At the close of summer, I made a list of goals I wanted to fulfill by the end of 2019, one of them being to finish the next arc for Blossoms. I laid a schedule out for it, and over the course of these past couple months, not only did I finish drafting Arc 5's script, but the script for Arc 6 suddenly came along too (I actually finished Arc 6 first, lol, 5 took a lot more wrestling to get right). Just in time for NaNo when everyone's working towards their creative goals! I'm hoping at the very least I can finish drawing Arc 5 by the end of this month, although I'll also be working on Arc 6 if possible. I just need to be careful because with these two arcs combined, that's 215 panels to draw. The last time I really pushed myself making comics was Snowball Effect, which left me burnt out after a couple weeks and I couldn't touch the comics for a month or so. That arc was about 195 panels. That being said, in figuring out number of panels to draw per week, plus how to translate number of panels to number of words (1 panel=232 words, roughly), I accounted for both arcs. But those calculations are mostly just so I can still input something on the NaNo official site- I don't need to hit that 50,000 "word" goal of finishing both arcs by November's end. Ahh there's a lot to get done before this year's end, but I have faith that I can make some good progress this month! I should probably also figure out titles for these arcs at some point

Getting into things, and I haven't finished any panels yet, but I did decide to scratch out some new character designs. Arc 5 will include a lot more background characters than usual, so it's good to have some already prepped so I'm not having to make them up on the fly x3 I have three so far, two based on pets from my sides, the other the pet of a reader who connected with me on Neo. She neomailed, we got to chatting for a few months, and then I thought it'd be cool to include one of her own pets in the comics. (And on that note, if anyone else would like me to make a background character out of one of their pets, feel free to say! For the scenario, they'd have to be a magic user and cool with Faeries to the point of potentially working with them in the castle.) They're obviously not gonna be this uber detailed and shaded in the actual comics, but I wanted to give them at least one good picture for reference.

Near the second half of the month I kinda fell out of working regularly on comics, probably in part due to just falling out of the daily habit and getting distracted with schoolwork before the holiday break. Then that week's break had its own busy-ness with holiday decorating, shopping, family stuff, and birthday celebrations x3 By the end of the month, I think I hit about 20% of my overall goal, with three comics sketched out and dialogue added so far. That's about half of Arc 5, so it at least gave me a good start. I'm hoping I can finish up Arc 5 by the end of the year!
