Such a Sweetheart! We never had such wonderful school supplies when I was growing up! I just know the kids will be delighted to receive these. Here's a little something for your generosity. Secret Laboratory Map Wait. I didn't think that was between r90 and r99

Now see, I was already hoarding items that Dr. Landelbrot Coincidence Daily asked for. And some of those just so happen to be what Granny Hopbobbin is asking for. So I'm sitting fairly pretty here, I'm in it for the trophy though, not the 'points.
Speaking of those two, their ship name is pretty amusing, Landelbobbin. Cause they both sort of fill the same role of asking and removing items from the site.

Well, it took all day, but I got all my non r90+ items donated and rewards priced in my shop. Not a lot of good stuff, but I did get a 60k book and a 40k negg and a 25k stamp.

I had quite the past few days. First my adventure with Charity Corner and Kau Sorceress Sandals: So after spreading it across for about 3 days (probably a collective 2 days), I spent all 55,766 of my ACX prize points on buying "Kau Sorceress Sandals" and selling them all for around 40k as well as using a batch to try getting something good from Charity Corner. I think we should begin with some math, first with how many Kau Sorceress Sandals I was able to get (as a reminder, Kau Sorceress Sandals were 70 points): 55,766 / 70 = 796 Kau Sorceress Sandals (rounded down to nearest whole) (In addition to that I was able to buy a Meridell Yooyuball (and put it in my Gallery), a Traditional Altadorian Gyro (man, if only they did a food drive instead of a back to school drive...), and the free Dyeworks token. I also decided to redeem my Staff Tourney prizes and just got as many books as I could plus some fodder junk just so the points wouldn't go to waste) Now before I reveal how much I sold them for, as I said I used some to see what I could get from Charity Corner. For every 10 I sold I used 5 so get: 796 / 15 = 53 chances (rounded down to nearest whole) Of those 53 chance I only got 13 items I would consider "worth" it. A lot of the times I either got a cheap r90+ item or another r90+ wearable I just put in my shop and sold for the same price as the Kau Sorceress Sandals (I checked their price and they were always about the same). So here's a lot of my good prizes with their estimated price and my thoughts on it: Welsh Usuki Reject ( 2 mil? That's the lowest on the TP at the moment)( My first try and though I thought it was 7.8 mil, it's still worth a nice amount though prices don't seem that "stable". At first I thought "hey, maybe this is worth doing"... but I think this was just to get me into that false sense of thinking. As I said most of the time I got either cheap stuff or another wearable I just sold (which is still a loss of 4 Kau Sorceress Sandals)) Cenanit Ragamans ( 500k) Rainbow Uni Plushie ( 5 mil? That's the only price I can find on the TP) Tomato Kebab ( 5 mil? That's the only price I can find on the TP) Blushing Bride Quiguki Doll ( )( An item I can find no price for. Not sure if I should feel happy that it probably means I can sell it for a lot or exasperated since I first need to FIND a seller and who knows what they'd want to buy it for) Upside Down Ice Cream ( 500k)( The food that people consider gourmet...) Secret Faerie Diary ( 100k? According to JN)( Now for how much I sold the Kau Sorceress Sandals for this can be considered a "loss" in that way. But since it sells for more than the cheapest r90+ book is selling for at the moment it can be seen worth it that way. In addition I can only find one on the TP with no price so it could be worth more later on) Royal Ice Lolly ( 200k?)( I about break even here *shrugs*. Actually I'm thinking of putting it into my Gallery since it sort of reminds me of King Skarl) Rose Usuki ( 110k)( Another technical loss. I actually got quite a few Usuki/Quiguki stuff so I think I'll need to find a Usuki/Quiguki Collector) Steak Surprise ( 150k)( And remember, a dropped ice cream cone is still worth more. Like above I'm probably going to need to find someone who collects Gourmet food/going for a Gourmet Club trophy) Darigan Lupe Plushie ( 200k)( Broke even, though has a special place in my heart for being a Lupe) Spite Doll ( 2 mil)( D'aww, she's so adorable! Not sure if this would be easy to sell, probably need to find a Collector) Chia Art History ( 525k? Only one had that price, next one with a price is for 700k) No Battle Slices Stamp or Queen Fyora Stamp, but hey I prefer a small gain than a complete loss. So now its time for how much NP I made. Now though I bought 796 Kau Sorceress Sandals, I used a good portion of them. Math time again: 53 chances * 5 items each chance = 265 Kau Sorceress Sandals used 796 - 265 = 531 Kau Sorceress Sandals left Now I sold each Kau Sorceress Sandals for about 40k each. I sold some for more and some for less since I put about half a TP lots, but I think it all comes to around 40k each. So: 531 * 40k = 21.24 mil (And for comparison if had I just sold them all: 796 * 40k 31.84 mil) So yeah, I can't really complain, and that's not counting the other r90+ items I sold or still have. I think I'm done with donating those items to Charity Corner, but I still have more NP to get from this event. BUT I am doing my part, I'm donating plenty of r89 and lower items. That brings me to our next topic, the my thoughts on the Charity Corner Editorial question: So from this week's NT Editorial:
I got to give JS kudos on this, I like the changes they made. The Donation List did make things feel unneedlessly competitive and if you weren't on the list the likelihood getting onto it was very slim so it would actually discourage people from donating. Just basing the trophies and additional prizes on just how many times you donated should be enough to encourage people to donate as much as they can (not to mention promise of an Avatar).
Infact I've been donating a LOT more, way more than last year. While most of it is r89 and below stuff and a lot of the rewards I get back is junk, I'm at least building myself up to a trophy. And it's also sort of interesting seeing what items you get back and seeing all sort of usernames and shops there are. Now I'm probably not going as fast as some people would since I have a system (I'm a bit paranoid so I keep a list of people I buy from and because of that I only buy from shops that has multiple of the item I'm looking to buy), but right now I have over 300 donations so I'm think I'm good if I keep doing at the pace that I am (especially now that I no longer need to focus on the Kau Sorceress Sandals).
Of course this is having one unpredictable result, my SDB is filled with more junk than ever before. I cleaned the thing out several months ago, only had like 15 pages and ready to further sell more coming December... and now it's filled again with junk and is up to 26 pages. *sigh* Going to take a while to sell most of this stuff, I can tell.
Also from here on I'm not going to sell any of my cheap r90+ items. Ever since Charity Corner some people decided not to sell anything but I think that's taking it a bit too far (said the person who just spent all his ACX plot points on an item he complained about shouldn't be in the Prize Shop in the first place thus also making him a hypocrite). Personally for me I think just keeping the r90+ items would both help me clear out my SDB of the junk and if Charity Corner happens again I may have a slight leg up depending on the item she asks for.
So yeah, from here on looks like Charity Corner is going to become a bit more of a casual event for me. For everyone else still buying and donating r90+ items, good luck! May their be a Battle Slices Stamp or Queen Fyora Stamp in your future!

