So do you know Word War? This will function in a similar way, but with some variations. Lizica and I were talking last night, and we were discussing something like word wars, but for things that don't necessarily have to do with writing or word count. Productivity can apply to anything that you need to get done, such as homework or something you need for work or any miscellaneous projects. The basic gist of what you do is either get a group or a partner, and set a specific time frame in which you will all work non-stop at the thing you want to work on. This will help heighten productivity for everyone! Since I'm keeping "productivity" broad, each person will decide on their own what they want to do, and if they wish, how much they want to do. (Ex: Person A has 20 math problems to complete, and they want to complete 10 of them in 10 minutes. Person B has 5 difficult problems to complete, and they want to get through half of one of them in 10 minutes. Person C really wants to get their model popsicle stick house done, and so they may want to complete the roof in 10 minutes. Person D just wants to make some progress on a piece of homework and doesn't set an expectation, and just works on the homework for the whole 10 minutes.) At the end of the time period, they can report their progress. The results may be harder to compare than Word Wars, but it's all subjective, and more about how much progress you've made on something! (If you have any suggestions on how to improve this system, feel free to state them.) For now, if anyone wants to try one, I'm around for a while.

This is an awesome idea! I was kind of interested in the concept of Word War except I don't write (or at least seldom write), so this is probably exactly what I needed. 8D
I have about six* four hours to spend on something today, so if anyone's around, I'd like to see if I can get a character made (if not rigged or material'd).
*...got distracted by TV Tropes

I'm planning to go to dinner in a bit, but I can spare half an hour before then to do some of my math homework if you're up for playing right now. ^^ Start at 20 minutes after the hour, Coaster?

Sounds good, Gelquie. ...Uhh, what's the measure of winning/success, if any? xD

Sounds good, Gelquie. ...Uhh, what's the measure of winning/success, if any? xD Not a hard and fast measurement; just how much you manage to get done in that time. I couldn't think of a way for it to not be subjective. xD *Gets to working.*

*And returns!* I managed to polish 3 problems, finished two of them, and started one of them. I basically have 4 problems left on this homework assignment now compared to when I started. Less productive than I wanted, but I got some work done. ^^ And now dinnertime. But I'll be back later.

Meanwhile, I completely forgot going into this that Kyriis have really weird proportions and I had struggled with that even the first time. xD Nonetheless, managed to get a bit of work done on the basic blocky body.

I could really do with a hand in getting some of the mass of reading/note taking/other stuff I have to do over the next few days to catch up - so if anyone has stuff they need to do, I'm around most of the day.

I want to finish a poem--but well, not quickly, so I suppose this is my kind of thread. =D *settles in* Yep. Nice and comfy.

Well, I need to get through 230 pages of a book tonight but my attention keeps wavering...I read, you write poetry? For 30 minutes on the hour. How does that sound?
I'm going to aim for...50 pages in a half hour....which means I'm way too optimistic about the speed of my reading xD

....man we need to tag each other with these things, ♥ Lulu. I'd actually forgotten about my task in that time. *hangs head* This is harder than it looks. But yes that sounds like a good arrangement. ^^; EDIT: Ended up finishing in Word war. WELP. I have some other things to do though if you guys are down for that.

RISE, MY THREAD!
For I have tasks I need to accomplish and don't want to take up group IMs doing so!
Basically, I have a thesis deadline coming up and I don't particularly want to miss it, but there is so much to do and it can be hard to get motivated, so I could use all the help I could get! So if more people make use of this thread while I'm awake, I can jump on the opportunity and force myself.
(Or if Real Life is a thing (as it is now), I can focus on that and get it over with, and get the push for that too.)
Anyway, I revived the thread, so. Anyone up for it?

Celestial - Excellent! Unfortunately, I kinda need to work on some RL stuff right now. I'll probably be looking up auto recovery stuff and finding out how much my insurance can cover, then seeing if I can get my car to a place. "Start" at :40 for 20 minutes? (I'll probably start sooner, but won't count progress for this thread until that time.)
