Me: I should do an art dump, it's been a little while. Brain: =D .... OR, if you DON'T do an art dump, you can finish all those OTHER NTWF art things and post them ALL TOGETHER, and-- Me: *smacks Brain* This is why the last one was so huge and almost a year after the one before, shush, you >O Anyway, a bunch of stuff back from my Artober list, and some other odds and ends so they can be in one place. ^^ I hope you enjoy something in here. xP (Potential major spoilers for Medieval, Naelus, Wrighton, and Hero City/Madge Fic, you know the drill.) Have a silly very-not-really-canon sketchy three-parter about if Madge got kidnapped by Espin. If we did actually write this, I'm sure it wouldn't be quite so one-sided, but Rule of Funny wanted this. XD (Also, disclaimer up front that I don't really like how Espin came out here--something about his face just really doesn't jibe with my mental image of him. Maybe I'll try again another time. xD) Follow-up, featuring Jeremy and his apartment. Again, not canon, but Rule of Funny demanded this, too. (Nyx is playing a Nintendo Switch. xD) Our nice Madge fic epilogue-y comic where Jeremy is a bit better appreciated (even if he's still trying to keep it low key). ^^ While we're in the Madge fic territory--ever hear a song and are immediately like, "I gotta sketch this character jumping from an explosion armed with their incendiary weapon"? Yeah. (Also wielding her cash box.) It's a beautiful day in Aifam Cove, and you are a horrible, despIcablE, traiTorOUS, CoNNIVING, CAMERA-STEALING LITTLE-- *shamelessly reuses the same pre-spoilerbox comment* A team-up between Webster and the Untitled Goose really would be a magnificent, horrible thing. =D Small comic with Maia! (And yeah, as I said in the Artober thread, I literally ran the script by Avery in 2015, and it's been on my to-do list ever since, until last year. XD *waves small flag*) Been meaning to draw something like this for awhile! I have a tendency to draw my NTWF characters always with the same hairstyles and such, so I wanted to try drawing them in situations where their hair would be different. (With many rambles~) Aldrich - To be honest, I don't really know how beards work. XD Aldrich's "hint of a beard" was always more of a design choice than a character thing (potentially symbolically indicative how how he'd never really come into his own at the start of the story and such, or maybe just potentially inspired by Linguini's little hint of a beard in Ratatouille?). Anyway, at the time, I never really quite fully figured out if Aldrich's stubble meant that he wanted to grow a beard but never was able, or if he was always trying to stay clean-shaven but never had time to shave. But when you think about, the bird sculptures getting stuck in a full beard would be a pretty major pain, so trying to stay trim would definitely be the smarter option, so we'll probably go with that. XD Piper - Probably just got clobbered by a wave in another failed Webster photo attempt. xP Tracy - You do have to take off your hat in order to comb your hair, but you can't comb your hair utterly unprotected from aliens, are you insane. Okay but yeah, I confess that Tracy's hair was always sort of based on my own hair. XD Or more accurately, inspired by my hair in high school/early college when it was always poofy and frizzy and ungainly because I thought that different shampoo styles were just a dumb marketing scam, so I just always used the shampoo that I thought smelled the nicest--which of the kinds we had, happened to be the big volumizing kind, whoops. I wonder if Tracy might have similar skeptical thoughts about shampoo/conditioner gimmicks. XD Well, she also has more important things to care about than hair, I'm sure. Hannah - Possibly dressed up nice for a relative's wedding? And you thought small talk with relatives was hard before. 8D;;; Oh gads, how do you explain that yes, I'm still single, auntie, yes, I've got a job now, no, yes, it's a real legit job, no, it is, no, really, it's a--oh cripes, how do I explain that I help navigate an alien spaceship and get paid by centuries-old bank interest, oh gads, what is my life--no, auntie, I haven't met the random well-to-do single dude in the corner by the bar yet, please don't make me go over there-- @___@;;; Madge - I actually have drawn Madge and Joan with different hairdos before, but they wanted to be included. xP Madge in generic superhero gear/superhero-we-haven't-seen gear! Also, just gotta say this again, but the mere idea of the sheer comedic and narrative potential in a superhero convention happening in Heraclia brings me such joy. XD Like, just picture the glorious confusion and antics that could ensue. 8D Joan - Flower-print shirt day at work? Or something? Why not? This is basically the plot of Naelus, right? That's a cardboard box full of the natives of Naelus, if it's not obvious. Also, LEGO bricks on the floor as a deterrent and defense system, instead of mist. xP Just a marker drawing of Bek, because I want to attempt coloring her digitally sometime. Secret Santa drawing for Twillie! =D I got the idea to draw the Monopoly meme while catching up on your comics, and I immediately got the biggest, dumbest grin on my face whenever I thought about it, and I was like, "This is such a super dumb idea, someone needs to stop me"--...but of course, no one was there to stop me. XP (I also admit that a large motivator was that I really, really wanted to draw Liz and Bloody Mary with sunglasses. XD) (I apologize for Jonathan, though, because I had no idea how to draw his hair from that angle, even with all your great references. XDD Thank you, Twillie, for having so many great characters and references! <3) Quick marker doodles are fun because sometimes you can get some really great, spontaneous, dynamic lines. And also if you make a mistake, it's too late, you're being messy, that's just how it is, too bad, roll with it, #YOLO, we're scrawling and havin' a good time Aldrich and Babewyn at the cliff Joan in a brochure swirl, as you do Hannah hanging onto the flamingo as they swing down a vine screaming. Context? What's that? I sure as heck don't have it.

