Sometimes a song with an unoriginal title and lyrics turns out to be quite interesting, musically: Would you like to feel like the Chosen One foretold by ancient prophecies of fantasy while you work out? Try

Thanks for sharing, Liou! I especially loved the second piece- the first one had those sort of mouth-poppy noises I'm not a big fan of, but it was really sweet otherwise and I love the shiny hearts in the video. <3 Rob Thomas sings about enjoying the little moments in life (song is from 2007, but I've been listening to it a lot lately!) This is the original version of the video, which has some nods to Meet The Robinsons (the film the song appeared in), but does not use any footage from the actual film and is spoiler-free. I listen to Florence and the Machine all the time away, but have been doing some work on the fey/feywilds for D&D recently and certain songs give much stronger fey vibes than others (useful as background when working on Stuff.) Cosmic Love is great for this (it has some beautiful, evocative imagery which fits right in- permanent twilight? Literal stars in people's eyes?), and in the video Florence Welch is at her most feylike as she spins around under multicolored lights and autumnal leaves in a variety of verycool outfits, A++ I used to be really sensitive to heartbeat-like sounds, so I'll point out there are some in this song for peeps who may not be cool with that!

I'm sharing another musical piece composed by Yuki Kajiura from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle with lyrics that are, again, a mashup of different languages. This one is entitled I talk to the rain and if it sounds similar to the one I linked a while back, a song of storm and fire, well, it does, and they ARE both made by the same composer for the same anime. This one's a sad load of feels though, so hang on tight. One of my favorite songs from the Hamilton soundtrack is Ten Duel Commandments. It's a rap, it absolutely slaps, and it's about duels. Clearly a good combination. You don't really need to know Hamilton to appreciate this song. NUMBER ONE: The challenge: demand satisfaction. If they apologize, no need for further action. NUMBER TWO: If they don't, grab a friend, that's your second. Your lieutenant, when there's reckoning to be reckoned. Etc. And here's one from my favorite international band, Coldplay. This is Life in Technicolor ii. It's...I don't know how to explain it, I really love it, it gives me good vibes. The music vid in the spoiler tags has puppets (the band is depicted as puppets that have come to life and perform in a children's puppet show) and explosions, so if you'd rather have none of that, you can click here for the live version.

Kat Coldplay is one of your favorites too?? I love them so much, ahhh xD I can also vouch for Life in Technicolor ii! It's a really upbeat, hopeful song with an almost mythical sound to it, especially if you listen to its instrumental (plus I think its music video is very cute x3). And what's neat about it is, if you like it, there's multiple official versions. There's the instrumental like I mentioned (for whatever reason iTunes doesn't have the version with lyrics!), and this song bookends the Viva la Vida album, so it comes in during Death and All His Friends. That version is much slower and mellow, but still very hypnotizing. There were a couple songs I wanted to recommend as well! First one I just discovered like half an hour ago, but I've already listened to it multiple times and want to share x3 About a month ago, Ariana Grande was part of a virtual concert that I just now found out about, and what caught my eye was the song she sang. She performed "Still Hurting," the opening song to the musical The Last Five Years, and being a fan of its music I was immediately like !!! It's a really beautiful song, albeit somber, and I think Ariana's vocals fit great with it. She doesn't do the stereotypical pop thing where she slides all over the place and holds any note for too long; as one review I watched put it, she does it in her own style but in a sort of "formal" manner. I recommend it if you're a fan of the show or are just looking for some feels: The other song I've kinda waffled on sharing, just because it can seem a bit... odd. I promise, it is a completely innocent and fun song! It's called. Waifu. It's a happy hardcore song by S3RL, a DJ who makes music based around pop culture and anime. Some of his songs are a bit out there in terms of content, so if you're familiar with him, rest assured this is not one of those songs despite the title xD I also really love the music video for it, which is a combination of multiple animation styles and live action. It's beautiful to watch and very well made. The story isn't 100% clear, but it's simple enough and I actually really like the ambiguity to it. It's hard to explain, but to me it's one of those videos where you don't understand all its details, but you still understand the feeling behind it. There is some cartoon blood and zombie-like monsters in the video, so a warning for brief moments of mild body horror.

And this album is hands down my most favorite Coldplay album because it was what got me loving the band in the first place. Okay, clearly I should share VIVA LA VIDA because years later I still love it.

VIVA LA VIDA!! IS ALSO!! MY FAVORITE SONG!!!
I don’t know if I have a favorite album, it’s hard to choose xD I think Mylo Xyloto is the one that most consistently has songs I like (all of them save for one, Major Minus), but those songs aren’t all necessarily my favorites. I think XY, Viva la Vida, Mylo Xyloto, and a bit of Ghost Stories are the ones I listen to most!

