Record Period of Peace Embraces Forum
Everyone Just Gets Along!
SPLATTERBOARD-- Smiles were smiled around the forum today as the Mods announced that the NTWF is currently amidst a period of record peace. Crime has dropped to an all-time low, particularly violent crime like drive-by fishslapping and asploding your enemies."It's been weeks since we've had to ban anybody-- it's great!" said the Mods' public relations coordinator, Tiger, from her home in ModSquad. "We've even seen an unprecedented reduction in spambots. I predict high times of peace ahead for the NTWF!"Ms. Tiger, however, did clam up slightly when pressed about the recent devastating fire at Stalbucks Coffee House, located as 124 Stalberry Lane, Admin Alley, the cause for which has been listed by investigators as "undetermined", but some suspect may have been an arson. Similarly, she rejected whispers of a large, suspicious dog-like creature gallivanting about the town as "nothing more than a campfire story"."Look," said Ms. Tiger, smiling as a deer smiles when faced down by headlights, "this is a writers' forum. When there's nothing exciting going on, people will make up stories. But that's all they are. Insanity? But this is the NTWF! That's normal! Not much. It's kind of cold so I was thinking of just staying in, but then I got bored. Ah yes, the weatherman has been so excited about the cold snap because it makes people tune in to his forecasts! And when people don't want to go out, they stay in and read newspapers. Profitable, I guess. Hah. Maybe I should have been a weatherman instead of a fearsome beat reporter, telling the TRUTH. |

((As an aside guys, do keep cognizant that we'll have 25 people, so please try to keep the pace somewhat reasonable? Insofar as, moderate posts and whatnot. I'd hate for people to get scared off because they come home two hours after the game began and there are already 10 pages. XD Maybe wait until you have numerous people to reply to, for example, or limit your posting to once every 10-20 minutes, or something like that, to try to keep this at an even pace that isn't terrifyingly fast! I would prefer not to have to impose a "posts per page" limit, but if this proves crazy, I might have to. Thank you. <3))

My editor even took out my mention about the rumors of some crazy mafia lurking about, Mafia 1-3 style, because he told me that such a thing crossed the line from speculation into "insanity". Hah. Editors, right? What's up with you guys today? Excuse me, Rhya, but my exact words were that you don't have enough evidence to publicize anything about the existence of a mafia without violating your journalistic integrity. I would appreciate it if you don't make me to look like some sort of loon. Other than that, it's not a bad article. Nice work, even if it is a bit short. I've got a few more pieces to revise this afternoon. Im gonna go grab my lunch, then I'll be in my office at the Journal headquarters if anyone needs me. |
