Been trying to finish shuffling my ToT House ideas into place. For awhile I thought I'd draw some art, but now I'm thinking it'd work fine without it. xD
If we start around the 24th, how long do you think it'd go on for? Ending on Halloween, or November 1st, or so?
In any case, am looking forward to what madness you all create. 8D

So I'm aiming to close the houses on the 3rd. So we're looking at October 24th - November 3rd, with the boards closing on the third. |

Uh oh this is earlier than expected, do you mean 24th as the day roleplaying begins, or the day when the board comes up and we start setting up threads?

The board goes up, and people can set up and start their threads whenever they want. If I'm not mistaken, this is to give some wiggle room for RP/story heavy ToT houses.
Due to the short and simple nature of my houses, I typically start them closer to Halloween night.

Killix's explanation is correct.
It's also to give people time to reply on them and account for time zones. After all, half the fun of a house is its visitors!
For me personally, I've been feeling pretty demotivated on ToT houses, so I dunno about having one on my end.

As the keeper of the forum calendar, isn't there usually a subboard made for National Novel Writing Month made around this time? Is anyone doing NaNoWriMo this year?

There is, the subboard for it opened a few hours ago and is found under Writer's Workshop! It just needs intro post right now, but you're free to make your own thread there.
I've never been great at keeping up with Nano threads I've made in years past, not that I've ever gone the traditional novel route. But I do have a comic series I need to actually start drawing, so I'll be working on that at least.

Heads up, I'll be closing the Trick or Treat board within about an hour. If you'd like me to hold off, now's the time to ping me.
(I might put the Treat Loot Circle in the splatterboard to allow for follow-up talk before moving it with the rest.)