People also forget that just selling the R90 items instead of donating them doesn't have the hassle of possibly having to sell/price a bunch of HTS items in the future. Or having to SSW (or even worse, SW) a bunch of random items from CC everyday to get them to sell, when R90s are selling for a ridiculous amount and are disappearing from shops as fast as codestones. XD But pssh, that's way too easy and boring! gambling is much more fun!

Well, did all of my donations.
I didn't get anything good in the r90 plus category. I would have been better off with the easy 16 mil.

I got one of these from donating too, weirdly enough. I tried to do a quick sale via auctions. First time I put it up for I think something like 1.5M with a 100k bid increment, one hour auction, and it didn't sell. Then I put it up again for one hour for 500k and 100k bid increment, and it sold with just one bid. Maybe you'd get more by putting it on the TP, but I expect a lot of these items will deflate significantly from this event.

The end result is piles of money either way, unless you're hoping for specific items such as stamps or some sort of specific collectibles (which is probably a verrrry high gamble). The only items I actually use on the site are food items and cheap books, anything else generally gets sold or hoarded (read: sold sometime in the future when I can be bothered maybe). I'm all sold out of my high-rarity charity stuff by now and anything marked below r90 doesn't sell nearly as well this time around, what with lack of the ranking list. Well, it's been a few million fairly effortless NP, can't complain.

I definitely like the less user-against-user competitiveness of this Charity Corner event.
... that being said, no matter what happens there's still ugliness to be found in the world. Like that person who just offered 20 np on my book trade. Very ugly, very clearly hoping I accidentally hit the wrong button or that I'm not paying attention to current events.

Good thing you were paying attention. That's always the thing with Neopets, if there's a way to make NP, there's someone exploiting it. People have been putting up lots of cheap r90s armor items (like Boots of Leaping) that sound like clothing and selling them for CC-lot prices :/

Also I just learned something I probably should have learned a while ago: items with r90+ have the following subtitles: "Very Rare" for r90-94 "Ultra Rare" for r95-98 (and 100 for some reason, but that's beside the point) "Super Rare" for r99 Makes going through your SDB much easier if you're keeping an eye out for r90+ items.

Congrats!
The only stamp I've gotten so far is a low rarity one I got from donating junk to pad my count.
