I'm in a Discord server that's ML themed, and I've catching discussion about lots of new episodes for months now, but for whatever reason I just haven't been in the spirit to watch them for a while. I even saw new ones put on Netflix a while ago, but there hasn't been much desire to watch them.
Maybe I just need to wait for when the right mood hits again. It can take some time with me; I've fallen out of shows or creators for as long as a couple of years before getting interested in them again.

Netflix will release 'Season 5' (aka the last 13 episodes of Season 3) on February 1, I think.

Something really cool just came out today, a fan reananimation of the episode Dark Cupid! I've already watched it a handful of times because wow it is chock full of easter eggs, jokes, and just really beautiful animation~ I also got to be a small part of it, doing a shot of animation and helping with some background art, but there's literally hundreds of other artists that were able to come together to make the whole thing happen. It's out on Youtube, although I believe it's blocked in every country but Canada and the US. For those interested and outside of those countries, it's also on Vimeo. But yeah, thought I'd share for anyone that might want to check it out, as it's a really impressive project and tons of fun to watch! |

Especially since it apparently was in production for about 2 years  I only joined in August of last year, and then when I finished my parts kept quiet watch for updates on the discord server (I could’ve taken other shots as they opened, but I knew I wouldn’t have the time for them xD). My shot is at about 17:07, where Dark Cupid grabs an arrow after shaking off the heart candy. For the shot directly after that (him aiming at Ladybug, who’s standing on a statue), I also helped with the background art~ |

That fan animation is awesome. XD I get a kick out of the constantly changing animation and art styles, plus all the jokes and exaggerations the animators threw into their parts. XD

Oh hey, the Miraculous branded Kinder Eggs are back!
My parents surprised me with a giant one today, and inside was a Ladybug figurine that is pretty decent quality, (Much nicer than the regular sized toys.) also a Miraculous logo stamp!

Finally got caught up on Miraculous last night. Spoilers for the end of S4.
So this is what I got out of the ending:
"Oh nOeZ, I lost alllll the Miraculouseses! Whatever will we do for season 5??"
"Season 1 but fighting Miraculous-holding villians instead of Akumas, m'lady!" *shoulderpat*
Also,
Seems they've done everything short of outright saying "Felix and Adrien are sentimonsters" now. XD
The hints have gone from subtext to plain text, though I think there are still ways in which those hints could be explained otherwise, if they really are setting up a bait and switch. Some holes that need filled with information that hasn't been given yet... though right now it's really lookin' like someone is going to be revealed to be a sentimonster in the end. (I have to wonder if they'd really go for an ending where Adrien dies, either as a self-sacrifice or accident relating to his Amok. XP)
Either way, forget the boring 'shipping plotline, this is the drama I want to see!

When I found out that season 6 and 7 were in production I feared that this show would turn into one of those whose story has been fully wrapped up, yet with absurd events and new characters creators still keep the show ongoing. The ending of season 4 gave me hope that season 5 would be good, maybe season 6 would be watchable but I'm not sure about season 7. I loved the ending of season 4. During season 4 Marinette was too perfect, her character development didn't move an inch. So the ending crashed the façade and brought out her humanity. In season 4 I missed a bunch of characters like Cloe, Lila, Nathalie, Kagami. Although I think that Felix is a cliché character, after the ending of season 4 I'm looking forward to what fun twists he will bring in. (I have heard about sentimonster theory but I haven't gone into it.) I wonder if Felix is connected with the villain from "Timetagger". I love Gabriel Agreste/Hawk Moth/ Shadow Moth, he is my idol. (I mean, his persistence to achieve his goal is admirable. He inspires me.) I fear that the ending of season 4 is the culmination for his character. The question is - will he fall from the hand of Ladybug and Chat Noir team or from a new villain?
