Yes I learned about fireball the hard way when Zazz, my rogue fired a magic arrow which turned out to become the 'fireball' spell on impact and injured two teammates and the questgiver yeahh

xD Don't worry, guys, I am going to try not to use fireball if it means friendly fire (it's why I aimed it in such a way as to only hit the tree). I do not want to kill you all, and Meallan would feel bad about hurting members of his party...unless it was Khamet, in which case he'd feel bad if Khamet was injured badly. But even then, he's trying not to get on Khamet's bad side more than he has to.
If precision is needed, I have the circlet of that shoots fire and of course, the ol' trusty EEEELDDDDRRRIIIIITCH BLAAAAASSSST .

Ah yes, eldritch blast: a warlock's best friend. =P
(except Larkspur, who didn't have it...)

Ah, but if you only slightly hit Khamet with a fireball just right, even if it's for little damage... You might burn off his beard. You do not want to burn off his beard. Ah yes, eldritch blast: a warlock's best friend. =P (except Larkspur, who didn't have it...) A warlock without eldritch blast? That feels like a wizard without magic. xD But then that could be my very incomplete knowledge of warlocks talking. What did Larkspur use instead?

Larkspur used other cantrips. Mostly frostbite, which is slightly weaker but more thematic. She was a celestial warlock so mostly a healer anyway.

Thorn - Ah, that sounds really cool too! Totally thematic indeed, and that's a cool go-to cantrip. ^^

It may have been Ray of Frost actually (she had both, and I remember using an attack roll and multiple d8s)- but you get the picture!

ah yes i can always trust Gelquie to keep the lore straight you can't remove khamet's beard! that's where all his morality is! But maybe it will stop Khamet being so disturbingly good-looking. The question is, are we willing to pay the price? It may have been Ray of Frost actually (she had both, and I remember using an attack roll and multiple d8s)- but you get the picture! Both excellent cantrips. Meallan uses Frostbite himself. And being at level 20, you'd probably have enough cool things to not rely so much on cantrips too, I bet. =P

Nope! It was her primary attack, from memory. She mostly kept at range and healed her allies as needed- it's why she couldn't save our rogue in time, he was in melee when he got killed; and then her friend Asher took off in the other direction and got herself killed too. Very dramatic. It still stings when my brother teases me about it. xD
EDIT: Ah! Opened her sheet and she also had sacred flame, a light crossbow, and a mace. Didn't use the mace but recall using the crossbow a few times.
When she was felled and I used Searing Vengeance to bring her back, so she could cast Revivify on Asher as her final spell (which the party didn't know I had until then, so it was funny- although Asher's rper suspected), and then Asher got to go out in her own blaze of glory...was really fun and rewarding, even if it made Larkspur totally break down. xD

My new espresso machine might be the best thing ever.
Although I need to tone it down a little, I'm creeping up to the 4-5 a day mark

Ooh yeah that sounds like a lot of caffeine! xD I never used to like coffee or coffee-type stuff, but we have a bunch of flavoured sachet coffee things lying around and now I like having them when I have to get up early, to help my brain Actually Start.
(I always have one on a EuroAtlantis morning: hazelnut latte, or mochaccino!)
Don't think I'm at all intense enough for espresso though...it's so uh...concentrated!