I'd recommend this group in general, but this is my favorite from them! The intro especially is almost hypnotizing:
(it's in French, and from the translations I've seen it appears to be NTWF appropriate x3)

I haven't listened to Ayreon in over three years, thus I tracked down my copy of The Final Experiment so I can listen tomorrow! Sail Away to Avalon is my brother's absolute fave on the album...and for good reason! This song is a Classic Story about searching for the holy grail (related to King Arthur by the minstrel protagonist, as we learn from the context of the surrounding songs), with honestly one of my favourite Cheesy Emotional Tropes right at the end. That being: "You'll find the grail within you, slay the dragon in your dreams." And while I'm at it with the Medieval Bardic Vibes, here's something I discovered today...a cover of Bad Romance by Lady Gaga. Hildegard von Blingin' made my day. ... thee and me could write a bad romance...(seriously so fun, if you only listen to one of these three, please make it this one.) The artist has a couple of other covers up right now, and I look forward to more! Suspecting there'll be a version of Never Gonna Give You Up any day now...but for now, here's What Is Love? (there's even a 'nonny nonny' or several in there. So! Good!)

One of my favourite bands (Chvrches) did a special at-home lockdown performance of two songs ('Death Stranding' and 'Forever'), and...these are just the loveliest versions. ;-; I wanted to share!

It's Kpop time The ladies, let me show you them (music videos likely to contain flashy lights and stuff, opening in other tab recommended for not seeing that) Sunmi - PporappippamHey it's Sunmi with a light fun summer night song, filling the EXID-shaped hole in my life Iz*one - Secret Story of the SwanI'm still salty about the composition of this group but for the first time they've got a song that's really easy on my ears?? There's a neat show in which ladies aren't pitted against each other but have to team up against external contestants for a more positive vibe, whaaat (Videos are live stages, more lights, some audience noises) Youngji's on fire(this kid is too good it's not fair) Don't Cry for Me(pop diva teams up with sweet rapper for heartfelt ballad) Witch(all-star team getting edgy, cw for fake prison uniforms and guards, feeble fake struggling and restraining) ColorsFriendly harmony~

It is 2020 and Liou is FINALLY listening to Soprano, here's En Feu for starters
GFriend released a whole new album too! so here's some HEARTENING ANIME OPENING STYLE goodness - yes Anime Opening is really the best way to describe GFriend's music okay (I was a bit apprehensive listening to this, some people were mad because the group had a darker and edgier video for the main track instead of doing the schoolgirl concept 5eva? well those people were wrong, enjoy~)
Eye of the Storm Tarot Cards
So this song did not win its round in the final of Good Girl (the winning song is good but too steamy for here) but I think this one has more re-listen potential than the winner, honestly, which had more stage performance to help. Can't get enough of this soft lil' song: Jang Yeeun - Mermaid
Hi have I mentioned that I love when my favourite ladies get together and collab? This is so groovy!
Hyoyeon & Lee Young-ji - I Do What I Want
And here's what you can play to people at the end of a meal:
(the sound is a bit too weird and electronic-y for me but you know I can't resist when my favourite ladies collab)
(Soyeon the main rapper of her group getting featured as a vocalist and getting a whole part of the chorus like a boss < 3)

Do you think you have healthy sleeping habits? Well guess again because we've all been sleeping on Weki Meki all this time. Their dances are fire, check this out La La La (dance practice)I think they peaked with La La La, the dance makes the song more memorable than it really is and I especially love the pre-final chorus bridge bit, but all their stuff is good. Another of my favourites is Dazzle Dazzle even though fans say it was a disappointing follow-up, uh I disagree, I think it's better than Crush and Picky Picky, loving that second chorus bit. Dazzle Dazzle (dance practice)Earlier I posted real-life magical girls GFriend the masters of HEARTENING ANIME OPENING SONGS, well here's their dances too because they are just so fluid and so fitting for the music. Labyrinth (dance practice) - or Labyrinth (audio) if you prefer I guess Crossroads (dance practice) - Crossroads (audio)Out of these two I actually prefer Crossroads, as it's less elaborate I find it more expressive and impactful, but I still love Labyrinth and the energy and resources put into this (pretty rare for girl groups!), really proud of GFriend. (yes I am casually using this thread as Choreography Sharing Thread because it's CLOSE ENOUGH) I've just been through Twice's entire discography and will keep promoting girl groups at y'all, xoxo
