I am writing in response to the enquiry lodged by your office into the detainment of a person of interest in the murders of Liou, Alyssa, and Princess Sunshine. You requested confirmation that the Mods had taken into custody one Darra K. Pixie, of 1650 Bloider Lane, Splatterboard; indeed, we can confirm this. At this time, however, we have no more details to share with you.
Peaceably, Oran G. Tiger, Public Relations Coordinator

We have a problem. Suspect arrested in murders was killed in her holding cell by fellow inmates. Not sure why, but the booking officer (WHO HAS BEEN FIRED) didn't put susp. into protective custody, ended up mingled in general population- which was largely populated by those arrested at the ModSquad protest over our inefficiency about the murders and well... long story short, our suspect is now very dead.
Of course this is now a publicity NIGHTMARE because the Journal will not get off our backs (though they did finally fire that headcase Rhya Terr, thank Woo). I obviously would prefer not to have sent this over e-mail but tried your phone probably a dozen times with no answer, and given Ms. Terr's criminal history with hacking voicemails well, didn't feel comfortable leaving a voicemail. And figure this is a secure network...
Long story short, CALL ME BEFORE THIS GETS OUT. WE CANNOT HAVE MORE PEOPLE SNOOPING. I'm sure you know this better than anybody...