It's an art post that's ALL GOOSE-RELATED, WHAAAT xD (As an aside, I'm really glad that I got to play the Untitled Goose Game when I was visiting my brother back in 2019, because not only was it really fun, but it's also, like, so rare that I feel in the loop about popular video game meme things. XD)Anyway, for posterity for myself or for anyone curious about what the heck this is-- Last year, Liou made some inspiring comments about the goose from the Untitled Goose Game in the April Showers town of Uffnewt, and I also had had "Beautiful Day" on my art to-do list (which may have always been Piper and the goose, I literally cannot remember??), and these eventually led to my drawing both the flamingo and Piper with the goose (see previous art dumps). (Thank you, Liou!!) And then earlier this year or late last year, I decided, yeah! I like that signature size I made, I could put something like that in my signature for a bit, for funsies. ...But maybe I also had secret plans to gradually add even more characters onto it. >8D Because it was really fun to imagine how the goose would bother other characters, and trying to imitate/adapt the game's style a little was kinda fun, too. So, here we have a sequence of goose atrocities, made over these past couple months and updated slowly. (Sorry for the inconsistent distances between characters. xD) Starting with Piper, because that way we get our Goose-Webster alliance right out of the gate. 8D Bring in the flamingo! Oh, the glorious chaos a goose with a magic staff could get up to. ANYONE WHO TRIES TO STEAL MADGE'S CASH BOX IS NO CUSTOMER OF HERS Tracy's trusty old radio is probably blaring out a different annoying radio station every time the goose jostles it. The goose can go after people's hats?? Now Tracy is a low key mixture of concerned, grateful, and fearful. In which I very belatedly decide that no, I DO want to include Ms. Rickshaw after all, because she was my very first NTWF RP character, and I'll mess up my recent pattern of putting the newer characters on the right, in order for her to join in with her cast iron wok to retrieve those stolen library pages. Not the giaNT baLL OF YarN, YoU MOnSTeR. YOU MONSTERRRR Woo! =D Anyway, because I am self-indulgent and also needed a new desktop wallpaper, I made a proper large size. I made it extra large because I realized that this is actually a pretty decent color reference for most of these characters, since for many of them, I literally have never fully colored them before. XD (With lots of rambling~) Weeee \ o / From left to right: Webster (Mafia 3), our lovely horrible goose, the flamingo (April Showers), Piper (Mafia 3), Aldrich (Medieval), Madge (Hero City), Ms. Rickshaw (Mafia 1), Tracy (Mafia 2), Hannah (Wrighton), Verso & Recto (Naelus), and Joan (Town). - ...Well, it's a decent color ref for most of them, except for Aldrich, who I still had to douse in a layer of dust before he even got anywhere near looking like himself. He was probably one of the hardest characters to pseudo-adapt to the game style, because of the dust and because he was the first of the update set; but also because he has short hair, and I was trying to avoid giving the characters ears to get a more minimalist style. ((Although I literally only realized JUST NOW WHILE I'M TYPING THIS that I gave Piper an ear, and that inconsistency is going to bother me to no end now. X'D)) ...Anyway, if you'd like a color ref of Aldrich minus the magic dust, I've turned off the relevant dust layers on that one older piece here. But be warned because seeing Aldrich without dust somehow feels mildly cursed to me. XD - (I think I also slightly tweaked some of the colors in Piper's shirt so they wouldn't be as pronounced, but that feels pretty nitpicky of me in retrospect. xD ( Piper's original avatar)) - Trying to keep it minimalist was sometimes a struggle. I had alternate versions of Madge's lasers, Tracy's hat, Joan's hair, and the ball of yarn that were just Way Too Detailed, alas. XD - Things from the sketch stage that did not translate into the style: a shaky word bubble from Hannah that just says wheeze, plus Joan s c r e a m i n g. - I was aware that the game's art style also probably intended for the one oval on people's faces to be their nose, but for me personally, ever since I was little (dating back to at least Dogbert in the Dilbert comic strip), it just takes tremendous brain energy for me to be able to NOT see the ovals as mouths instead. XD So I drew them more in mouth-placement than nose-placement. - Again, my first time fully coloring several of these characters, and definitely the first time they've been in color next to each other. Apparently this means that if Lizica signs up for a mafia-style game with a blonde lady wearing blue jeans, you better watch out. Also, here, have all the different goose versions. Yeah, I actually did draw each goose individually from different pencil sketches, except for Radio!Goose, which is derived from Camera Case!Goose, but spruced up slightly because I had a better handle on how I wanted the eye and beak to look by that point. The most difficult one was definitely Loose Thread!Goose, because asddfghkl, how do wings in this style with no lineart @_@ Annnd so that's all the goose versions and all of my main characters from most of the main NTWF games I've