Since the thread originally went up on Tuesday for me (tiiiimezones), I'll do my darndest to update on Tuesdays. Still focusing on just two things for now: the painting and the sweater. Making steady progress on both. Lo, more pictures. A boatman emerges. Now with baby hand for scale. The sleeves are nearly done, halfway up to the shoulders. My Neopets account got frozen last week, which suddenly puts a damper on my various NT- and petpage-related project plans, but it also did inspire me to plan yet another comic series, which I might just shoehorn into the "make more Shad and Saura comics" part of the project list. Will see what I'll actually focus on next once one of the current focal points is done, though.

Will see what I'll actually focus on next once one of the current focal points is done, though. Wow that painting is GORGEOUS, I didn't know they made such beautiful paint-by-numbers @__@ (Er, also I wrote this comment not having realized it was paint-by-numbers so I guess some of this should be addressed to whoever put the original design together but... I still think all of this looking at the picture so xD; ) I love the palette, the warm orange and yellow bring a really cozy warmth to the cool and tranquil blues, and the blacks are the perfect solid accent for the bright colors; I love the wavering reflections in the water of the lights in the window and the spray of flowers scattered over the dark wall, it's such a delicate contrast! The blue used for the tower in the distance gives the scene a really nice atmospheric perspective, and I love the soft light in the sky; it looks like such a cool, calm evening out in the open while the houses are all lit up with warmth. And that is lovely scrolling detail on the white fence. (Also when I viewed the image to get a better look, I discovered it was horizontal format. Is this some trick of my browser, or did you rotate it with code? xD) Aww the curious baby hand :') That sweater looks like it's going to be thick and warm, I'm always super impressed with people being able to knit/make clothes they can actually wear. xD

I mean, I was going to respond on the other general Spring Cleaning thread but then realized that it actually stands more to reason to comment on each other's progress n stuff here, so that everyone wouldn't just be posting into the void and general enthusiasm and mutual encouragement would be maintained. Mostly Harmless (flufflepuff) , can has you pitch in? Being of the adminly persuasion, I can move individual posts later if necessary.) aheh yes, I have my artistic merits but actual traditional media, let alone actual paintings are pretty well beyond me. Paint-by-numbers paintings seem to have become a bit of a thing alongside coloring books for adults, if you know where to look. But it has worked wonders to teach me things about contrast and color use and how reflections work and how to convey texture of water, so not completely mindless therapeutic exercise, I guess xD Although I can strongly recommend the mindless-therapeutic-exercise part, it's a lot of fun. But hey, if you want one, behold the glories of Aliexpress: 18 euros plus free worldwide shipping. Aliexpress is basically what happened when China realized that they make all of the world's stuff anyway and could just as well keep all the sweet money that otherwise goes to mediators who ship it to the rest of the world. The copyright aspect of the paint-by-numbers there is prrrobably a bit dubious though, depending on the seller. (The rotation issue has probably something to do with Photobucket being an increasingly durrface image host. That happens to me a lot as well whenever I browse on mobile.) The sweater will turn out warm as heck, it's part alpaca xD Knitting is another one of those mindless therapeutic things I like to do, if you can keep grabby-grubby baby hands away from the progress.

Oops, I forgot to post yesterday >>;
Anyway, this week was a lot more productive than the last one! =D I got 3 presents done (well, the third one still needs a bit of work, but it's almost done, so I'm counting it) and I have done rough sketches for the rest. Those are still subject to change when I work on the final pieces, but it's still progress!
(It's really tempting to just send the ones that are done already, but I think I'll hold out and try to send all of them at the same time. It'll still be a while...)
PROGRESS: 3/13 Done

Huntress, while I have not yet consulted with Gelquie to see what she thinks, I think conversation regarding the updates is okay here. The project list thread serves as something to look back to if one forgets a project or to cross things off/see them crossed off on other people's lists. If it has to do with updates, it's okay here. Everything else regarding the event can go in the main thread. Frankly, I'm impressed with what everyone's doing and feel a bit guilty for not commenting myself. ^^;

\ o / I finally finished that *Maniacal Laughter* thing this week! (I'm kind of stupidly pleased with it, haha.) Now I just need to stare at it a bit longer and make sure I don't want to tweak anything else, then I need to resize some progress photos, and then I can share it with you guys. =D
And since I didn't update until Wednesday, I also did the pencil drawing At a Carnival.
...That's about it, but I deem it a successful week. ^^
Also, just to say, but I have been enjoying reading everyone's progress, too, even if I haven't been actively commenting. =D GO GO PRODUCTIVITY!

