I love this forum so much. ;_; I woke up afraid to check this thread because I was afraid it had become a passive aggressive argument zone with lots of drama and fighting. (Too much time on the internet has told me that disagreements tend to lead to blowups) and so coming here to find everyone still being kind and reasonable to each other... It's just the best thing ever. I love all of you.
I'm also incredibly excited about that note and plotty things, but. You already knew that!
As a side note, was it ever actually confirmed whether the wireless/radio signals were being blocked? This is relevant only to my fanfic, so it isn't really important, but I'm curious!

I've been wondering about this for a while, but who are the town hall staff? Who's the mayor? XD; I don't think I've seen any posts concerning them and I don't know who's got the liberties to create them. I've been dodging identities in my posts...er, post, but I think there will come a time I can do that no longer. I thiiiink someone may have asked this already, but we haven't really thought about the mayor or other officials. So they're available as sort of share-and-share-alike NPCs - you're welcome to write the mayor into a future post, and then other people can also use them if it becomes relevant. We might even get a few nice fleshed-out collectively-written characters that way. Welp, looks like Thundy answered that question. Really, we're pretty willing to go with things. If something blatantly conflicts with what we've got planned (which is pretty unlikely at this point) or with what's already been established, we'll drop a line to whomever wrote it and get it sorted out; but on the whole, the players are welcome to do quite a bit of worldbuilding. On an unrelated note, every time I see Huntress's avatar, something deep down in my brain goes "Is that Ms. Frizzle?" |

Sooo, I have a confession... I can't figure out an occupation for Athene. xD
It's not like I haven't narrowed it down or don't have good front-runners. I just can't for the life of me decide what occupation I should commit to. I've kept it vague until now.
The occupations I've considered for Athene:
-Physical therapist (but then I wonder if that might affect her relationship with Alexis, though that could be a good or bad thing... Not sure. Also wonder if it'd be too close to home for Athene... Or if it being too close to home is exactly why Athene chose a career like this or similar to this.)
-Nurse (requires a lot of schooling, and then I'd have to decide whether she works at a hospital, clinic, at a school, or what... and even then, I'm not sure if this totally fits)
-Some sort of job in the town hall that is probably not the mayor (because I think that would make Alexis a lot more well-known a kid than she actually is xD ), but I can't figure out for the life of me what.
-I thought of her as a merchant too, but couldn't decide what she was selling. (For the record, her stand could either be selling something or it could be an informational stand. One I keep coming back to it a health and safety stand/first aid tent, but that's only if I do something vaguely health-y.)
So you can kind of see where I'm leaning, butyeah, I'm open to suggestions and noted preferences, or people pointing out similar occupations.
Because my brain is struggling to commit and I'd like to be able to write her at a stand so that people can interact with her if they want. And also because I don't want to have too much overlap with other players if someone else has something too similar. I basically just want to finally decide so I can commit to something so that character stuff is less vague.
Help me out?

1. Does your character like cats?
2. If so, what would your character most like to feed a wandering cat that they've taken in out of the goodness of their heart? <3
3. What would your character name their newfound kitty? 8D
4. If you were a cat, how would you describe your character? =o

Avery - Alexis has opinions!1. Sure, Alexis likes cats... But she may not always know how to act around them. She is used to dog behavior, alas. ;_; 2. Little scraps of meat. =D 3. Kind of depends on what it looks like, I think? And how it behaves. 4. That human who keeps making sudden movements and pets me too much and too long and pays too much attention to me. =| The pettings are okay at first, but not that much! The basic takeaway here is "Alexis likes cats but doesn't know how to behave around them. ;_; "

Holly has a doge, so cats might not be keen to approach her. XD Doesn't help that she lives in an apartment complex. But Dunkin (her doge) is very cat friendly so if a cat was willing to brave the terror to approach her, Holly'd be fairly friendly with it. Maybe give it chunks of sandwich meat or something. And I think she'd probably be described as "the doge-lady who smells like plants" since she works with herbal perfumes so much. As to a name, would depend on the cat's behavior/what it looks like. XD |

Avery in answer to your questions... 1) Fionn is not a cat person but he would not kick a cat away. Mostly he'd just let it be. 2) That said, he might feed it scraps of whatever he's got lying around. 3) "You there" or just "cat" 4) Big and soft with a nice, smooth coat you could lie on and rub your head into. Smelling of bacon and food. Probably cats would like him because he would just let it exist and he smells of food and is very soft. The softest fren.
