Diana-If I remember correctly, yes, you can still rank up on off days.

While I'm fairly neutral about most of the things you said, Duke, I have to strongly disagree at making the min cap for SoSD 1k - because that means that if you miss once, unless you finished super quick (1003 or 1017), the score is invalid. Make it 700 or 800 or something. Also, I'd prefer to see Slushie Slinger itself changed to be a quicker and less tedious game. Maybe make the first half of the game less of a nightmarish crawl. Unrelated, but can you still rank up on down days like tody? 700 is okay for SOSD too, honestly any score would be fine as long it makes people do all 5 goals (they could even make it 141 as scoring 4 only gets you 140). As for changing the games, if they could, being Slushie Slinger is worth half the points of Yooyuball honestly it should last for only a minue and thirty seconds. Either place a timer in it or makes the pace the customers come in be faster, like every 25 points it increases in level. And yes, you can still rank up today. I myself ranked up two times today (I'm level 16 if anyone is wondering).

With SoSD, I've never felt any inclination to cut the game short because it takes practically the same amount of time to shoot four more goals as it does to move your mouse to the top left corner. And takes less hand movement overall. It's just inertia. But they should close that hole all the same. Agreed wholeheartedly on SS. Thanks! I just hit rank 11, myself. You're quite impressive at 16. ...I've taken to watching b-movies on youtube to entertain myself while slaving through the Cup. Birdemic and Make Some Noise is a great combo.

HAHA wow that neoboard announcement XD
Seriously though I can't see how they suddenly have a magic bullet for identifying cheaters. It's been a problem on Neopets since the site had its first flash game. And also, why would they need to 'keep an eye' on teams. If you can find cheaters, you /know/ they are on all teams right now. You can also freeze anyone score sending on any flash game. Yet that's not being done. Doesn't add up - seems more likely there's just a nerf in the formula applied to MQ/KD.

... Okay. That's an odd way of addressing the elephant in the room.
And that second part of the announcement. It will mean that the cup will be extended by a few more days, but it should be interesting as it means the apparent frontrunner, Maraqua, may not be eventual winner.

Well, I give them props for trying. *shrug* It's the most effort we've seen in terms of these bracket problems for quite a long while.

I was very amused by their announcement, if nothing else.

Oooh, Tyrannia fell to second place and Meridell's first place in our bracket now.
This is getting exciting! The fact that we aren't in first place currently in our bracket.
Can't play today though ... got an exam in 24 hours and I haven't started studying ):

...How did we lose to Altador? If we lose to Faerieland too, Shenkuu is officially doing terribly this year. XD
EDIT: Then again, skimming the results, looks like a lot of the usually low-performing teams are doing really well this year. Everything I know is backwards

Kreludor and Maraqua still appear to be nerfed, whereas all the other teams got... relatively normal scores. Maybe not normal for their team's performance in past years, but I think this might be the first day of results since we've had the daily 'scores' that no one team has gotten over a 10 in anything.

Altador's doing unusually well this season. But we're up against Maraqua today, so... we'll see?

DC's doing pretty poorly this year, which makes me sad. I'm hoping we end up in the top ten.
Been maxing YYB and playing ~200 games of SOSD lately. MSN wouldn't play right for me yesterday, which was a good excuse not to kill my hands.
