Wait, what is that title? Am I sure this isn't a belated April Fools joke? Yes. I'm sure, because really, if you're late with an April Fools joke, you're not doing it right, and I'm not in the business of doing things wrongly. Well, uh, most of the time. Anyways, it's that time of year, folks, it's spring! Birds are chirping, flowers are blooming. On days like these, kids like you... ... should be participating in art exchanges. So that's what this is. This is a secret-santa-style art exchange where every participant has to draw one piece of artwork from another randomly-chosen participant! The twist is, of course, is that whatever character you draw, they have to be wearing a magical girl uniform! Now, even though the title says "magical girl," this event is of course not limited to female characters! Magical boys and magical enbys are perfectly fine; "magical girl" is just a catch-all term for the anime genre we are referencing! Sailor Moon, Princess Tutu, Revolutionary Girl Utena (shut up I'm including it), Madoka Magicka, etc etc etc. Then, when you're done with your piece... just tell me, but please don't post your piece until the... show-off date passes! If you want to join, just fill out this handy dandy form! You can either PM me this if you want only your secret santa to see this, or you can simply post it on the thread! Possible sacrifices characters you would like drawn (up to 3): I dunno, like, my OC CEO-astronaut Luke Nightsitter? References or descriptions: He looks like Han Solo but handsomer A summary of the character (if you so wish): He became a CEO at age 14 of Macrosoft, then he used all the money to bribe his way into NASA. He likes short walks on death stars, because they crumble at the mere sight of him. (In my AU universe, death stars are made of the dead souls of stars and they are conscious.) Things you want and don't want on their magical girl costume: I want stars but NO LEAVES. He is spaceman-CEO, not a tree-hugger, do you think he cares about the environment? Of course not. Extra notes: HE IS NOT A MARY SUE STOP SAYING HE IS Are you willing to be a backup artist?: yes because in addition to making riveting characters like Luke Nightsitter i am also a great artist Uh, here are some extra rules: 1. Adhere to proboards + forum rules of conduct. 2. At minimum, gifted art-pieces should be colored and shaded with one character. 3. You may introduce nonhuman characters (obviously) as long as they are humanoid... or as long as you're okay with the artist shrugging their shoulders and drawing them human if they don't feel comfortable with the quad form, or whatever. 4. Try not to post your art too publicly until the show-off date. 5. If you have questions, please ask me. Thanks. DEADLINE FOR SIGN-UPS: Probably April 11th at 11:59pm EST (or April 12th 3:59am GMT for you euros) ASSIGNMENT DATE: Sometime on April 12th.(tentative) SHOW-OFF DATE: You can publicly post your art gift on or anytime after April 24th(tentative) FINAL DEADLINE: April 30th on 11:59pm EST ( May 1st 3:59am GMT) (one thing i'm unsure about is if i need to push the final deadline a week or two ahead. please giff opinions. thanks.) The most ~*Magical*~ participants, who each come with a unique mascot! The one with the honey badger ( Ginz ❤) The one with the coffee-making alligator ( Zoey) The one with a toothless dragon ( Twillie) The one with a beluga ( Moni) The one with a frightening amount of birds ( Celestial) The one with a ... time-traveling rabbit? ( Rabbit ♠) The one with a cute lil anubis ( Huntress) The one with a a sophisticated rat ( June Scarlet) The one with an actual, useful steed ( Lizica) The one with a lazy lap cat ( Liou)

omg me please, this sounds super fun!! XD Possible sacrifices characters you would like drawn (up to 3): My OC Dahlia from D&D, My OC Itzel Romero from Wrighton, or Connie from Steven Universe References or descriptions: Dahlia: ntwriters.proboards.com/post/2715754 Itzel: ntwriters.proboards.com/post/2698054Connie: If you make a google search for Connie Steven Universe and you'll get more references than you'll know what to do with! A summary of the character (if you so wish): Dahlia is my Halfling Cleric, so she's a healer. She's a novice adventurer, but used to work as a librarian, so she's really smart and loves books. She's sweet and friendly, but a bit naive and inexperienced. Itzel is enthusiastic, passionate, and hardworking. She has wanderlust and dreams of traveling the world learning about all sorts of different cultures and living many adventures! Connie is super smart and determined. She's a very loyal friend and would do anything for those she loves. She's really brave and fights hard for what she believes in! If you have any questions or want any more info about these characters, please ask Moni to forward a message to me Things you want and don't want on their magical girl costume: Dahlia: Please incorporate her flower in the design somewhere, or keep it on her hair, you choice! Itzel: Stars, maybe? Connie: Whatever you want, but it'd be cool if she had her sword as a bonus if you want to include it. Extra notes: Thank you so much, I hope you have fun drawing this! <3 Are you willing to be a backup artist?: Yes! I'm kind of a slow artist, but I can do my best ^^

