Sounds wonderful! Was a bit sad this looked like an event I couldn't be part of...but since writing will be part of it too, I'd love to take part! I had so much fun writing Moni's characters in the last exchange.

I love magical girls too, which is why I need to get off my butt (I typed "get my butt off" the first time and I was like...ah, am I going to detach my butt like one particular Philippine folklore creature who can remove the entire lower half of her body) and write one. Or, what if I wrote OH NO HERE WE GO AGAIN with my imagination going "how can I write a story for the NT with magical girl transformations, no what if it's magical DUDE transformations"...
I wish I could draw (or draw like I used to do a bit when I was a wee elementary lassie). Thinking of some of my characters as magical girls is making me giggle inside.

I found my way back to the NTWF myself some time back after I upgraded to lawyerbot and dipped my toes in the legal profession for a few years. I mean, I could maybe make a magical girl who is part manananggal (that's the name of the creature that can remove her lower half and they are more often than not female). |

Ohh those! I believe I've heard of them a few times, and most recently saw a cool animated one - the Penanggalan enemy in the computer game Indivisible. And yeah I saw your avoKat update (i will never get over the various avocado-adjacent terms for lawyer), congrats on coming so very far in the last several years. My beloved maternal grandpa was a lawyer advocating for the rural poor of our historically class-stratified area and it's ingrained a general admiration for kind and ethical avocados. The demands of a career in law strike me as staggering, but the emotional rewards for a passionate and driven person proportionaly great.
And that'd be totally metal. Imagine her transformation...
I would like to make a folkloric-thing magical girl too. Indian witches are supposed to have backwards feet, so like. idk. is that anything? ((insert scene of her running to school with a toaste in her mouth, but backwards))

Thanks! I wish to do something as big as your grandpa one day, but before I can do that, I need to keep learning to be a good avocado. Also LAJLDFASF maybe that's one of her special abilities, being able to run backwards. There are Filipino witches but I plan to kinda set the magical girls apart from them as a witch would be the one who will give her the power. |

I always enjoy watching the swaps unfold!
The randomly-assigned swap partners aspect always frightens me, but I think I'd have fun participating with my own characters in my own little corner. X'D
