Otherwise they have a very distinctive look, both of them. ^^ Though the idea of DUDE BRO, an alien, being somehow related to Corinne is quite hilarious.

Does Jay have a character named DUDE BRO because that doesn't surprise me. Glad he's continuing on the proud Jay Character legacy.
Speaking of Corrine I forgot her "I'm Fate!" bit. I can't believe I did, it's so good. Let Corrine be a princess! I mean, she wouldn't be out of place with the other princesses at the Keep, they're all uhh... unique!

XD He does yes, I hosted a forum game last year called Hero City and his superhero character was called DUDE BRO. Then BROVERINE. Then CAPTAIN BROMERICA. Then BROPOOL. DUDE BRO got bored of his gimmick a lot. Also lolz, proposing an AU where Corrine marries Destiney and they co-rule as joint Queens. Y/N?

Also, fun fact just for the heck of it: Kelcey Kidde was in love. He felt it with every muscle in his body, each beat of his heart. Each breath he took was laced with passion, each step he took marked by amour. He awoke in the morning with his beloved’s name dripping from his lips, and went to bed at night with it swirling through his brain. Destiney.Aines of Ascension was in need of a drink. He felt it in every single one of his feathers; the more stressed he was, the more he picked at his plumage, and some of them were already beginning to come loose. And while a good deal of it came from fretting over the late king's death, his immediate stress all came from her; every move she made completely threw him for a loop, challenging him to hammer into her head yet another reason that she ought to actually start thinking about politics (or thinking at all, he thought, but not out loud since that probably constituted treason of some sort). Destiney. Those first two posts, directly underneath the opening crawl? Completely unplanned apropos of each other. Avery posted the first one after I posted our opening crawl and I thought to myself "oh dang what if I write my opening so that the first two posts have an ironic parallelism to them, that'd be neat" so that's kind of what ended up happening. We kind of ended up doing a lot of things with ironic parallelism in them, upon reflection. I can tell you that only parts of that were deliberately orchestrated. I also had to end my post with a musical reference as well, because consistency. (In hindsight, we kind of frontloaded all of the Broadway references from the getgo, which I suppose ended up accounting for all the original verse that folks ended up writing? Go figure)

Started rereading today, some thoughts. ...That apparently others had as well XD Prepare for a lot of "huh I missed/had forgotten about that!"s - I don't think I'd noticed Avery and icon's post parallels the first time around, but I noticed them this time and I love them <3 - I had also forgotten about Corrine's "secretly Fate" theory!! I'm super excited to reread Corrine-posts and rediscover it =D ( Ginz ❤) - Morgaine and Rosalie's scheming is the most adorable scheming XD ( Shinko and Rosalie Dylas (Maddy)) - Ruth! Bjornflinger! If you aren't looking forward to her posts yet, do so, Ruth is wonderful ^^ (dunno if zylaa still vists but Zylaa) - Ahaha all these old settings and characters makes me want to work on Roleswap fic again! XD I forgot how many places and...background dynamics? I guess is the term? Hard to specify without spoilers - show up in this RP but haven't been visted in the expanded universe (at least not yet); it's neat to see them all again!

And all caught up. A few more comments: - The busts are the best and I cannot wait to reread all their jokes =D Lizica - Holy crap I'd forgotten Garrick being the goat-king, how did I forget that?? Liou and Jayeee Rosalie is amazing and I love her Rosalie Dylas (Maddy) - I'd also forgotten how creepy Frederick was, dang pixie XD (in a good way, you wrote him well!) - omg I get to reread Joffery's songs, too!! 8D PFA - Reading the dialogue is interesting; for some characters it got at least a little more casual overtime. I know that includes me, because I keep having to wrestle with too-casual speech in my fics and feel like I didn't have that problem before - but this is turning out to be a nice little refresher course! ...Sooo since the thread's been pretty dead since I last posted, I'm gonna go ahead and blather about my character a little bit C= Belated logic flub - Leif definitely knows a repairing spell and should have been able to repair Ayleth's cage on his own. Convoluting situations to get Leif to go interact with strangers since 2014! Also I wish I remembered the specific reasoning behind choosing the species I did for Ayleth - Black-shouldered kites can be used for falconry, I've seen videos (warning if you go look any up, turn down your volume, they are really screechy) but they're not exactly a common choice. It winds up being a weird coincidence way later in the game/in the extended universe, but none of that existed at the time even as an idea, so...? I know I wanted something not super-stereotypical like a red-tailed hawk or a harris hawk or goshawk or a kestrel, but I don't know that I needed to go quite as far as I did XD Sorry to disappoint if anyone was wondering why the heck I picked such a weird birb species!

