Celestial Fionn, seeing eye dogs wear harnesses that explicitly say "don't pet me, I'm working" XD; I would like to make it clear that I know that, and after some consideration have decided Fionn is not so stupid so I will edit my post. >_> Sorry, especially to Kyn . No harm done ^^ Although... Pardon me if I'm misinterpreting this, but... is Fionn actually checking out Cade's dog?! 1. Does your character like cats? 2. If so, what would your character most like to feed a wandering cat that they've taken in out of the goodness of their heart? <3 3. What would your character name their newfound kitty? 8D 4. If you were a cat, how would you describe your character? =o 1. Yes, and other animals in general 2. Bits of fish, like tuna or sardine flakes 3. Fluffy 4. Gentle human with strange eyes (cat doesn't know they're shades =P) but who is very good at petting/stroking, and more importantly, only starts the petting/stroking when given a cue i.e. the cat rubbing against him. Has a dog, but the dog is Less-Scary-Than-The-Other-Dog. I've taken the liberty of labelling each note in the Google Drawings doc with the name of its bearer in case I need to lookup that information for roleplaying purposes. Here's the image: Will post in RP soon!

I'm wondering, are all of the puzzles going to be so heavily ingrained in the roleplay, or will some be more meta-leaning? This is pretty fun for now, but I could see it getting a little tiresome to roleplay EVERYONE DOING THE PUZZLE THINGER in multiple successive rounds. XD

Kyn - Thanks for putting that together; I kept wondering which note pieces mine were adjacent to. xD Looks I might be able to do that with Moni soonest. I figure Alexis followed Liz to Ro's stand, but there's not much for her to do right now besides "Alexis followed Liz, saw a new person, and watched to see if the situation is okay", so I'm going to wait for another post in that scenario. Pardon me if I'm misinterpreting this, but... is Fionn actually checking out Cade's dog?! If I'm reading that the way I think you're reading that, I doubt it. xD I think Fionn's reaction is more "aww, puppy!" than anything. (Though I think only Celes can confirm that one.)

Maybe she is Ms Frizzle. That might also explain why she also included broioioioioing into the article about the dome. Classic Ms Frizzle thing to say, right? Disclaimer: I had never even heard about that show until last night xD I'm wondering, are all of the puzzles going to be so heavily ingrained in the roleplay, or will some be more meta-leaning? This is pretty fun for now, but I could see it getting a little tiresome to roleplay EVERYONE DOING THE PUZZLE THINGER in multiple successive rounds. XD Well, it is equal parts puzzle game and roleplay. Without giving away too much, there are puzzles later on that can just be glossed over to "and then they solved this thing and the outcome happened at them" - but by all accounts that applies to any puzzle. There's no guideline as to what you have to roleplay and how thoroughly. You could opt to timeskip forward to the message being deciphered and start discussing what that might mean (get thee to the library?). You could opt to give your piece to the puzzle-solving group and wander off to hang out with someone else at the fair (which is precisely why I timeskipped to the fair in this chapter; so that the non-puzzlers would have something to do). You could opt to go poke at the dome some more. You could opt to do some more worldbuilding. You could opt to try and figure out why the cats are doing that weird thing. (but the cats aren't doing anything weird, you say - WELL JUST YOU WAIT.)

I promise there is nothing weird going on. At least, not in that sense.

I had a dream last night that a new round suddenly started and all of the PCs were suddenly thrown into an Escape Room puzzle... that we had to actually solve to escape. It was chaos. XD

We're both complete and utter suckers for escape room puzzles, but I've no idea how it'd be translated into a setting like this xD It's not like we can code anything.
I mean, if it was something like an old-fashioned adventure game to explore where different options give you different outcomes, plus some creativity to put the items found together, but then it'd be massive chaos with so many players, it'd have to be like, done in small groups or something- *promptly dragged out of the thread*

Another heads-up! This game is already starting to generate quite a bit of art, which is really freaking awesome you guys. I'm using the second post of the OOC thread (not counting the intro post, so technically the third post? gonna be honest, I have no idea how the post-numbering system is meant to work but whatevs, just scroll down until you see "ARTS") to collect all the art people are making of the game. I won't include character profile pics because those are already linked to in the character roster, but all the other things that people make will go there (unless of course anyone would rather not have their art included for whatever reason). If anyone ends up doing writing or other stuff Wrighton-related, it can go there as well.

Okay, there's something we'd like to put on the table for general nomnoms.
How would everyone feel about a short timeskip forward to the point where the puzzle has been put together and deciphered, so that in-story discussion can move forward on it? It'd still be within the same chapter (the next one won't start for several more days) but we were thinking of say, giving a 24-hour or 48-hour deadline in which people can wrap up pending interactions and then whisking it forward a bit so that all the in-story stuff with discovering the puzzle pieces doesn't become tedious.
Or if the current pace is a-okay, we can keep it as is. We're just trying to figure out which is the best course of action right now.
Yays? Nays? Bananas?

XD It'd be good to have the characters get to actually react to the note and it's contents instead of spending all round trying to get together and get the cipher solved.

I guess this would assume that every single one of the 16 Player Characters eventually met up and all put their pieces together? In a way I support this just because I'm already struggling a bit with a four-person interaction, and trying to balance talking to 16 people at once would be a small nightmare. Beatrice would encourage everyone who shared a piece to trade phone numbers too, just throwing that out there.

Bananas! Much as part of me is like "ach but I JUST started interactions!!" - I think yeah, it's probably best to jump forward to the puzzle being solved so that there's something more expansive to talk about than the clues.