(hits "register" button so fast) Possible sacrifices you would like drawn: Options in no particular order: -Moni's D&D character Khamet -Appa the sky bison from Avatar -Any of the Avengers (can genderbend to make a super awesome outfit or keep gender and make a totally hilarious one) References or descriptions: Going to give creator all artistic freedom. Basically go for either hilarious, amazing, or both! Example of the "both" category: if Captain America had a traditional magical girl outfit but he's -totally taking it seriously because FREEDOM DOESN'T STOP FOR HEART BOWS-. A summary of the character (if you so wish): Khamet: "khamet is a good paladin boye pacifist who serves the god of war! You will be good, or he will probably insult you!" Ref: Appa the sky bison: He is a sky bison and he is big. Ref: And the Avengers are probably everywhere on everyone's feed now so I'll spare the refs on that. Things you want and don't want on their magical girl costume: I... actually don't know what to put in this category either. XD I guess everything's on board as long as it abides by NTWF rules? Are you willing to be a backup artist?: Sure thing, as long as you can put up with a wacky motivation schedule!

Oooohhh, yes please, I am ready to draw some sparkly magical girls! Characters I'd like to have drawn: I volunteer Twillie Blossom, Jonathon Water, and Liz Bishop as tribute! References or descriptions: Twillie Blossom- one, two, threeJonathon Water- one, twoLiz Bishop- one, two, threeSummary of the characters:
Twillie and Jonathon are both from my Neopets comic, Blossoms. -Twillie is a human, an overly emotional eccentric who's easy to lose her grip, but she at least has a big heart. Very long straight brown hair, has a full figure, pale and freckly. -Jonathon is also a human, very very shy and with a knack for magic. Likes to use his Wand of Ultranova, can also cast fire spells. A tall guy at 6'6" or 1.98m, lanky, black styled hair, dark clothing, eyeliner. Liz is from the NTWF roleplay, Wrighton: Strange Memory, as a PC character. Young adult, goth, multiple piercings, passionate about fashion, very frank with a dry sense of humor, has some pet rabbits as well as a mirror demon. Things I want or don't want: No preferences really, I'm happy to see whatever you end up making :3 Willing to be a backup artist? Yup!

Ooh, yes, I would be utterly down for this. =D Sign me up! Possible sacrifices characters you would like drawn (up to 3)- Tabitha Kingsley, my PC from Hero City. Art references here, here and here.
- Meallan Lynxheart, my EuroAtlantis DnD character. Art references here and here
- Fionn Colby, my Wrighton PC. Art can be found here and here
A summary of the character (if you so wish):
- Tabitha is a tech superhero whose primary weapon is her umbrella. She is exceptionally polite and stereotypically British as well as showy at times. She can also be quite mumsy. Her day job is an opera singer, if that means anything.
- Meallan is a firbolg warlock whose patron is a fey named Malka. He has...questionable morals. By which I mean he has psychopathic tendencies and is quite chill about killing through magic. However, he also adores nature and would never hurt animals. He has a sable familiar called Aytal who looks like this if you want to include him.
- Fionn is a happy-go-lucky selkie who loves nothing more than being lazy, eating junk food and playing the sax. He is very laid-back, friendly, extroverted and hedonistic.
Things you want and don't want on their magical girl costume:
- Tabitha is a musician and opera singer, so if you want to incorporate that into her costume, go ahead.
- Meallan loves nature. His patron's main colours are pink and gold. He is also very tall (7 foot 7 inches) and lanky so if you want to do something with that, go ahead.
- Fionn...I guess seal patterns would be cool.
These are only suggestions and I would be delighted to see what you can come up with, as long as it feels like it would be fitting for the character. Or hilarious. Or both. Are you willing to be a backup artist?: Yeah, sure, just give me some notice so I am not caught up flailing.

I am on board with this idea 110%. Characters to be magifiedAnther: Ref can be found hereVirga: Ref can be found hereJust my D&D characters, since I think they'd be interesting as magical girls. Quick description of the charactersAnther: Rude, aggressive, and a tad violent at times. Kind of the opposite of the usual magical girl. |D She does like to fight, though. As for what she fights, that depends on the day. In general, she's kind of lanky and not real curvy. Virga: Real sweet. Loves plants, animals, people, and most things, really. Her hair is real poofy. (If you guys need more of a description, do let me know. I'm never good at describing these things.) Things I want / don't want in their magical girl costumeIn general, just go nuts. Up to you, really. Wanna see what you guys come up with. Willing to be a backup artist?I'm up for it as long as I have a bit of warning.

