or mysterious topic with little explanation, so I'd definitely be interested to see the angles people may take with that!

Well, I already expressed my interest in the Neopian Literature idea in the other thread, so of course that one got my vote. :3 I'm already itching to look through the book selection for one to work with, premature as that is, lol.
I was deciding between "Arts and Crafts" and "Cakes and Sweets" because I have two pets that could fit both themes (one is an artist, the other likes to eat sweets), but a possible idea with the Autographed Hanso Drawing Lithograph popped into mind, so that swayed me toward Arts and Crafts (my immediate second choice originally before I noticed the other theme).

I can't remember if I've done a story based on Neopian books but I HAVE done a few based on TCG cards, and if TCG cards offer a rich mine of ideas, Neopian lit is going to be a pretty huge source of inspiration.
I went with the stage as my second choice because I want an excuse to write a crazy ton of dreadful poetry.

Oh dear, I was about to vote and pretty hype for the art of the stage as I thought it would be quite a versatile theme, but I hadn't realised it was supposed to be Broadway-themed more specifically, that is not quite up my alley (let alone accessible from my area :'D) I'll be choosing from Literature, Cosmic, and Arts and Crafts, then. Literature: expanding on book items with curious titles! Cosmic: wondrous stargazing, serene meditation on balance and harmony, cosmic horror, existential terror, philosophy and/or aliens, all this sort of thing c:

I think "Broadway" can be loosely interpreted for NT purposes, we can just make it applicable to all things related to the stage. I'm just hyped about being able to write dumb stupid songs.

Hmmm, for the "Stage" I was thinking of things as varied as music, dancing, speeches, award ceremonies, fashion shows, rap battles, backstage urban legends, and literally any story as long as it's in the form of a script with stage directions. So, did the "Stage" in that topic really mean "Stage musicals" specifically?

Nah, I think stage can be any of the above. *Shrug* My bad on being more specific in the poll there, but I dunno if it's editable now. ^^;

Carolyn Thanks! It's all good, now I know that the theme can be flexible and a piece on a rap battle won't throw off the musicals' groove! =D

Okay, finally had the chance to think about this and vote. I went with Neopian Literature and The Seasons. Neopian Literature is a really interesting and unique concept. The Seasons sounds nice and peaceful to me, which is a boon right now.
Not much time left for voting, so make sure to get your votes in too!

Since "The Cosmic" won second place, do we want to default to that for #16? Aesop seems to be excited for it, haha.

I'm good with doing cosmic.
I did have an idea for the theme after that, though. I think partly what made Neopian Literature so successful was that it was so broad. So I had the idea of a "Friendship" theme as well, since that's nice and broad like Villains and heroes were.

We can always do a poll battle for Stage vs Cosmic? And throw in Seasons and Friendship for our 3rd and 4th option? I can roll whichever way

Nah Carolyn, let's not create more work for ourselves, just go with cosmic. Just a suggestion for next year's theme.

Works for me *shrug*. Aesop is good with early October, so probably either the 2nd or the 9th, whichever is easier for them.
