Thorn
No such candy greets her reach, however, and Thorn instead pulls out a small piece of paper among many others. Unraveling it, she finds a note upon it.
Gelquie
There is indeed something inside; among many others, she pulls out a paper with writing scrawled across it (in a rather hurried fashion, one might admit).

As Snaw barges in to hug his friend, he unfortunately just finds a lifeless scratching post returning his embrace. A thin, black tabby stares at him with paranoid eyes before dashing to the underside of the living room coffee table. Cuddles, Scary, and Sparklefrits as well encounter a tabby, albeit much younger and plumper one, and pet the affectionate creature as he rubs against their legs in curiosity. Aside from the two house pets, though, it appears that no other life forms are present with the eager trick-or-treaters. In fact, looking back, Snaw notices that all the lights inside the house had been shut off, and the door he had just kicked open had its deadbolt previously locked. Oh dear, the property damage costs on that won't look pretty...
But the porch light is still on, so surely there's something to be had? Sure enough, a small group of fellow trick-or-treaters outside have gathered around a stool upon which stool an unassuming top hat. Perhaps there was something inside?
Fraze
The edge of a crumpled paper catches his fingertips, and, checking for any paper cuts first, the boy grabs the paper and takes a look.

Hi there! I wish I could actually see you in person so as to get a look at your costume, but I guess the thrill of the candy hunt has got me as well ^^ I'm sure you look fantastic, though! (better than me, at least, I went the cheapest possible route this year).
I'm curious, though; when, in your opinion, was the best you ever looked? If you tell me about your favorite Halloween costume you've worn before in a poem that ends with a couplet, then I may just give you something in return!

Hm, what should my next idea be? Of course, for you, this is the first of my ideas you've come across, but let me tell you, when you write dozens of these little tasks, you suddenly discover the limits of your creativity XP
Regardless, I think I've got just the thing! Halloween's one of the best holidays to spark creativity; think about it, every year we're asked to dress ourselves in a way that we usually would not, even having to be original from last year's costume. Decorations of every shape and size are manufactured, sold, crafted, carved, and then comes the part of deciding just where to put everything, and, darnit, does the jack o' lantern look better facing this angle, or the opposite? Then, of course, there's actually creating the proper spooky atmosphere by scaring kids with ghost stories or pelting your helpless neighbors with pranks (property damage, *gasp* the horror!).
The results of this call to creativity can be... mixed. With every Mona Lisa of pumpkin carvings, there's always that lopsided smiley face carved into the unsuspecting squash just across the street.
What I'm curious about is your thoughts on creativity: what is the most impressive or creative pumpkin carving you've come across before? Or rather, what do you think is the best carving you've made yourself? Describe it on the back of this note, and then be sure to place it back in the hat; I'm dying to find out

Running around in the dark can sure get scary, huh? Especially with all these strange people in their elaborate costumes, and that elderly couple down the street that gives people dirty glares whenever they ring the bell.
Thankfully, though, we don't have to face these terrors alone! Trick-or-treating is often a social event, after all, and there's nothing better than staying up late with friends to get that rightfully deserved candy!
Tell me about your fondest memory while trick-or-treating, or just during Halloween in general, in the form of a four line open verse poem, and I'll see if I can compete with it ;3
The "treat" part of the holiday is obvious, but how often do we see the "trick" side of things? I myself have never been blessed to witness such marvelous Halloween trickery (and I beg of you not to use my house as a fix for that), but what about you? Have you ever seen the results of a holiday prank, perhaps watched it happen? Or maybe you performed some of these yourself, or at least dreamed to do it at some point.
In a short story of 200 words, tell me about any real life experience you've had with Halloween pranks, or alternatively, any prank that you think would produce wondrous results if executed. Write it on the back of this paper, stick it back in the hat, and then I'll see what I can do for you!
