I am super late to this discussion, but it's good to meet you! (I go by Coaster on here and I found out about this place in the midst of doing some comics way back in the day; and for reference, you can get to the search for your username's NT entries by clicking the trophy in your userlookup!) As far as favorite plots go... it's hard to say, since they're good for different reasons. For example, even though the Cyodrake's Gaze puzzle didn't have too much plot, it introduced a bunch of cool characters, and even though the Altador Plot turned into a permanent feature, it was fun to see how the lore built up over time. My first that I participated in was Champions of Meridell on an old account that sadly was since purged, so that has a spot in my heart, too. (And of course joining in on the TFR and ToW fanwagon. LDP was one I regret being on hiatus during, though.)

*pokes head in* Met you on another thread by hi again! (I am Liou, in case it's not clear enough from my profile that is still dressed up for a roleplay that has ended, but the roleplays never end for me))
I do remember the suspicious happenings at the Faerie Festival that led up to TFR. Back then, I wasn't very Battledome-savvy, but I was a little more plot-savvy than during Tale of Woe for which I had no clue what was happening aside from "cool story but why can't I do anythiiing". My fondest memory of TFR would be hurling insults at Xandra. Also, Brynn. Also, Jazan, whose participation was incredibly important as it led to further Jazan/Hanso frenemy moments. :3 I found plot characters easier to write about as well. (Probably won't do anything for the next plot as I lost my account a while ago and am not motivated enough to fight for it and am nice and comfy here <3)
That's a nice content list project you've got, it must have taken some time to hunt everything down. I'm tempted to go read / re-read things and - eeeeek you've got some of my old things in there >.< *sweeps under carpet* (I have been Noticed °///°)

Moni Ooh, I'm guessing plot expectations had been kinda low at the time? No wonder TFR was so well-received! ^^ The art, story, and characters were so immediately appealing! And LOL. You must have read the comics so many times! xD I see, if it was still really new, no wonder no one thought FL would actually crash. Yeah, that Faerieland map was really pretty! I was looking at that one when I was trying to describe FL for my story, and I was like, omg, how am I going to do justice to something *that* gorgeous??? (I wasn't as big a fan of Faerie City though...like, even with fallen FL, I still don't really like Faerie City, lol.) Do you remember what the FL site features were like when the faeries were petrified? Like, would it just give you a message at say, the Healing Springs, that Marina was petrified and couldn't do any healing? I don't really remember those details. Like, the actual FL map was still available, right? Since I remember the Editorial saying that someone was actively changing the numbers of FL's elevation as it was gradually sinking... Yeah, Meridell needs a map revamp...it's seriously a shame old TNT wasn't able to get to all the lands before...you know. While JS has a talented artist doing NC backgrounds, most of the other art is well...eh. I kinda don't want them revamping maps until they hire better artists. Though I suppose even they'd be able to make a better map than Meridell's current. Yes, that Crash background *is* really pretty and one of my favorites! ^^ Lol, I wish I still had my points again (especially if it was 70k! ) so I could once more have fun getting all the items there...It's still my favorite prize shop. Ooh, I see. Yeah, I could understand why a lot of writers love it then, if that's the case. So much potential to explore...You're making me really excited to read the plot comic now, lol. xD And it's making me think of Game of Thrones, due to the medieval [fantasy] setting and the intrigue. Haha, though if it's anything like GoT, I feel a lot of things might go over my head, lol, so it's a good thing I'm reading it with a friend (especially one who's already read it and loves it - it's her favorite plot too) so maybe she can make sure I don't miss certain things, like foreshadowing or implications and the like. Then when we're done reading, I can search up NT stories about the plot! ...I just hope I won't be compelled to create an archive for BFM as well...I feel there might be even more stuff about it then for TFR...xD Haha, based on his introduction in that first chapter, I think I'm going to like Kass too. I quite love snarky characters. And the tidbits I've stumbled upon about BFM pertaining to his motivations or whatever have definitely piqued my interest. Huh, just from her vague name as the "Court Dancer" and your listing her as a villain, I can already imagine the scheming and plotting that must go on in BFM. Such a seemingly innocuous role where no one is likely to suspect her of any treachery, and YET. Like, seriously, if you'd just mentioned the "Court Dancer" to me without anything else, I would have just assumed she was one of the good guys, lol. Or someone with a bit role. I know I've seen her image on like, a TCG or something (I think that's where...). I'm interested to know more about Jeran too. I feel like CoM didn't quite go into his character that much. And well, he's included in the MME item Neopian Dream Collection, haha. Yup, no problem! My friend and I had been very dismayed to find BFM broken since, how would we be able to read the plot?? So I did a search for the comic and luckily stumbled across this tumblr! I feel like there's *someone* who has put up old/broken comics somewhere, since I also found some DoN comics, including my favorite (which is what I was looking for!) as well. (I hope they fix DoN!! I finally have a pet who can get me further into the challenges, lol.) Holy moly, only ten and able to do Pre-Algebra?? Impressive. As someone who struggles with doing even basic math in her head, I am very jealous of your mathematically-inclined brain. *laments loudly* I actually *was* around when BFM and HatIC came out...though I still would have missed Curse of Maraqua, LDP, and ToW 'cause I had temporarily been entranced with Gaia Online for a year or so and then later left Neo for YouTube and making Disney fanvids. So I have to catch up on all that lore, lol. Lol, I'm sorry, in that case, I might have to finish reading BFM first to better enjoy your stories (and not get the plot completely spoiled for myself xD). That might take a while though 'cause as I've said, I'm reading it with a friend, and well...we're working through these plots *veeery* slowly. It took us like half a year to finish CoM, haha. So I apologize in advance if you don't hear from me regarding your work like, until a year later. I will send some fanmail afterwards though when I do get to it! ^^