Okay, but do you know the big glaring problem with this event? Scrolling down other people's prompt-lists is getting my inspiration rolling something fierce but since I'll only get to draw one character from one post, it is sorely tempting to do magical sparkly dressy sketches of characters who don't get drawn otherwise, and this can only end in tears. ALRIGHT, since I have no common sense of restraint, sign me up =D Possible sacrifices characters you would like drawn (up to 3): my character pool is actually egregiously tiny, so it'll be the usual suspects. 1. Ene Allikhing (my character from the Town roleplay, saucy minx and dead witch extraordinaire) 2. Kathleen Morrigan (my character from the Wrighton roleplay, Doctor-companion-lite) 3. Shad (dat shadow Lupe I've been drawing NT comics of for far too many years now). References or descriptions: 1. Ene - one, two, and once with actual effort involved. 2. Kathleen - one, two, and one with feeling. There's also an image that has both Ene and Kathleen, which I drew specifically as a comparison of body types. One is a curvy hourglass, the other a string bean. 3. Shad - here's one where I could be bothered with full body shots. A summary of the character (if you so wish):1. Ene - her character always teetered juuust on this side of PG13 so the bulk of how I created her didn't make it to the roleplay or related materials anyway. Equal parts cheerfully amiable and coldly murderous. Casually flirty in ways that serve her purposes, perpetually looks like she's contemplating making a move on you (which may very well be the case). Knows her way around poisons. Technically dead but still deadly. 2. Kathleen - tall and skinny, readheaded, probably-Irishish. Wants adventure in the great wide somewhere. Has a fiery temper kept in check by lots of coffee and the aforesaid adventures in the great wide somewhere. Dresses like the Tenth Doctor but actually prefers frilly pastel clothes when she gets free time, which she doesn't. 3. Shad - started out as a happy airheaded punk kid and then I wrote him for ~15 years so he's grown kind of layered and I'm not actually sure what his personality is any more. He's a straightforward problem-solver with nerves of steel when he puts his mind to it. But for the most part he's still a goofy idiot because I wouldn't be able to fit him into comics otherwise xD Things you want and don't want on their magical girl costume:1. Ene manages to be borderline obscene even in a long plain dress, but I still can't help but feel that she'd opt for the ridiculously short skirts. And possibly fire-related powers because typecasting doesn't matter if you get to scorch the earth while saving it. 2. not an obligation by any means, but the Love Nikki game I obsessively play is currently running an event with a suit that immediately popped to mind when I tried to imagine Kathleen as a magical girl. It's this one. (FRILLS 4 DAYS) 3. Genuinely drawing a blank xD Whatever you think makes the best magical!girl!Shad in existence. Are you willing to be a backup artist?: gonna say no for the time being, because I'm trying to do this thing where I actually manage my time instead of accepting everything and then madly flailing through a workload :'D But you can always poke me if it actually comes up, my schedule wobbles on a daily basis. (Also, I should point out for the benefit of all Wrighton-players that turning into magical girls is something that actually could very easily happen in-universe. All it'd take is the RETON plopping down in some world where a magical power-giving cat can sneak aboard, which it will because Scip has been covertly growing catnip for centuries and you know it, and then everyone will get a case of sparkly skirts before you can even sneeze.)

2. At minimum, gifted art-pieces should be colored and shaded with one character. Are you sure they have to be shaded? I'm really interested in this event, but I don't really shade my pieces usually, it doesn't really fit my art style, and if shading's a requirement, I'm might just have to skip out.

I'm really interested in this event, but I don't really shade my pieces usually, it doesn't really fit my art style, and if shading's a requirement, I'm might just have to skip out. Yeah, I can see that, and honestly, I'm pretty flexible. you can replace the "shading" bit with like, a simple environment for the character to interact with, or simply just drawing an additional character. up to you--the rule is really in place so we don't get like... really rough sketches to THE MONA LISA, if you catch my drift. edit: but since i'm posting in this thread, other clarifications because i've gotten questions: you don't have to draw only one or all three of the given characters--you only have to draw *at least* one, but more can be added if you feel so inspired. giftart that's unrelated to your assignment is perfectly fine, but you know, don't feel compelled to give it, you already have something on your plate.

the rule is really in place so we don't get like... really rough sketches to THE MONA LISA, if you catch my drift. Basically the two categories my art falls in, although scale Mona Lisa down to "something that took way more hours than intended and way more rendering as well". So... either half-finished head or full-blown concept environment art. NO IN BETWEEN. XD Although I'm probably going to end up doing just one character for whoever I'm assigned to (BUT WHO KNOWS, I COULD DECIDE TO SKIP SLEEP AND DO ALL), I fancy the idea of taking an interesting character suggestion and doing both a funny and a serious/amazing version of it. XD

Possible sacrifices characters you would like drawn: Ronjono "Ink" D'Angela Mathew Cavus Beatrice Bizelli References or descriptions: Ron: www.neopets.com/~Mathew_Cavus#refMatt: www.neopets.com/~dorothy_scarlet#119Beatrice: ntwriters.proboards.com/post/2685004/threadA summary of the character (if you so wish): Ronjono is a Defender of Neopia, and she stars in my Ink comics Mathew is a wannabe villain who also appears in Ink Beatrice is a journalist from Wrighton Things you want and don't want on their magical girl costume: I'd really prefer Ron and Matt to remain Neopets, so if you prefer to draw humans, I have Beatrice there for you. Are you willing to be a backup artist?: No, it seems like plenty of other people are signing up for that, and I'm plenty busy as it is.

