I'm not much of a visual art guy, but I do like visual impressionism. At least there are clear shapes. But when I see Seurat, mostly I just start singing from Sunday In The Park With George. My point was, you step back and take it in as a whole. Anyway I thought this was to share stuff you love, not critique each other's musical taste. I'm sorry if I came across as rude or snappy. That was not my intention. You'd think I would have learned by now that offhandedness does not work in plaintext. I was simply trying to make an observation about my own tastes, and note that it's actually peculiar that I don't like impressionist music rather than that anyone else does. Again, I apologize.

HAPPY B-DAY! That's Bernstein Day! It's Leonard Bernstein's birthday! If you ever need a lift, I suggest you watch a video of Bernstein conducting. It is just so much fun to watch him conduct! I wish I could have seen him live. I don't tend to pay too much attention to the styles of individual conductors, but Bernstein is just something else entirely. Here he is playing Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue, and here conducting the Symphonic Dances from West Side Story. He was also a great speaker and music educator!

Oh, have you all heard the Piano Guys version of the Jurassic Park theme? So amazing.