Another light week for Javascript today, I finished it all on Tuesday.
I’ve still been cleaning and organizing, though I’ve slowed down a bit. Doing quieter things, like sorting papers and little things like that. I did work on organizing my bookshelves a bit more.
Made an appointment for next Tuesday to talk to a career advisor at my college, to help me write my resume and online profile. I really struggle with those sorts of things because I never know what to say about myself.
Art has been light. Too light, I’ve only done some sketching two days last week. Not drawing is dangerous, you can get out of practice and slowly degrade your skills. I need to draw every day, even if just for a little bit.
I have some extra free time this week because Javascript was short. I need to start working on my WordPress final project with the time I saved.
I began thinking deeper on how I want the second half of Ink 3 to go, now that I’m so close to finishing the first half. I also got some fanmail for my existing Ink series, which is very gratifying. I need to reply to them. I have this thing about forgetting to reply to people who praise me. I think it’s because I don’t know what to say.
Sort of a quiet week, but I guess it was good enough.

Though I'm inclined to think that if the conversation is starting to take over the thread (like, a long chain of back-and-forth) to maybe move it to PMs or elsewhere, but besides that, I think it's okay. ^^

Went ahead and crossed off art requests from my list as I'm basically done with those x) Posted all the pictures I finished and made sure everyone got theirs, so that's all taken care of! Since Spring Break was last week for me and I spent that time at home, I also got to regroup with my Tae Kwon Do instructors. I went to a class basically everyday to further practice my board breaks, only this time with other people around to tell me what to improve \o/ After that, I've felt like I've been making some good progress on that, so I'll just continue solo training now that I'm back at school. Regarding story development, Greenless Rainbow has been getting a lot of attention lately. No huge breakthroughs on anything yet, but I'm not really expecting that right now. Most of it right now is sketching and writing down random ideas and seeing if it sticks later x) Along with the sketch of Delano that I made for the Art Swap, I've also got some other sketches from the past couple days (digital, at least. others are scrawled in a couple sketchbooks x3): Delano's father in his younger days. A year or two of developing him, though, and he still won't tell me his name xP Some sketches of everyone's favorite character, the sun! I'm happy with how these turned out, but my only fear is recreating them xD At the very least, each step used to make these are recorded on separate layers, so I still have the original process and colors. But man, the first time making it is the easiest as there are no expectations on how it should look xD Only downside to working on Greenless Rainbow the past couple weeks is that Blossoms has been sidelined. I can juggle two stories in my head at maximum, but even then, that's me fully diving into one for a period of time with the other in the back of my mind, and I switch between the two. Blossoms right now has comics that'll run until the first week of May, but I'd really like to get on that story in that time. Hopefully I'll take the chance soon. April project is coming along as I've gotten to the background colors. I wouldn't call it completely done yet, but its deadline is quickly coming up so I should get on that soon. Only problem is that at this point, I don't really know what to do with it xD I could easily clean it up and call it done in maybe a day, and I might end up doing that if I have to, but I still want to see if I can do more with it.

Update day...
Well, like I said, last week was busy. So I've made pretty much no progress. Not that last week was unproductive, just I didn't make progress on my list.
In fact, I added something to my list. I borrowed something that I need to get through in a timely manner, so I need to get through that, so that's on the list.
On the surface, that could count as negative progress for my Spring Cleaning list. But honestly... it's not. Because I still got other things done.
That said, I'll try to work more on list stuff this week, because I think I'll have time for it now.

Wait... Where did my update go?? I KNOW I typed it out. Must not have hit the "reply" button. Anyway, I'm failing miserably so far. The only one I've made any consistent progress on is the reading more one. I've made a tiny bit of progress on the learn HTML one, and none on any of the others. Not sure when that will change. lol