played! =D Part of me wants to continue on and add more secondary characters and such, but uhhhh, I dunno, we'll see. xD But for now, at least, you can have some doodles and drawings I did alongside the colored series. XD I did actually strongly consider adding Babewyn alongside Webster and the goose when I added Aldrich, but ultimately decided that it might set a dangerous precedent that could overwhelm me with adding too many characters, or could overly unbalance the original "crowd chasing after goose" composition I wanted. xD But make no mistake, Babewyn would have a great time hanging out with Webster and the goose. xD The goose may've gotten on the flamingo's bad side, but Iris and Holiday would probably love them. Hey, I've never drawn the giant ball of yarn before, I should get a good mental image of how big it is against the humans... *Joan furiously lecturing a goose over the Indiana Jones music about the historical importance of the giant ball of yarn* (I actually didn't initially plan for Joan to be paired with the giant ball of yarn. I first only drew Aldrich, Madge, Tracy, and Hannah, and kinda vaguely tossed around ideas for others while I worked on them. My first thought was actually that maybe Joan would really enjoy advertising for the goose as if their antics were an attraction in their own right--like, maybe Joan would trail at the back of the line touting coupons and brochures while wearing one of those human sandwich billboard things to come see this amazing goose!...But then out of nowhere, I suddenly got the idea about the goose unraveling the giant ball of yarn (which miraculously evaded being vandalized during the entire game), and I was immediately like, "Yes. YES. YEEEESSSSS. 8DDD ...Or, wait, is that maybe too egregious? Hm. ... ... ... HECK NAH, LET'S DO IT. 8D") This doodlecomic is my apology to Verso and Recto for not giving them their own separate update to the signature saga. xD Basically, the only objects that I could think of that the goose might steal from them were the devotee's tear or one of Svar's pearls, and to be honest, they were too small and just not interesting enough to me for this. It was a ton more fun to instead have the goose's mission for V&R be something else, like simply getting them to argue to help spread the chaos, and V&R are clumsy enough that they'd easily get tangled up in the loose yarn. (If you can't read the goose's to-do list in the last panel, it's "steal a radio, wear an explorer's hat, steal library secrets, get the two-headed dragon to argue.") Thanks for all the inspiration and encouragement, you all! <33 I had so much fun with this silly project. XDD

Hiya! Maybe a comparatively smaller art dump today (though with lots of rambling), because I was tired of hoarding some of these. xP Potential spoilers for Mafia III, Town, and Madge fic. Let's start with TABLETOP FAIRIES. \ o / Or, some characters from Pixie's Costume Fairy Adventures game back in April! Here's Flo, my kleptomaniac fairy who just has to collect shiny things to add to her stash. =D Her wings are based on firefly wings. (If I did something more detailed, I'd probably try to clarify her hair more, since in the sketch, her hair design kind of defaulted to this thread's title. xP) And the game's epilogue, where we met up to toast our success with High (oil) Tea at a shop for clockwork ladies. Starring from left to right: Nymph the sprite (Ginz), Libby the brownie (June), Maia the goblin (Riel), Flo the pixie (me), and in the background, Lucre (Pixie)! Just look at the awesome characters everyone made!! (Someday I’d like to draw our characters from Heavy Metal Thunder Mice, too, but the further from the game date we get, the trickier the motivation. But we’ll see, muses are unpredictable sometimes.) I got sucked down the nostalgic rabbit hole that is re-reading bits of old RPs a short while back, and at some point, the thought crossed my mind that I've never really drawn Piper...smiling? (Or, well, smiling canonically. Apparently I've drawn her smiling twice before, but in non-canonical situations.) Anyway, I wanted to draw a situation in which Piper would be genuinely grinning. And hmm, when does that happen in the game? I know--the epilogue. >D HEY JUAN, HAVE YOU HAD BREAKFAST YET? I RECOMMEND THE SAND TODAYAlso!! Not art, but on the topic of Mafia III, as you may or probably may not remember, Piper was partially inspired by the song "Boudreaux Was A Nutcase" by the Austin Lounge Lizards. I shared the lyrics way back then because it was the best I could do at the time, but I checked on a whim, and!! They finally have the song on YouTube and I can share it properly!! 8DDD Here it is! *air fiddles wildly* Minor rambles about it: We used to listen to this album on road trips when I was little. For a long time, I had always taken the line "and the stronger of the two survived" to mean that Boudreaux was the one who survived the encounter, because he had pursued his goal in spite of the village people mocking him; but mostly because, though it may be hard to tell just from written lyrics, the song's "flip, floppin'" lines at the end get progressively slower and slower like a dying fish. So from that angle, it's achieving his goal of catching Moby Jack that makes Boudreaux "sorry that he got his wish," because what else is left for him after that?