LOL, it's always fun trying to cobble up excuses for Leif to go out in public. Birdnerd y u so anti-social? (We know why but the newbies don't. ;D) Also Ayleth is pretty and that's the only excuse you need < 3

Ah man, Joff's songs. I forgot how much fun they were to write, haha. (I actually went back and made a proper song of his intro post song once upon a time, I guess I can link that while I'm here amysgames.sytes.net/misc/music/Joffery/The%20Ace%20of%20Hearts.mp3 ) (apologies for my voice is not as beautiful as Joff's is lol) And the early dialogue is definitely interesting to reread. I know I for one was trying for a more formal tone in my early posts that I gave up on over time. XD (See again: the Shakespearean English Joff uses in his intro post. What a wacky time that was, lol)

Given we're moving on to round two on Wednesday, I'm looking forward to what our nonveterans first impressions are of the game. X3 Things are certainly eventful and maybe a bit all over the place in round one, but you definitely can't call them dull.

I am also very keen to hear what people have to say. Round One is not the best representation of the RP as it would become and grow, but it does set things up nicely and it serves as a good easing-in to things. More commentary from me. \o/ There are discussions of various character details in Round 1, so read at your own risk. Also me grinning at various bits of foreshadowing and things that are hilarious in hindsight. (I also need to finish re-reading Round 1 as I have fallen behind. Whoops) In general, this whole round seemed to revolve around Tony and the car crash. Unsurprising, considering the crash was kind of a big deal, given it was heard all over and nobody really had seen one like it before (sans Ambrose. He seemed to know what was up, unsurprisingly. *pats his head*) Pixie, I forgot how great Fred and Ilaria were. I remember you struggling with Fred while writing him, but it does not show at all. And Ilaria is simply a treasure. <3 Rosalie Dylas (Maddy) I can never say enough how much I love Rosalie. <3 She is the most adorable shrewd businesswoman that we have in the entire RP. iconI see we were starting with the musical references right out of the gate. xD This is unsurprising, and yes, newcomers, it does persist. It's one of the few things that stuck once Cerebus Syndrome hit, in no small part due to the quests we had to complete. Elcie*laugh track* Avery, so I have a question: was Kelcey always supposed to be a serial...faller-in-love, or was that something you just decided to do on a whim to make things more interesting? xD The references to the world not being flat in Garrick and Lucinda's posts makes my inner historian cry, because people in the Middle Ages knew the world was not flat. But then again, we have no clue about Avani, even to this day with the expanded universe, so *pats inner historian* shh... (Also, I am 100% sure that ribbon is not made from any intestines. 8D; I do address Garrick's random bloodthirst later, but this is all reminding me how much of a square peg he is. I love him anyway.) LizicaDon't worry, S&W, it will. x3 Also, it just makes me happy seeing all the relationships that would become important in the game begin to form. <3

I'm not really the type of person who speculates on characters too much (which is probably why I'm not the most fun to talk to in RPs); I tend to take what's in the text as what's in the text, so my reaction is more like
(basic character information)
me: okay cool, let's see what they do next.
And I don't really know how many iterations of "okay cool, let's see what they do next" I can throw out, and without a lot of story/character momentum I can only really make jokes/point out things that made me laugh. I find it honestly a little daunting to comment on specific characters too, at least in public; authors tend to be more attached to their RP characters than in a "normal" story because they're... well, player characters. Especially since my style of commentary tends to be in the style of "point out weird things and whatever I don't mention is probably fine," I'm reading, but I don't really plan on sharing a lot of impressions.

Moni - Believe me, I really closely relate with that sentiment. xD Sometimes I just don't have anything to say and feel stressed feeling urged to say something when I have nothing, even if I'm having good impressions of the story. Even so, I know writers really do look forward to feedback to feel their work is appreciated, and silence isn't always a great communicator. It's difficult to balance for those reasons and the reasons you mentioned, I definitely agree. A possible way to take steps towards contributing something without going into major detail would maybe be to share general sentiments? Like "I really liked this part" or sentiments of enjoying the story or character arcs or characters in general without going into specifics if you don't feel it. If that's easier on you. Obviously don't feel strongarmed or anything, just giving a suggestion. xD On my end, I love any and all commentary, even if it's general if you're struggling with words, or even just a like. No pressure, just saying I'm open to being tagged on it. ^^ And if I didn't comment on commentary on my stuff before (be it here or in Discord), lemme assure people that I did see and enjoy it! Anyway, I haven't been participating in the reading and still haven't decided if I will. But I am remembering all the fun times to be had with Medieval and all the character and people bonding that happened. Round 1 was a fun round, even if there was a lot of early character weirdness. But then that makes it more fun to see how people develop and peoples' initial incarnations. (Even if Elin really didn't hit her character stride until rounds 4-5. Before that I was honestly still trying to figure her out aside from my initial establishments.) I think a lot of people had the same things, though. Still fun to read them. Thank you for the good times, Medieval people. ^^
