After getting my role and being unsatisfied with my current ideas, I scrapped them all and came up with a new character who I like much much more.
Her name is Tabitha Kingsley, a proper lady with a taste for adventure and the skills to match. Imagine Mary Poppins who is also able to do martial arts. That's Tabitha. She dresses like a late Victorian lady, with bloomers, a floral hat and parasol, though all with a steampunk flair and goes out to fight crime, all while being polite and sweet. A proper lady never throws a punch but she can nevertheless fight in graceful ways.
She is aided by her trusty umbrella, which has a variety of uses, from acting as a reinforced shield, shooting stunning blasts of compressed air and allowing her to glide on it (as I said, Mary Poppins) to coming apart to become a sword and shield and acting like a club if necessary. Her hat also contains a nice amount of gadgets disguised as flowers, or her favourite, one hair pin containing a tranquiliser and another which can act like a USB drive to unecrypt passwords (they're colour-coded for convenience. Don't want to tranquilise a laptop after all). As the RP progresses, she'll probably develop get new gadgets but those are just the ones I've thought of so far. Oh, and all of them are designed by her loving mum.
Personality-wise, Tabitha is very polite and proper but also very easy-going and sweet to everyone she meets. She is flashy and loves attention as well as being dramatic. Bad manners will not be tolerated from her, though she will respond to any slight with a smile and a a severe beatdown. Can be a bit snooty but ultimately good-natured. Loves animals, a lot.
Her day job is as an opera singer and she does not hide her secret identity at all. In fact, she thinks having kids see her on TV and then be interested in her performances is a good way to get some culture into them.

Celestial Okay that sounds really awesome. I can't wait to see her in action! owo -- FIREFLYMAN'S INCREDIBLY LAME POWERS/BIOLOGICAL FEATURES Fireflyman has trichromatic vision similar to humans, but has some vestiges of insect compound vision thanks to the fact that he still has a few ommnatidia in the whites of each human eye. He can see some ultraviolet light because his lenses do not filter it out. His eyes are curved out a little. Things that are covered by his insect sight often appear very pixellated, which means that they are mainly useful for detecting gross motion. Fireflyman does not have antennae--those features being replaced by human senses. However, fireflyman is still affected by some pheromones and certain patterns of light--sometimes in awkward ways, since fireflies use their light signals, among other things, to find prey and mates. His backside and his back emit light based on how good of a friend someone is and he will sometimes dance ritualistically to show his gratitude to them. To save himself from embarrassing moments, he sometimes opts to wear light-blocking shorts and shirts. Fireflyman has slightly above average intelligence and is an information sponge, but his crystallized knowledge of human society is very low. He has an odd knack for language, however, and is in fact currently working on trying to pursue a high school diploma so he can follow his dream of being a marine biologist. Fireflyman has wings, and he can fly! He has an inhuman (and in-insect) ability to dodge things and is excellent at perceiving motion. His wings can also act as shields for very light projectiles, but he prefers to keep their integrity. Fireflyman is immune to radiation. As a matter of fact, his day job is working in a nuclear reactor and making sure everything is up to speed. His cells are excellent at repairing DNA damage and most of his cells exhibit remarkable flexibility. Fireflyman's movements are really jerky and quick. Fireflyman is capable of secreting very powerful digestive enzymes from his mouth. SO HOW DOES FIREFLYMAN FIGHT? WHAT DOES HE DO IN THE REALITY SHOW? That is a tale for another day. A really, really lame tale.

I think I got carried away. Everything just fell into place with this one. XD This turned out longer than I thought it would be....heh... She is known to most as Mizshu. This unwilling heroine has the outward body of a 12-year-old, the mind of a 10-year-old, and an actual age kept hidden. Why? She's a most secretive child. Also, it was custom in her time that whoever was the smallest retrieved any out of bounds balls, even if it fell into the absolutely filthy Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn. (REAL LIFE!) legend has it that the water is/was so contaminated, anyone who swam in it with any frequency would either become very sick or receive superpowers. Unlike this guy who swam in it to raise awareness for disease, Mizshu did both. Her mind and body developed but, as far as she knew, they stopped growing altogether. This is why she has trouble learning high school material and can't comprehend things that are fairly complicated. In spite of this Mizshu goes out of her way to try to learn new things and meet people. People are fine, in fact, people are wonderful where secrets are concerned. They're tremendous fun to learn about and play with so long as they don't ask too many questions. As for her powers, they came about when Mizshu swam one time too many in the canal. One day she noticed her hands kept getting dusty. The dust occasionally produced by her hands has special properties: it is a panacea, able to heal the worst wounds of man, animal, or plant....or it could poison them. Though Mizshu has had this strange power for years, she has no way to tell which effect it would have. Frightened by a terrible accident upon receiving her powers, Mizshu fled her beloved home in Brooklyn, cycling her way to Heraclia on her pitiful, single-speed bike, where she hoped to blend in in plain sight so no one would fall victim to her unblemished, dusty hands. So far this has not worked.

I've mentioned Sinclair, and now I drew him! Here he is for all to behold. What a perfect specimen of disgruntled businessman! :-D I like this design- I wasn't expecting the freckles, it's always nice to see them on characters who aren't 'cutesy' types (since that's more often the done thing).