It wasn't until literal years later that the line "his ghost is still there fishing" caught my attention, and I realized that maybe Moby Jack was the "stronger of the two" who survived, because what a ridiculous, pitifully prideful goal it is in the first place to dedicate your whole life to obsessively catching a single fish. (...Plus Boudreaux being described as a generally horrible person. Plus all the talk of Moby Jack being physically strong enough to eat people. x'D)
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that both of these interpretations could potentially be true for this song, and both informed how I wrote Piper.
((Also, to this day I am disproportionately pleased by how well "Boudreaux swore he'd mount him on his wall" translates into photography as well.)) On a related note, I saw the film Moby Dick (1956) for the first time this past June! I've admittedly never read the book, and most of my knowledge of it has come through pop culture osmosis. xD Watching the movie made me realize there were a lot of famous lines that I'd heard but never knew where they originated. ...All of that is to say that although I only got the idea to draw this this past month, I feel like it's been a long time coming. XD Did Piper always have a pen tablet to touch up her photos? Well, she does now apparently, because she desperately needed something to wield in rage at her computer. (Where there's probably a dark, blurry, furiously inadequate photo of Webster's right half, or something. xP) Anyway, a messy doodle of the only logical follow-up to that pose: Ms. Rickshaw for Mafia I's tenth anniversary!!! \ o / \ o / \ o / While looking for music to draw the thing below this one, I stumbled across a song that reminded me of Joan instead. In the same vein as my wanting to draw Piper with an expression she doesn't usually wear, the song made me want to draw Joan in a serious and dramatic way. I tend to draw Joan mostly as her perky, excitable self that will steamroller you with funny tourism, but like...she very much did have something of a mental breakdown during the latter part of the game when her friends were dying and buildings were burning. That was...a pretty major thing that happened. ='D So here's Joan grappling with the enormity of what's happening and the responsibility of the mission she's been left with. (I don't think I really hit the sweet spot of nailing the emotions quite right, because I feel like if you saw this without context, you'd likely assume that the dirty person in the foreground wearing a bathrobe and holding a gun was the one who started the fire. x'D Oh well. I still like it.) (Pssssst....hey, you. =o If you like drawing prompts--is there a character that you tend to draw mostly with a certain emotion? Draw them in a situation where they'd feel very differently!)So next up, remember the Character Prompts and Questions thread? Awhile back, PFA asked, What do your characters think of logic puzzles, like crosswords or Sudoku? Are they good with them? Do they find them a waste of time? I probably could have answered with a normal, short description for these two characters, but my muse absolutely punched aside the very idea and flung this insane mental image in my face instead. X'D What made the Rubik's Cube explode? Heck if I know. I guess I'm just not resourceful enough. Madge sees your problems and substitutes/creates her own(You hopefully can't tell because I edited out the eraser ghosts in panel 2 on the computer, but that pitching pose took me way longer than it should have. XD) And boy, drawing hands suuuure would be easier if I would just stop trying to draw them at quarter-inch sizes. 8IAnyway, have my little planning doodle of Tricia in casual wear, too~ Why is Tricia spending her off-duty hours solving Rubik's Cubes with Madge on a random rooftop that's high enough to make it safe to throw explosives in midair? Heck if I know that either. XD How much do we care about canon in this thread?

