That's a lot of NP  I actually made another 5m or so just from SDB books and I'm not even out yet. <_< But that post last night was something like half an hour after the first shop fill. EDIT: And another 7m between that post and this one. xD |

Soooo I was planning on writing up a moderately detailed analysis of the possible prizes to be gained by donating r90-99 items, versus the NP to be gained by selling them.
Then I just donated 50 Realm of the Water Faerieses instead.
I ended up getting two r99 items with prices unlisted on JN but some vague price history, a bunch of cheap clothes, and a smattering of other stuff.
Then I collected the cheap clothes and did one last donation with those, and got an r99 item with no price history on JN at all.

EDIT: PEOPLE ON THE TP ARE ASKING 100M FOR MAGICAL RAINBOW AISHA PLUSHIES *WHEEEEZE*

But I wasn't expecting my gambling to pay off at all, so this is a shock. |

The enormously big and important problems I run into when clearing out my hoarder-house- I mean, aiding my fellow Neopians in their donation cause:
Clear out a bunch of ultra-rare books, stick 'em in the shop and look up prices.
Apparently this one book doesn't show up on the shopwiz. Jellyneo shows its price history as around 105 000. Okay, stock another book in its stead.

Third book is priced at four million.
I auctioned all of them for twelve hours and will see what happens :'D
(Fraze is not particularly sympathetic to my plights. Can't imagine why.)

Just realized this myself and I'm feeling kinda stupid.
There are r90+ wearables in this year's AC prize shop for like 70 points apiece. If anyone has AC prize points left over, well there's something you could consider spending them on.

That's like 28m at today's going rate for those. Hey, that's still a nice amount! You can get 142 sandels! That's either 28 tries or 5,680,000 NP (if you sell them for 40k each)! Though I'm having no luck selling the ten I put in my shop. I even put a King Hagan in there for 40k to draw in people buying the well known buyers. Guess I need to give it some more time. In the meantime I tried Charity Corner myself and got this: Welsh Usuki Reject Cheapest price on the TP: 7.8 mil First try! I think for ever ten I sell I'm going to donate 5, that way I get the best of both worlds. Sure I might make less NP from it... then again I think the Welsh Usuki Reject alone made up for any loss NP plus more. |

So no Adopt a Neopian, which is nice. Things won't be massively inflating and there's no need for users ahead of NST to torture themselves staying up late or waking up early for midnight NST to avoid the rush.
Maybe the market for r80 and below items will start to develop now that they mentioned the trophies and avatar as being awarded for how much you donate? I have a lot of low rarity books lying around. Guess I'll start using them. Also, I saw some people mentioning a daily thing, so maybe people should buy up low rarity books (or use ones from the BD, as most of the Maraquan prize books are r70-r80) and donate at least one set per day so they can meet a daily participation requirement, if there is one?
Hopefully I can get a good trophy (gold would be ideal because it would match almost all of my other event trophies) but unfortunately we don't know what the criteria are yet.
Also it is a great sign that they took our feedback into consideration regarding the event. I'm not sure if they had someone reading boards or if enough people sent in tickets about it, but whatever they did, it is nice to see they're trying to acknowledge what we like and dislike. With the old TNT staffers out, they really are new at what users expect from events. In this case, I think they found the sweet spot (or at least, a sweeter spot than last year's). While it's difficult to do well, it's actually accessible for people who just want to participate this time around.