And some more detailed information on my character Kizuna. Kizuna
-Ability to Transfer/Share/Pass pain onto others or himself, but feels the bulk of it (75%?) himself.
-Relieves Pain from others, taking the pain himself or spread out and shared among multiple people. -Can focus Pain to a specific person/persons as an attack. -Does not HEAL (only a pain reliever) -Since he takes bulk of pain himself, needs to rest or get things done quickly. Tries to act like it doesn't effect him. -Must have people within range (12ft?) for power to work best, weakens the further away.
-Transferred pain lingers a unknown amount of time (depends on how much was transferred).
-Decent Combat Training -Uses Caltrops
Power 3/5 C Speed 3/5 C Technique 6/5 S Intelligence 4/5 B Cooperativeness 4/5 B I don't really have his looks down just yet. Should be done shortly or by the time RP starts... I hope XD

I really like abilities which inconvenience the user, and taking on the pain of others is pretty much as inconvenient as you can get. =P Good luck working on his looks- designing a character's appearance is one of my weaknesses as well.

If you were to look back at all my characters in the past. Most will basically look the same with slight changes XD The ones who aren't, are pretty much just taken from real life characters of some sort with some changes like a bad OC XD Welp, I try XD

I've had an idea solidified for a while now, but I wanted to wait until I had a picture. Unfortunately, character design sites are not cooperating with me, so that will have to come later!
Their name is undecided so far, but it's probably short. They're a 27-year-old gymnast, having trained since they were very young, and they fight crime using a combination of cleverness and pure athleticism, with a couple of commissioned techy tricks: shock-absorbing boots, among others (which I haven't decided yet; under consideration are wristguards and a helmet, neither of which would be particularly high-tech but I just haven't decided if they'd use them). Their weapons are their feet and fists.
They very openly present themself as an Unpowered Hero; not because they have anything against supers, but because they want to prove by example that superpowers are not the only way to help out or make a difference in the world. (As a kid they thought differently, and growing out of this was what led them to become an actual hero.)
They have a day job working at a convenience store, and while they don't actively advertise their superhero status, it's probably fairly easy to guess (their build and face are fairly recognizable, and their hero costume is literally just a leotard) and they don't particularly care.

My villain is slowly coming along... In recent years, the Queen has earned herself quite the reputation, one on both a national and global scale. Not in crime, though, oh no. As the next up and coming pop star, the Queen has been stealing the hearts of audiences far and wide. With fierce, theatrical concert performances and a mix of rock, pop, and jazz in her songs, it's no wonder why the young artist's albums are being taken by storm. It also doesn't hurt that she has an air of mystery; rumor has it that not even the Queen's manager knows the face behind that wig and makeup, let alone her real name. And although nothing has been confirmed yet, word has been swirling among the masses that the Queen has been invited to Heraclia to help kick off the next season of its acclaimed reality show, Hero City. If she is to perform, many believe it'll be a surprise appearance-- a move not unheard of in her career. And with an increased report of petty crime in the Heraclia area, it seems that the more extreme fans have taken their chances and settled in the city. As is, such crime is never far behind wherever the Queen goes... Natasha Greiss is packed again and ready to go. With road and plane trips practically being the norm now, there's no reason why this trip should be any different for her. Ever since Natasha's manager called and said her next stop was the city of Heraclia, though, she's been trying to delay it as much as possible. It proved a fruitless effort, though, and she had to accept the inevitable. Performing has been her whole life these past few years, but the show Natasha is about to put on at Heraclia will be unlike any in her career before, and it will be for a much more private, personal audience. also likes pancakes

I usually don't like to give my character away before the beginning, but since everyone is doing it! XDD Plus, I guess it helps to set up any pre-existing relationships and whatnot. So, I'd better tell you about the hero whose name you'll hear chanted across the city 8D: The utopic planet of Mancandia is facing dire peril. In a world where the female gender was non-existent for years, a chance exploration mission led to the discovery. OF THE FEMALE SPECIES OUT THERE IN THE UNIVERSE!
So naturally they decided to kidnap said species on an annual basis and force them to live in Mancandia for all eternity. Because who wouldn’t love that, right?
However, social unrest had started to flourish; who the heck gave these women permission to rebel anyway?! The men didn’t, that’s for darn sure. And now the women of Mancandia have disappeared. Some of them built a rocket in secret - while the men were drinking beer and punching things - and escaped the planet. But most of them simply fled to a remote island and created a forcefield around it. Rumour has it that at night they like to jam radio signals with the sounds of them partying to the men’s favourite music: Dubstep.
Enter DUDE BRO™ (Real Name: TBC). With super-powered individuals so common in Mancandia, having Super Speed was nothing particularly special. But it did have it’s uses. So when it was decided that instead of diplomatically discussing terms with the women already on the planet (because ain’t nobody got time for that) they should just go and get some more, DUDE BRO™ seemed like the most annoying suitable candidate.
Despite having a run-of-the-mill power back home, in Heraclia he was a star. When asked in interviews, DUDE BRO™ would state that his real power was super-human good looks (swoon), and the fangirls leapt at him. So maybe staying here for an extended period of time was a good thing. And besides, there was always trouble brewing in Heraclia, and he was made for the camera. He could still grab a bunch of women for back home in the end, that mission was never forgotten, but for now the call of fame and fortune was a strong one.
It was a pretty comfy gig. When he wasn’t making women weak at the knees from his daring heroics, DUDE BRO™ fancied himself a performer. Impromptu appearances at birthday parties, weddings, even the odd hen night, that were never pre-planned, but money was required nonetheless.
Hero City couldn’t ask for a better role model.