*kicks open door* I HAVE FINISHED THE THING!!! ...The Thing? you ask, glancing up from your tabloid and Neopian Times. What Thing? THE THING! I cry, flinging a finger in the air. Original sketch drawn in 2018! That part kindly beta-tested by Ginz and Gelquie later that year (thank you!)! Procrastinated on and on the back burner for years! Often motivated by Spring Cleaning, where it was (notoriously to me) known as "Soft Glow!" Broke my drawing program at least once! Has been saved so many times that it no longer shows up in order when I sort my folder by most recently modified, and I have to make a conscientious effort to remember to find it when I back up my files! ...So...what is the Thing? you ask again, not sure what to make of that long paragraph. The Thing!!! I repeat, still out of breath. And with a flourish, I slam a spoilerbox onto your desk. I wheeze triumphantly: The Wrighton poster!!!aaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaAAAaAAAAAAaAAAaaaaaaAA ;w; It's actually done, I really hope you all like it, aaaaaaa?? *deep breath* Okay. Okay, anyway. So. x'D HUGE apologies in advance because I have SO much rambling and stuff to share about this monster. But first thing first! If you'd like to solve the maze, you don't need to burn your eyes staring at the glowy version above--I made some plainer versions below for you. =D But before that, two things: First, your goal is not to just get to the center of the maze. Your goal here is to get to the center, and then also find a different way back out. Second, there's a *~secret message~* hidden in the puzzle, so I recommend using a thick line to do the maze. >D (As a warning, the good folks who beta-tested for me confirm that the secret message is probably easier to get with roleplay context. xD) Maze solution here: The hidden message may be a little tough to tell, even if you trace the path. Any last guesses? Alrighty, here you go: It's HOME! <3 The little Art/English major in me was SO EXCITED when I first thought of this puzzle concept for a Wrighton poster. xD The characters also have to first get to the heart of the mystery, and then find a new, different way out; and along the way, what they found was home. <3 (And personal side bonus because of my ancestor character, Bek, whose native language was all about conveying meaning by moving/dancing and making paths. Where does the trip go? What is the journey trying to say? Home, is what it literally says in the end.) Alright, where to start with the rest of the poster now? xD How 'bout this: The unwitting prophecy of this thread title has been fulfilled!! 8D I can now say, well and truly, that I. have drawn. Squiggles.*puts on sunglasses* YEEEAAAAAHHHH*cough cough* ...Anyway, yeah, I think it should come as no surprise that it was those symbols that took freakin’ F O R E V E R. XDD;; So let's talk about hellsquiggles! Basically, I started with original symbols from the RP, traced and remade those, then moved them around to fit the space better, and then I filled in all the space surrounding them with new squiggles. I tried to hunt down and include as many preexisting symbols as I could. You'll find squiggles here originally done by Hunty, June, and Rabbit! (And a couple from me, too.) Thank you for your alien contributions! *salute* These aren't all in the same place that they eventually ended up in the final poster, and a couple of the vaguer ones I ended up not using, but I like being able to see this layer here, both as a contrast and because some of the original images aren't image hosted anymore. And it's mostly the same in the poster, but I still want to show off the completed squiggles by themselves again. xD And who knows? If for some reason you ever need a cleaner version of the Aft Starboard squiggle, I gotchu covered. Behold! The layer of my suffering!! Best viewed on a non-white background.(Ignore that one symbol I added to fill a hole only after I started fiddling with the opacity. xD) After awhile, working on squiggles became very "Hmmm, what shape does this empty space want to host? Is this a circle space, a line space? What does the empty space want to do? Alright, that new symbol I just made left another empty space after I finished it, so what does the new empty space want to do there?" And repeat and repeat until I filled in the gaps. There's also an element of this squiggle layer having little pockets of time capsules. Like, at some point, I stopped second-guessing past squiggles (unless they really felt off), and largely left each bunch as I had liked it the day I drew them. Also, please appreciate how for literal years, I was like, "Oh, there won't be any room for my ET initial-logo on this poster, so I guess I won't have it in this one," right up until this last month as I was finishing the bottom part, and had the revelation that, "Wait, no! Make the initial-logo one of the squiggles! Duh. XD"(Oh, also, side note-- I am not knowledgeable about all the symbols in the entire world, so if you're looking at my squiggles and happen to see something that actually means something in another context (especially if it's very negative), PLEASE let me know. x'D) Awhile back (maybe 2020?), I suddenly realized that the poster would...actually probably look good plain, even without all the squiggles. xD But of course, that late in the process, I couldn't NOT use the squiggles after working on them for years on and off (emphasis on "off"), so I was committed to finishing them. Eventually. XD Some part of me does like the simplicity better, if I'm honest, even though I knew the squiggles would look cool when I finally finished them, too. XD ....Oh yeah, and I haven't even rambled about the text and fonts, have I? Have a ramble about fonts and credits! As ever, please, please don't hesitate to let me know if you're uncomfortable in any way with how you or your character is credited, and I'll be happy to change it! ^^ The big font used for "WRIGHTON" is called "Schizcase." I had another Art/English major squee when I found it, because like. Look at it?? A single letter, in its wholeness, is simultaneously BOTH uppercase AND lowercase. And bonus, the doubling letters sometimes also mirror the maze corridors and the background's many concentric circles.
(The font for the tagline and subheading is "Orator std." The credits are "Movie Poster.")
I had multiple versions of the credits before settling on these. xD They were surprisingly tricky to write for a game like Wrighton, where a bulk of the action is all in the tunnels where everyone is exploring. Here's one old line of credits I still kinda like, but I liked the final version better.
