Well, I mean, the site's never as fast as it used to be, but usually I can load stuff. I've been trying to post a message on the boards for the past fifteen minutes, because I can't consecutively load a page and then successfully send the message through.

Is it just me, or is the site cripplingly laggy today? Like, can't-load-a-page-most-of-the-time laggy. Yeah, it's been really laggy for the past couple days. But it's also 4th of July weekend so who knows when they'll be able to fix it.  |

Alright.
It is official.
Neopets won't even load for me now. Not on my laptop, not on my phone, not on my 3ds. Urgh, this is getting frustrating!
Ugh, tomorrow can't come soon enough. Neo better get better when the staff returns.

The reason I'm so irked is that I can't imagine traffic is unnaturally high today. If anything, I think it would be less than usual.

If anything, I think it would be less than usual. Happens every weekend, unfortunately. Seems like bot traffic spikes Saturday night and the servers start noping out. That's why we start having lag most Sunday afternoons/evenings. Gradually gets worse the longer it goes on for. But then it looks like JS manage to do something to fix it Sunday night/Monday morning. Not happened this week due to the holiday, I'd guess, so it's gotten to the point where it has killed the site. So it doesn't have to be more traffic, per se, just JS not being there to correct whatever bots do every weekend. |
