On the note of Discord, I've been wondering, what Discord server is this? Where on Discord is Scrappy answering questions? According to Jellyneo, it's the r/neopets Discord server, which is apparently an offshoot of the Reddit Neopets community. So I don't know what it's like. If anyone else has been there, please, let us know what it's like there. |

June Scarlet Ah, thanks! I've heard of r/neopets before, but I also don't know much about it or what the community is like. It's something I've been curious to check out before, so perhaps I'll give it a look soon.

Comics, one of the least? No way. Each issue of the Times seems to contradict that. But if that's really true, then the contradiction must be due to the fact that comics are the least time-consuming to review and thus, more are actually included in an issue compared to other entries. Does that mean most comics get in then? ...Hmm, maybe I should actually work harder to create some, lol.
Still, I should know that making art takes a lot of time...so I guess not too surprising. (But it honestly was, lol.)
That's...kind of disappointing. Even more so considering next year is Flash's pending demise, so this GMC may have been one of the last with all current existing games. :/ But, between that, Advent Calendar and Neopets' 20th Anniversary, yeah, GMC is the obvious choice to let go if all three couldn't be done.
Well, I hope your Negg gallery is on your main account, otherwise tough luck to you! *is still bitter about that item*
Oh, I actually like that idea too! Hopefully it doesn't look strange when actually worn though...

So Neopets finally answered their Birthday Q&A on their Twitter with more to come at a later date. Links: Tweet threadJN postMy comments on specific questions & answers: I'm hoping at least some of it will be the merch that was available at SDCC? I know people were asking about an online shop for those items, which JS had at least said in an Editorial that they'd consider some options. I, myself, really wanted that 20th Anniversary pin and the Torchio sticker! But if it's completely new merch as well...there are so many possibilities that I'm super excited thinking about it all (even if a part of me knows half the things I'd want to see wouldn't be made). But PLEASE consider making plot-related items too, omg. I honest-to-Fyora would buy any TFR item. I am so sad Neopets seemed to stop selling merch before they could make anything for that plot. Anyway, I just hope the quality is up to par... YES PLEASE. I don't really have any dream pets, but as an avid collector whose galleries are one of the main things I care about on Neo, I love this idea SO MUCH. There are a few Babaa (and Kau) items that don't seem to exist at all anymore, so just having a chance to obtain any of them would be amazing. Also, if they do implement this, I kind of hope they allow no-trade items as well, because I've never gotten over the fact that I will never own Storybook Background.  More perks in general, good. Tiers? I don't know about that. I mean, if the current Premium is the top tier and nothing changes about that (in terms of keeping existing perks and price, with possible additional perks), then I'm fine with it. But if it's not, and then they add additional perks for a higher price, then nope. As for lower tiers, most people just want SSW (and this question was probably asked in hopes of this feature - and a select few others - being offered singularly), and knowing that, I can't see why JS would offer that in the bottom tier(s), especially by itself as one of the main perks. It's bound to be at least mid-to-high tiers if this happens at all. But who knows. Maybe more people actually would buy Premium if they had the option to just get SSW for a lower price, enough to balance out the people who might downgrade to a lower tier. I still think more people would downgrade than new people would sign up though. I know I would probably downgrade if SSW were available at a cheaper price. Also, these are two different things; stop fueling the confusion, lol. I do wonder how far along they are with the mobile site though. I recently looked at the JN demo video of it, and I do feel encouraged by what I see so far. I wish we could see what the rest of the site would look like, not just the parts of it that use Flash. Would we still see our pets on most pages as we browse the site? How will site themes work? I don't want to lose my TFR theme or the only piece of Treasure Keepers I have left. I would imagine they probably wouldn't launch the mobile site until the most important Flash assets have been converted, and I kind of get the sense they'll need all the available time they have for that. I don't know how long it takes to convert Flash content or how long it would take to make a typical Neopets page mobile-friendly, but since there's A LOT of it to work on, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see the mobile version until the very last second. So like, end of next year. But I don't know how any of this stuff works, so maybe that's a very ignorant and pessimistic guess. I dunno. |