Anyway, I hope you all like how you and your characters are listed!! You're all awesome. <3 I enjoyed skim-reading bits of the RP to figure out the credits, and you're all such stellar writers. <3 ... *stares at all the rambling above* ...Do I have more to add to this? I'm blanking. I'm just very aaaaa about finishing this after so long?? Now what major art project is gonna hang over my head, whining for me to stop procrastinating? xD Anyway...I really hope you all like it. ;w; Thank you for so much good inspiration. <333
Putting a full horizontal rule line. xD Time to switch out of poster mode. Next, then, have a couple other Wrighton things! ^^ Back when the Wrighton RP was going on, we talked about how sad the story of the original ancestors was, how awful it was that this disaster happened to them and tore them apart, and how additionally awful it was that they were forced to live the last of their physical living days not even knowing what they had lost. But--I would like to offer to that old discussion a possible Nice End for them. (Special shoutout to the bittersweet " Somewhere" by Pascal Pinon for inspiring me to actually get to drawing this instead of leaving the comic script to molder in my files.) I'm not sure who the speaker of this comic is. ^^ I'll let you decide for yourself. ...Also, I'm sorry their wardrobe is very same-y and bland. I had no idea what to do with their clothes, and didn't want to make it too distinct or distracting. XD Ramble about the sky~ When I started, I just wanted silhouettes, and pointedly didn't want a lot of shading/grey texture. But since there needed to be some contrast and balance, I fully inked not just the people, but also the sky and the river. As I inked my way down the panels, though, I realized that this decision was kind of thematically loaded: In a way, the people are made of the same stuff as the sky beyond, and the perpetually moving river. Additionally, as I was working on it, having the same things filled in black every panel felt sort of repetitive and stagnant. xD So after some deliberation, I finally brought in the sun proper near the end, and had the starry sky mix in with the open sunny sky. I hope that instead of looking weird, it sorta conveys that as the people slowly became more comfortable in this place, their unknown past began to mingle with the present. They themselves and the stars they used to know have begun to make space for seeing and caring for their new world right here. Have a sketchy Hannah, as well! I'm sorry if this feels OOC for Dion and Beatrice at all. x'D I hope you get a kick out of it anyway, Thorn, June! <3 To keep up motivation for the Wrighton poster, I occasionally reread my favorite bits of the RP. Kind of noticed how much I maybe overused that one quotation. xD I don't regret it because it was a really important line for Hannah's development, but yeah, it was definitely there a lot. xP
That's all my new stuff for now! Whew. xD But it's been so long since I've posted here, I'll also crosspost most of the stuff I drew during last year's Artober. (Wow, that was...*checks watch*...seven months ago? Haha. Ha. X'D) Anyway, our magical girl AU, featuring our heroes Tracy and Dove~ (designs by Liou and Robyn respectively!) FEAR THE SPARKLE, WRONGDOERS <3 Piper in a very cold and impractical photography blind And fantasy!Joan! I think I had more fun with this than I'd had with drawing anything in a long time. XD Like, it was SO MUCH FUN that at least once I immediately went to my desk to draw more right after breakfast. Maybe at some point, I'll draw this design again and color it? 8D Hmm. The chibi design prep At some point, I still want to do some more NTWFtober prompts, because there were a few more that looked really fun! And finally, crossposting some cacti and a magical oasis from Pixie's and my April Showers Trick-or-Treat house! And...yup. Oh man. xD Thank you for weathering this post with me. <3 I'm sorry it's so crazy long. XD I hope you enjoyed something in it, though!! Thanks for everything. <333

aaaaa
aaaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaAAAAAAAAAA
This is just magnificent, I'm at a loss for words. The squiggles and the maze and the hidden message and the squiggles and the quote at the top and the credits at the bottom and the squiggles
aaaaaaaaa
Thank you so much for making this. I have some missing classes today so I was at home making breakfast for my smol when I saw you posted this, and I had to read it in small pieces because it was just too much to take in all at once. Then I told Hunty about it, and 5 minutes later she came back out being all "OK but what if..." and then we started picking the best place to hang the poster on the wall.
And that comic is just so beautiful, it really captures what we wanted to convey with the memorywiped ancestors.
I'm so grateful to have wonderful creations like these commemorating Wrighton.
Do you have a superultrafullsize version of the poster, by any chance? For, you know. Purposes.

What he said xD Especially the part regarding a suitably fullsize version of the magnificence, pretty please with a pancake ship on top?
If it makes you feel any better about the extended-period-of-squiggly-pain, while the non-squiggly poster looks all sleek and stylish, I think the squiggles are very much what make the poster. They almost look understated at first, compared to the Big Glowy in the center, but ultimately the eye is drawn to them and I like the way they convey the feel of towering - like you're standing in a dim tunnel and they surround you on all sides, which is what the characters would've been seeing and which didn't really get this sort of artistic representation before. It feels alien, but not in a threatening way.