charming thievery I'm looking forward to the upcoming plot, too. This would be my first Battledome one, since I wasn't around for the Obelisk. And yeah, I did participate in plots when I first came back. My first was the SFC and I had a blast. I am still using Corbin and Kell in my stories to this day. This one will be my first Battledome plot as well! I left on a hiatus right when the Obelisk plot was starting. I know, what was I thinking? -__- But I think I'm very ready to damage some wraiths!! >: D Lol, you know, even if they reused the TFR battle steps for fighting wraiths, I wouldn't be upset since then it would be like experiencing the part of TFR I'd missed. xD What was favorite part about the SFC? LOL, well, Corbin and Kell seem like very fun characters to work with, so I don't blame you for that. xD I hope they cameo again somewhere in the future! I am so sad that I missed that plot/event. It sounded really fun to do, and those puzzles seemed reminiscent of the kind from TFR. Neovia gets fun plots/stories, lol.

I was a little grub right in the middle of the Disney Renaissance and the Disney Afternoon, so I got pretty in to it. My favorite of the films is probably The Lion King. How about you? Ah, the best time, lol. I didn't really watch a lot of Disney Afternoon, unfortunately, but my favorite movies are from the Renaissance period as well. My favorites are Mulan and Aladdin. (I feel like I'm betraying one of them if I say I prefer one above the other, lol.) What was your favorite Disney Afternoon show?

That must've taken a lot of work! Color me very impressed! (I have a little experience working with 3D modeling, and I confess it is not quite my cup of tea - it's much more difficult to do than one would think! All the steps involved...So yeah, I just have to give you major props, haha.) Do you also do any 3D animation as well? Edit: Oh, whoops, I also meant to thank you for telling me how to link to my list of NT publications! Thank you! That's very true! Hmm, I haven't gotten around to Cyodrake's Gaze yet, but as for the Altador plot...I also really loved the slow revelation of what happened! Even though I don't quite remember the details, haha. I guess I'll have to go back and read it...my memory's really fuzzy, but it does have the story still available after finishing the plot? Ooh, I just finished reading/watching CoM. ^^ I feel like we'll always favor the first plot we've ever experienced, even after we find others we like better. Yeah! *high fives* And yeah...I see a lot of people still talking about how good LDP was...And then we would've appreciated Jazan's appearance in TFR a lot more if we'd experienced LDP. I hadn't even known who he was when I first stumbled upon TFR's comic, so he was as new to me as Hanso was. xD

Hi again! ^^ (I finally got around to watching the first two episodes of S2 and am starting to go through the thread posts...how far ahead has everyone watched of S2? ) Oohh! That must've been an exciting time, what with all the speculation about what it might mean and if it was a plot??? I've heard people praising how TFR started - that it suddenly came out of nowhere when people had simply thought the Faerie Festival was just a nice daily to get free items...It makes me wonder how other plots had started? Haha, aww... What were the plot steps like for ToW? More confusing than TFR's, I'm guessing? Ahh, yeah, lol. Some of those retorts were downright hilarious! XD Hahaha, just to have a plot step be to insult the villain was a unique and comical choice. xD Poor Xandra. Accomplished so much, but ultimately defeated by some mocking words. Omg, those Hanso & Jazan editorials are some of my favorite things ever! xD I miss them... Oh, no! Wait, does that mean you're no longer playing Neopets then? I wish it wasn't so difficult to get accounts back. I mean, I understand why they'd want to be strict about giving back access to an account, since they do need to make sure it's the original owner. But at least make getting the ticket even *addressed* not be such a hassle?? Thanks! Yeah, I've been working on it for a while. ^^ And haha! I remember enjoying your Oracle Games story "Another Round"!