This idea is way too much fun, and I love this entire thread so so much. XD Possible sacrifices characters you would like drawn (up to 3): Possibly Tracy Chaetura (from NTWF Mafia 2), Joan Wrigley (from NTWF’s The Town), or Jeremy Jeter (from my Hero City RP spinoff fic)? References or descriptions:Tracy - one, two, threeJoan - one, twoJeremy - one, two (sorry, it’s the only color ref I have x'D) A summary of the character (if you so wish):- Tracy is a conspiracy theorist who's convinced aliens are to blame for most of the Bad Stuff that happens in the story. But not to worry, tin foil hats will protect everyone and save the day! Paranoid and not always super bright, but maybe makes up for it in her enthusiasm to help out, her determined optimism, and her tin foil dexterity. - Joan is an overly chatty travel agent in a dystopian walled-in town. Will invade your universe to track you down and give you coupons and travel recommendations. May or may not kill you if she’s having a bad day and you talk smack about her friends. Also, please don’t destroy her favorite landmarks, kthx. - Jeremy is a work-from-home tailor and craftsman who has powers of fabric manipulation (color-changing, levitating, and threading small pieces). Generally chill, has adequate snark. Lowkey terrified of exposure, so might strongly dislike that possible aspect of magical girl-ness, but might roll with the rest of it in this case because it is kind of objectively hilarious and he can make fun of his business partner? Things you want and don't want on their magical girl costume:- It would be awesome if lots of tin foil could somehow be incorporated in Tracy's outfit. xD But at least on her head, please. She also has a handy dandy wireless radio if that helps anything. Make Dove-san proud.- No fire motifs for Joan, please. X3 Maybe give her a Brochure Cannon instead, I dunno. Whatever you want to do! ^^- Beats me, Jeremy knows fabric and textiles, go crazy~ Are you willing to be a backup artist? Possibly, if I know far enough ahead of time?

*slides in on knees* 8D ! This might not seem like the Best Idea but it is proven that deadlines and expectations make my art actually happen. Possible sacrifices characters you would like drawn (up to 3):- Talsindra (she/her) - NTWF DND PC
- Zenith (they/them) - Hero City PC
- Queen Fyora - you might have heard of her
References or descriptions:- Tally ref here
- Zenith ref here (aaah old rush-art I sorry)
A summary of the character (if you so wish):- 4'8 of muscular fluffy butch elf: Tally is a drow monk and the party's resident cinnamon roll and team mum, apparently. Trained martial artist, loves performing with martial arts incorporated into theatrical dance, loves costumes, colourful makeup and hair dye. Usually fights with a quarterstaff.
- Zenith is: a popular superhero, a ~6'4 athlete with a build similar to a swimmer's, can fly, blushes and stammers when talking to girls, loves their family, is self-conscious around people due to their strength, has anxiety, trains diligently to protect the civilians, loves cute and frilly dresses and shoes, but doesn't feel pretty enough to wear such things. Prove them wrong!!
- Okay, Fy is already a magical girl. But she doesn't dress like a magical girl! She dresses like a magical girl's mum! Or like a magical girl's future self asking her younger self for help after she's become the ruler of the future moon civilisation! For a long time I've wanted to see what Fyora would have looked like, pre-coronation, as that younger, active magical girl.
Things you want and don't want on their magical girl costume:- For inspiration and themes, Tally is a monk of the Way of Four Elements! She has a thing for dragonflies. Innate drow magic lets her cast various sparkles. She can have... all the sparkle. She can have more freckles than what I put in her reference pic. High heels are not recommended. She's from a homebrew world, so nothing to do with spiders, or with any canon DND deities.
- Zenith loves bunnies a lot. Their hair is nice and glossy, usually serves as a curtain of shyness, but they secretly crave fancier hairstyles.
Are you willing to be a backup artist?Mmmno, let's play it safe.

Hi all, I will use my magical abilities (a random number generator) to determine who will be assigned to what number. Zoey Zoey will use her biostat powers to randomly assign these numbers into pairs. That way, it will be a secret art exchange.