Also, I'm loving that comic, both for the story (they really did have a nice end, just in a twisty alien masterplan sort of way) and the feel it conveys. Also, it's weirdly impressive that Scip still manages to acquire new layers of woobie five years after the end of the roleplay xD

Having come back to it (and oh I am going to keep coming back to it), I have a few cool thematic observations! First of all, I really liked how you ringed the maze with the symbols from the Command Center puzzle. Not only is it a nice reference to our favorite Sixteen, but that was also the puzzle that finally unlocked everyone's memories. So having them surround the central symbol that leads everyone to Home is very fitting. (Also that was like my puzzle magnum opus and I'm still proud of it five years later.) Also, this part: After awhile, working on squiggles became very "Hmmm, what shape does this empty space want to host? Is this a circle space, a line space? What does the empty space want to do? Alright, that new symbol I just made left another empty space after I finished it, so what does the new empty space want to do there?" And repeat and repeat until I filled in the gaps. There's also an element of this squiggle layer having little pockets of time capsules. Like, at some point, I stopped second-guessing past squiggles (unless they really felt off), and largely left each bunch as I had liked it the day I drew them. In a bit of fridge brilliance, thematically this works very well for an intergalactic hippie van covered in murals of different styles.

Awwwwwwwhhh, you all, thank you so much for such nice thoughts!! ;w; I was a puddle of warm fuzzies whenever I looked at your comments today, aaaaa. <33 And thank you especially for the nice words of reinforcement for the squiggles vs. the plain version. Even though I wanted to finish the squiggles for myself, I think part of me still worried that they looked messy and that others might like the plain simplicity better. So thank you, I'm really happy you like the full version so much, and I love how you interpreted the squiggles' vibe! <3 Even though when I was working on it, I was frustrated that it was taking so long and I couldn't finish, I'm also pretty sure that the fact that the squiggles DID take so long was a major part of why they came out well. Like, if I'd somehow magically been able to draw ALL the squiggles in, like, a week, I think it's more likely that they'd all be kind of similar and bland. But by continually drawing then taking a break, drawing then taking a break, every time I started, it was with a little bit of a fresh frame of mind, and so I could make the squiggles overall pretty varied and visually interesting. ^^ ...And also yes, it is totally intergalactic hippie van style. xP So, big size! Ask and it shall be done! \ o / *goes to see what the max attachment size for Proboards is* One MB. Nope, that's not gonna cut it. XD Looks like it's time to login and post to DeviantART for the first time since...uh, wow, looks like 2017. x'D Welp. Here's to hoping I did it right and didn't mess up my old DA account! www.deviantart.com/between-the-stars/art/NTWF-Wrighton-Poster-917895097 There should be a download link just below the image. ^^ (And aaaaasdfghjkl, such an honor, I really hope it looks stellar on your all's wall! ;A; Please take a photo for me again, if you don't mind?) Edit: Hmm, tested out the download button, and I'm not sure if it's working? Hang on. (And lemme know if it works for you?) Edit2: Blargh, even after changing some settings, I think one might need a DA account to download it. I can't remember if either of you have DA accounts? Worst case scenario, I suppose I could try emailing the full size to you? xD Unless someone has an easier way. The full image is about 4.99 MB. Edit3: Nevermind, I feel dumb. XD Turns out Imgur isn't as wimpy an image host as ol' Photobucket was, and it can handle giant 5 MB files! Soooo I guess I didn't need to upload to DA at all. Oh well, got to say hi to them. XD Anyway, link to full size here! Wooo (Oh also, I'm super curious how many folks attempted the puzzle before clicking on the solution? xD) Anyway, thank you so so much, Fraze, Hunty, everyone. <333 Argh, words <3

I just wanted to comment on... everything? But I'll start by saying, argh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean for my wall scribbles to be copied, you make me feel almost bad for having drawn so many of them. But it did turn out really cool, so I'm glad to help serve as inspiration. This was you in the end, though, and it's amazing.

