Oirdz: I realize I misspoke. It is based on 'lightness'. Vibrant feathers are prized, but the lighter the shade, the higher on the social scale you are nudged to become. That is why I have stained mine grey. Rith: Okay. And staining your feathers grey is a moral sin?
