"Sort of." she said. They found the bar and Jace within it- talking to a beat up one-winged Eyrie and rather familiar Eyrie. Jace had the zappy stick strapped to his back. Oirdz immediately looked to his weapon. "Please return that to me." "Oh hey." Jace turned around to greet them. "Hey hey, Rith, you're looking different. Hey, I wanna try something- see if this works for you." He unstrapped the zappy stick and handed it to her. She accepted. The Eyrie turned around and regarded Oirdz. "Hi." |

Oirdz immediately looked to his weapon. "Please return that to me." "Oh hey." Jace turned around to greet them. "Hey hey, Rith, you're looking different. Hey, I wanna try something- see if this works for you." He unstrapped the zappy stick and handed it to her. She accepted. The Eyrie turned around and regarded Oirdz. "Hi." The Stick flickered slightly but did not activate. Oirdz looked down at the eyrie, recognizing him. In a manner almost uncharacteristic of him, he bowed his head the the Eyrie and apologized. "I'm truly sorry for any permanent damages I caused to you mentally and physically. If you require compensation I can provide it. Are you well?" He sounded extremely professional. |

"I'm..." the Eyrie stared blankly at Oirdz, unsure how to take the scene in. "I'm, uh, alive. I thought you were going to kill me out there!" they laughed nervously. "You've got good showmanship." Rith switched the zappy stick between her hands, feeling the balance and weight of the weapon. "To be honest I thought I may as well." he straightened up. "Thank you." It was oddly light for it's size. Weighted a little on the end with the zapper. "You may as well? Ahah, what do you mean, buddy? I don't want to take this in a way you don't mean.. You're new here, right? Don't know the languages and customs?" They seemed more nervous than when he had first entered the bar. Rith's eyes smiled as she played with the weapon, twirling it gently around her. Jace watched in amusement, setting his drink aside for the time being. |

What I mean is that I was slightly unprepared to handle certain levels of unusual pain and thus had a moment." He talked as if this was normal conversation. He eyes his weapon. "With what? I heard something about it, but I don't understand what happened," said the Eyrie. Rith sighed and set the weapon down before sitting next to Jace. "I can't drink in this form," she mournfully informed him. "And everything tastes weird, especially dairy. And I was asked by my favorite people to go to his homeworld" she gestured very slightly to Oirdz "and figure out how Scracs can assimilate into their culture without upsetting the nationalists. We ought to go to the planet Aiig and Kraicco are from, mating is easy there because you don't even have to get along." Jace chuckled. "You sound frustrated." "You don't say." She leaned in and whispered to him next. " What happened with the Eyrie? Cazten took them right to the hospital to get the wing reattached." The hospital wouldn't accept him because they don't believe he has the funds to cover the procedure." answered Jace. |

The Eyrie watched Oirdz, scratching his headfeathers. "I sure don't know. On Neopia all the intelligent species are affected by the same diseases. Maybe it's something to do with us? I've heard it's weird to be able to mate with any smart species. I'm not going to spread it to my wife or kids, am I?" " He likely can't." responded Rith. " Oirdz said he'd take care of it, but how would we convince the hospital that a new arrival has funds? They won't accept his word alone." "It is weird. But I have weird traits too. It won't pass down it's not that kind of thing. As long as they cleaned it all off." He paused. "Apologies on the wing." "I was told the bug-looking robot cleaned me and a bunch of others off. No one else was affected, but none of the others were Eyries. About the wing... if you could pay to have it reattached, that would be great. I can't afford it, and the doctors don't work for free." "Oh!" Jace exclaimed suddenly, fishing around in his pocket as he turned to Oirdz. "I picked up your winnings from the match for you." He held out three coins that each claimed to be worth 100 Np. |
