Someone pointed out on the boards that the NC Negg has a chance to summon Kaia if you have a fortune cookie going.
So if you're doing faerie quests, you may want to deposit the negg if you're not going to use it.

Also note Day 1 is a "day and a half", so in other words if you haven't done it yet you still have time as Day 2 starts on the 10th! As always I'm aiming for the books which there are two of this year ("Odd Negg Out" from the Hand Painted Negg and "How to Prevent Your Neggs from Getting Stolen" from the Speckled). However if none of those are options wouldn't mind picking the Watercoloured Negg to get one of those "Pretty Negg Shield" as the stats aren't looking that bad on it! If you're focus is on the wearbles I'd say the "Negg Tea Set" (Hand Painted Negg), "Spring Fields" (Paint-Splattered Negg), and "Negg Stand Foreground" (Watercoloured Negg) are looking quite nice. There's also the "Negg Hat" from Squeegee Painted Negg but it looks kind of silly. Only other standouts I see is the Spring Magaral from the Speckled (is this the first time a Petpet was available?). Rest is Food, Grooming, or Toy (except for the Rotten Negg Soup which is apparently a weapon... a not very good weapon, luckily not in one of the Neggs I'm focusing on though those looking for a free Spring Fields may end up with some). Only other thing I got to say is what is with the Fancy Negg Plushie? It looks like it's having a war flashback. Also why does it have bird feet?  (So many Neggs were smashed that day...) |

We've had Spring-colored Babaas, Faelies, and Unioctos previous years, so not the first petpet. Still adorable, though.

I haven't been keeping much track of which neggs I have or haven't picked yet, but I'm also a fan of their designs this year! So far I've also had good luck with the prizes, got two wearables :3 The Spring Fields background is kinda interesting though, since it has a dark vignette border around the sky part. Reminds me of The Wizard of Oz over happy spring fields, or at least like the sky is a matte painting. Could lead to some more diverse customizations.

I also thought that their Neggs look particularly nice and pastel-paint-y this year, and the prizes are gorgeous. Their wearables also seem to keep getting more detailed and polished overall, to the point where they're starting to look a bit weird on the still-cartoony pets. So this seems to be art evolution in full effect.
*is just trying to snag all the wearables and books*
...only whyyy do they keep using Topsi? We have Kari, her grossly underused assistant girl whatsername, and the singularly awesome Rosie, and yet they keep hosting the festival with He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named @n@ At least give him a makeover that doesn't make him look like he got fired from one of those edutainment programs that kids never actually watch.
