Gonna just say it: Rather off-putting that the community manager (as that 100% looks like her Linked In photo) going with "Hip-hop Queen" as her moniker. Kind of surprised someone in charge of being on the pulse of society is going with something so... mm... probably unwise?

It's rather sweet to see so many people refusing to take Droplet off of their staff tournament teams/adding her if she wasn't there before.

It's rather sweet to see so many people refusing to take Droplet off of their staff tournament teams/adding her if she wasn't there before. After this stunt I'm not going to add any JS members onto my team and keep Droplet on my team throughout (though I have a feeling they might replace her with someone else). #DoItForDroplet has sort of become our unofficial rallying cry. Pretty much. While firing TNT made a lot of people angry JS was doing a whole company restructure so sadly they were caught in the crossfire. But Droplet came back after this, was allowed to release a few issues of the Neopian Times for a few weeks, got put on the Staff Tournament... AND then they laid her off even before the Staff Tournament started? If they were planning on laying her off why didn't they do it when she came back? If this was a sudden decision why didn't they wait until the end of the AC? It kind of shows they don't care what's going on with the site. Worse, Droplet came back after maternity leave and has a newborn. JS, a company who is focused on children entertainment games for mainly younger kids, just laid off a mother with a new child. And while I'm angry I have done some thinking and realize that if TNT are just experiencing, how long has this been going on in the JS company before? It makes me want to know which JS staff part of the tourney is just a programmer or part of the support staff (I would say content team but JS made it very clear they don't want any of those around) since they probably have it jut as bad. It's upper management up to the CEO which are doing this for what I can only assume is cost saving measures. I really want to know if they do have plans for Neopets and what those plans are. Like are they going to grow the site at all?

Viacom may have been an angel with one dark wing and one light one. Jumpstart is a fallen angel with the darkest of the darkest wings a.k.a. the Devil.

Legally they couldn't while she was on maternity leave. It seems like they waited until the bare minimum time had passed before they could let her go once she returned.

More spillover from Jumpstaff copying last year's AC coding exactly.

Now that makes me wonder if they're going to also copy the scores of last year's Staff Tournament, especially with at least 3 of the participants gone. Guess we'll found out tomorrow.

They should copy the winner too to troll Kiko Lake /s. You raise a good point though. How long do you think it'll take them to draw a new podium for this year's winners, or re-do trophies for that matter?

They likely won't redo trophies - in fact, you can get one right now, if you like. Visit last year's prize shop and it'll add ACX's trophy to your lookup, a clone of last year's. (Warning, that's likely a glitch so do it at your own risk in case it messes something up in /this/ year's shop)
The podium isn't drawn as such each year either. They take the default pose from the team captain and add the same trophy/medal to each on the same podium scene. Admittedly, someone will have to copy and paste those - but Altador Rising has proved they have at least 1 person who can copy and paste art.
Realistically, the only 'new' things done for the Cup this year were the text previews (the images were reused) in the pre-season, and the heads for the new staff members. Everything else is a copy/paste of last year.

I don't plan on doing it, but I am curious if the trophies are exact clones? Like if someone from HW got theirs, would it say First Place beneath it again?