Monsters, curses, all that fun stuff. I just really like that sort of stuff. (I incorporate that sort of stuff into my writing, whether on Neo or not.) I really enjoyed the puzzles and Neovia has a ton of potential for this sort of stuff.

charming thieveryYeah, at the time no one expected a plot when the faeries turned to stone, or that was my impression. It was a while after Viacom bought out Neopets and started monetizing heavily via the NC mall, and TNT had made a hard turn toward events rather than plots (a trend that would continue), so everyone was like, PLOTPLOTPLOT over and over again. x.x I was sooooooo angry about that faerieland map though. I really liked it, too! xD I think you did a fine job describing it in your story, you do communicate what makes it worthy to be missed quite well... and as for Faerie City... fair enough, it is a little squished in its composition and a little same-y in both maps. My favorite iteration of Faerie City was actually the second map (the "old one" before the map that got displaced by TFR, but the one that's also not the very first Faerieland map). I am actually quite sure that you could still use the healing springs during TFR due to some residual magic or whatever... I like to imagine that was a ploy by Xandra to kill some of the really stingy Neopians. "You want to save on battle healing against MY wraiths? Well, joke's on you, you're using the springs while faerieland plummets at 9.81 m/s! Muahahaha!" I remember everything else besides that being down--I couldn't restock at the Faerie Foods Shop, my beloved crossword puzzle was no longer in the works... it was a tiiiny bit of a nuisance at the time but it did help cement the idea that THIS IS GOIN' BE A PLOT, BOYS. Honestly I think *I* could come up with a better Meridell map... and I'm not even much of an artist! Meridell's current map is so... so... bad it makes me want to cry a little inside. (As is Mystery Island's map, it makes me cri evertim.) For me, Tale of Woe's prize shop is my favorite to look through, haha. But yes, it is a great prize shop, with a good healthy mix of useful items and souvenir-y items some of my pets would probably clamor for if TFR was an actual franchise in Neopia, haha. It's really weird that the top-level prizes aren't that high-priority for me, but I guess that makes for more interesting shopping. x) Well... you can scale down your expectations just a tad, it's not that great realistically, it's more of a fun rompy battle story than any strange political wheeling-and-dealing ala Game of Thrones. A lot of the interest in Battle for Meridell is that it really does leave a lot to your imagination, which is why it was so successful in fanon, because it wasn't a huge stickler for details. I'm super glad to hear that your friend is a fellow follower of the BFM Club though, send her high fives for me. x) Oh dear, BFM has... a loooot of stories about it, and the amount of stories that are kinda-sorta-related to it is also astronomical due to the fact that it just encompasses a lot of site characters. x) A lot of the entries around it are also pretty old, though, like, go-into-the-sub-issue-158-section-of-the-NT old. Kass is actually one of those villains I've grown to like less over time thanks to his similarities with some people irl pfff, in a sort of "oh wow this giant purple gryphon dictator hits way too close to home somehow" sense. The Court Dancer and Morguss actually have a quite significant role in the plot, and your impressions about her are almost exactly how it plays out in a few ways. x) Jeran's an all-around cool dude. I had actually found the DoN comics but not BFM. D-: DoN was so fun through, I do hope they eventually fix it (*cough scrappy cough*) Thanks again for it! I was in the sixth grade at the time, so pre-algebra was pretty important to me! >:-( Disney fanvids are somehow still all the rage in that young child age group, so not much has changed on that front but... Gaia online is something I never got into. Might have been a good thing tbh, but I still am feeling like I missed that 2000s experience by missing that. Oh dear... well, hey, at least then you guys' speeds at reading is comparable to my first read of TFR. (Just joking with you pffff.) I'm guessing you guys read it with each other in real-time via calls and such? That sounds like a super fun way to read the plots if that's the case x) And... thanks! All I really hope for is that for people to enjoy reading my NT stuff they decide to read it. ^^
