Zoey to clarify, are you asking for the reference of the pet to be a human reference, or just a reference in general? I have quite a few pets, most of which have reference art, but I seldom to never draw them as humans so I wanted to clear up what you meant. XD

His name is Xeln, Xee for short, and as you can probably tell he's a starry lupe. Personality-wise he's your prototypical "jerk with a heart of gold" archetype. Snarky, anti-social, impatient, and juuuust a bit egotistical. He's very smart and he knows it. But deep down he's a highly praise-driven character who just wants approval and recognition, and is highly moral with a strong sense of responsibility. He works at the Academy of Brightvale as a librarian and also serves as Hagan's court historian. Fun facts- aside from reading, his favorite hobby is falconry, and he has an electric airax petpet he hunts with. He also has an ability called "Second Sight" which allows him to see magic in people and bespelled objects.  |

EVERYTHING THIS DUDE:  THIS IS DANNER HE IS A MERIDELL KNIGHT He's like 100% more awesome and funny than Jeran even though he is known as Jeran's right hand man. Despite his glib and often carefree nature, he's very loyal to those he trusts, unless they do something reprehensible. He's a bit of a sleuth, often poking his nose in others' business where it might not be wanted. He loves talking to people and is very organized and conscientious. THIS DUDE: THEODAXX  Theodaxx is an overconfident, boisterous alien Aisha who is very patriotic. Well... he USED to be an alien Aisha. After an unfortunate incident with the lab ray, he turned into a jelly Aisha--and since then, he has vowed revenge against the lab ray scientist. He travels with his sister, Jenyah, who is sort of the yang to his yin and keeps him from doing something stupid like wiping out terror mountain. Theodaxx is a bit set in his ways and slow to change, and though he is prone to emotional highs, he is also very prone to the lows. THIS DUDE: JERAN   Jeran is one of the best knights Meridell has to offer. Separated from his sister at a young age by traveling into the past, he was trained as a knight by Skarl who, at the time, saw him as a sign of good luck--and he hasn't disappointed; publicly, at least. He's been very close to his sister ever since they've been reunited. He's a bit of a shut-in and often can be described as neurotic, though *generally,* he is friendly. |

This sounds awesome! If I could give a few options for guy-characters, all Neopets, they would probably be: Kougo: Retired spy, primarily as an analyst; hooman would probably be sort of early-30s with premature graying and other aging signs, but still lean and well-kept; thinks he's the suave Bond type, but rather irritable--but still with a bit of "wealthy eccentric inventor Brit" vibe. Bewhiskered, i.e. a thin moustache, or even some stubble. Medium-brown skin, mostly-black hair. Pose can be whatever you want, but leafing through a stack of papers and looking annoyed at being interrupted would probably fit. Izyl: Cocky, handsome, charming, utterly deceitful and condescending. Ran away from knighthood and took up adventuring and mercenary work in faux-heroism before it turned on him and cemented the personality he has today (that said, also rather convincing at the "nice guy" act, of the type an average feminist would take great issue with when revealed). Perfectly tousled blonde hair (well, under the hat), sideburns, and nice eyebrows. Weapon of choice is a halberd, although he walks with an ornamental staff now. Whichever, he'd probably be leaning with it and grinning slyly. Hoshea: Rebellious, rude, but cares deeply for his view of what's right, fickle and disloyal as it is. Pragmatic, but with hidden depths. Tall, tough and wiry (with a fair bit of arm muscle). Foul-mouthed and generally doesn't care jack about sensitivity. Hooman would probably have poor posture, spiky red hair, a soul patch or goatee, and probably one hand in the pocket and a finger-gun with the other. I think the outfits from the 3D renders on their userlookups would be best, or else from their appearances in the Ventures comics (see NT trophy for the list). I'm also probably forgetting a lot, so let me know if you decide to draw one but want more info. |

Hm, do they have to be Neopets, or can they originally be human? If these requests haven't booked you already, then perhaps I can offer up my boy, Jonathon :3 The best references I can offer are the comics he's been in so far, but here's also a panel from a WIP and a color reference, since I know you love color  Appearance-wise, he's 6'6" and has styled black hair and eyeliner. He wears multiple layers of dark clothing, usually baggy. If you want to play around with outfits, he'll wear anything that a wannabe emo would wear He also often carries around his Wand of Ultranova and has been heavily trained in combat with it. Personality-wise he's extremely shy and is devoid of most social skills. When around others, he often looks to the ground and shrinks back as much as he can, basically folding in on himself to hide in the backdrop. When he's around his friends or family, though, he has a much more relaxed demeanor, although he's still quiet. He's also much more confident when practicing magic as he uses that as a means of expression. Again, if you've already gotten enough suggestions, then feel free to ignore this XD |

So it looks like you might have enough requests to keep you busy But I thought I'd post anyway, cos it's a bit different and might happen to take your fancy... I'd be interested to see my characters, Tim and Phil, interacting together as humans. He has a sort of casual charm to him. Tim is probably his closest friend, and Phil likes nothing better than putting him down or teasing him in whatever way possible - all in good fun of course! Tim just tolerates it. Despite all this, Tim's actually quite competent and has rather good self-worth - you just wouldn't know that at first glance. (Oh yeah, and there's a random chick called Marta there as well) Tim looked contemplatively into his tea.
“So what's up?” asked Phil.
Tim released a big pent up breath and launched into the story. He told them of the strange goings-on in Moltara: the depressed mood, the new mayor, the people's fear. He also told them of his suspicion that the Sway were behind it all. “And I guess that could be why I ran into a flock of Crokabeks roosting in the dark cave,” Tim added, “The Sway use them as messengers, don't they?”
“Oh, that makes so much more sense now,” breathed Marta. Tim shot her a quizzical look. “That's why there was a random Crokabek following me here.”
“WHAT?!?” Tim slapped the arms of his chair in shock and sat bolt upright, his heart racing. “Why didn't you say something?!” he exclaimed, hurrying across the room to the window.
Phil raised his eyebrows “Uhh, maybe because she didn't know it was relevant or something, I don't know.”
Tim peered furtively through the curtains, looking for any sign of a Crokabek. Fortunately there was none.
“So what do we do now?” Marta asked Tim.
“I dunno, eat pizza?” Phil chuckled. He was lying on his couch as casually as you please. Tim and Marta were both on edge. They looked at Phil, disbelieving. “I dunno, it just sounds like it's all too much effort if you ask me,” Phil joked.
“But, Phil,” Marta began, “The Moltarans need outside help, don't you see–”
Phil held up his hands in an appeasing gesture, “Calm down, calm down,” he said, “I was only joking.”
Tim grinned at him. But Marta gave Phil a look of disapproval, then dismissed him and turned back to Tim.
“Well,” said Tim, returning to the topic of 'what next', “I think I'm definitely going to have to go back to Moltara and gather some more information.”
“But I'm thinking we shouldn't go 'till tomorrow,” he added, “It'd look pretty suspicious to be creeping around at night time.”
“Well we'd better get a good night's sleep, then,” Phil commented.
“Oh, are you joining us Phil?” asked Tim in mock surprise.
“Yeah, 'course. You think I'm actually going to sit here and do nothing while you guys go off and save the world?” he rolled his eyes at them.
Tim had expected no less. Regardless of what he might say, Phil would always be up for an adventure.
“In the mean time, anyone keen for pizza?” Phil asked hopefully. With him it was always about the food. |

OKAY KIDDOS. SOME WIP SHOTS FOR PART OF THE FIRST BATCH. I think I'm going to draw a big batch of sketches first, and then lineart+color because good lord we all know lineart+coloring takes 5ever. HUEY. So, I'd like to note again: THIS IS NOT THE FINAL PRODUCT. Just some sketches so you guys have something to look at while I take forever to finish them. First up-- Moni ! Surprise, I drew Jeran. With a sword. Wearing his tunic because HAHAHAHAA DRAWING BULKY ARMOR AHAHAHAHA- I tried channeling both "fierce" and "swaggity handsome knight." It uh... ended up making him look disdained. Idk how that happened. Also that line on his face is a guideline, not a nosebleed, I swear. Although if he got it after Lisha punched him in the face because of Duplicity... Next up-- Shinko ! Your brooding magician made me instantly think, "BROODING PROFILE" because that's what all brooding guys do, right? Look broodingly off to the side or something. My head canons are weird. Anyway, I wasn't certain if he had straight or curly hair, but I also needed practice on curly hair, so I kinda went crazy and made him look a weeee bit like Apollo. Was going to also jokingly draw a quiver and bow and a laurel wreath, but ah, that was too much effort for now. LOL! And last for now (still working on the other two): Twillie 's Jonathan! Because I loved him in Blossoms. He was adorable. I tried to make him look shy and sort of shrinking in this one. Idk how emo guys style their hair nowadays, but I decided not to give him that disgusting hair-over-eyes spiky do that I remember them sporting during my youth. I still don't know how to draw styled hair on guys so I'M SORRY. Q.Q I TRIED. Still working on sketches for Rei and Coaster! I love all of Coaster's character descriptions. @.@ I don't know which one to pick yet... SO MANY GOOD CHOICES. Oh, but Reiqua -- is it okay if I only draw one of the two guys? I love both of them and think that the idea of a drawing a noogie is hilarious, but I don't think I have the motivation to draw two in one and rage forever at how the anatomies don't line up, one guy is like way larger than the other, etc. Q.Q But I do want to draw a cheeky Phil! (or maybe I'll change my mind later and draw a shy little Tim... WHATEVER MY MOOD DEEMS, I GUESS) |

And I'm also not exactly sure how the kidz style their hair these days, but it's alright because Jonathon doesn't know either XD He's honestly probably tried every style throughout his teen years anyway, so there's no going wrong! (this all sort of reminds me of his awkward puberty years, actually X3)