I should be thanking you for all your wall scribbles. I loved your Wrighton art and your little Bea signature, and I loved your squiggles, too. =D Your all's preexisting squiggles were like my anchors, and it was actually really helpful to have so many, because they helped ground and inspire all the other squiggles I did after. And besides, I thought it was neat to have lots of visual ideas originally from other people, especially for a poster that celebrates the story we all made together. ^^ So thank you. <3

*kicks self to just post the dang art dump already, dangit, me!!!*....Anyway, hi! I swear I'm not trying to make it a habit to only post in this thread, like, once a year at best. x'D I just. procrastinated on it. a lot. XD Anyway! Despite not posting in so long, there's probably not as much new stuff as could be. A lot of these have been shared already elsewhere. Also, uhhhhh, it's a good thing I started a draft of this post back in...October 2022 or something, because I'm sure I'd've forgotten even more things to say if I hadn't! XD Anyway anyway, lots of random things! And lots of pretty old things! XD Beginning with PokemonTrainer!Tabitha from the 3-Prompt Exchange last summer! =DD (With the little written intro, too, since I like it.) \ o / *BATTLE THEME TIME* So, I already talked about why I chose Gossifleur in the exchange thread, but I'll explain some of my thought process for the others. I feel like Polteageist and Meloetta are fairly self-explanatory (tea <3 and master of song <3). And sweet-but-heckin'-ready-to-fight Mama Bear. I chose Gallade specifically because its Pokedex entry talks about how it's a "master of courtesy and swordsmanship," in addition to just being a super cool Pokemon that lets Tabitha have a mega stone. Meowstic was a little trickier. Celestial mentioned Tabitha's love of cats, so I really wanted a cat Pokemon, but so many of them often had kinda unflattering Pokedex entries, or just didn't feel like they quite fit. ((And this was drawn before Sprigatito and Scarlet/Violet existed! ... Wow, I needed to do an art dump sooner. XD)) Anyway, male Meowstics are a little more careful, but powerful and protective. =D (And, bonus, after the fact, I was talking with Gelquie about Pokemon teams, and we realized that it would be perfect for Espin to have a matching female Meowstic on his hypothetical team! xB Female Meowstics are described as being much more aggressive, selfish, and unfriendly than their male counterparts.) Some other 'mons I considered at one point but didn't make the final cut: Sirfetch'd, Wooloo, Virizion. Now for some development sketches of Miss Kingsley~ A warm-up sketch of her canon design, and slight tweaks I really did mean to have the front simply be an extended ascot (?) design, but it kind of got away from me in the final version. xP I do wish I'd gotten the final coattail fluff to be as poofy-feeling as in the sketches, though! But I still really like the recurring theme of the white doily-like fringes throughout the outfit. When I added the Pokemon, I was doubly excited because I realized that the white hair ornament echoed not just Bewear, but also parts of Gallade and Meowstic (and a little of Meloetta's black mic shape)! The shoes I based on a real photo I found of some Victorian boots (and I was SO FRUSTRATED when I was unable to find the photo again). I fully intended to change the original boots' pastel blue and white colors before finishing, but when I got there, my other color choices either looked bad or looked like bowling shoes. XD So, original blue and white it was! Gonna put all my 2022 Artober pencil drawings together here. For commentary at the time, see the thread~ Let's tally 'em up! If I did it right, altogether we've got: 15 NTWF characters 4 Neopets characters 5 characters from my current WIP 1 character from my first middle school story 2 characters from my very first online RPG (begun in middle school) 2 characters from another middle school story 3 characters from a high school story 4 characters from a college story 1 character from an animation class assignment 1 me Wooooooo~ \ o / I've had almost an entire year now, maybe I can finally make my prompts into a pretty graphic before this October??Have two smaller drawings, a little Aldrich and Babewyn hug, and a little Madge barring a door. Stone is so heavy, guys, killer on the lower back, but still worth it <3 Moni's Theodaxx from the Winter Art Exchange! =DD Come on down, join us for dinner!! There'll be no shortage of delicious foods! :D Afterwards, I felt like I should have drawn Theodaxx in a cool new outfit (but I hadn't for the exchange because I'd been so excited to draw his usual outfit). So, I belatedly decided to finally just draw the Great Gatsby meme as the universe had truly intended. It came out kinda beautifully cursed~ XP Drawn for Mafia 2's TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY back in May, YYYEAAHHHHH!! \ o / Key and hat identifications, in vague rows from the top: Fluffle (something flat to cover the head, with loops to go around the ears) Jenkins (bag with eyeholes); Tanya (beanie cap); Thundy (stormclouds, also fluffy like a sheep); Osilon (pigeon) Kay (stack of books); Mony (tricorn); Ginz (Erlenmeyer flask); Yoyti (tophat); Metastophelous (radio); Stal (regular three-pointed hat) Penny (sunhat with her "cat" on it) + Maurice; Birch (head bandage); THE PYTHON (generic but looks like a dunce cap that was run over by a semi); Don Dan (generic but smushed like a fedora) Mick (waffle with cherry and whipped cream); Alex/Rocky (messy crown of aluminum rocks); Diana (crown of laurel leaves); Nora (chicken) + one of her chickens Tracy (baseball cap); Blaze (wolf ears) + Primrose; Britknee (city skyline with cow) + Snuggles; Julie (beret); Dove (nekomimi) Thank you again for such a special game, everyone, and for being such great friends in all this time since. <333 Been mentioning my WIP sometimes recently, so please have a random drawing thing with two of the characters. ^^ This isn't really a scene from anything--more just. a vibe for these two. XD I drew my Hero City trio in the Barbie meme. 8DD Ohmygosh, hands are SO much easier to draw with meme references at not-quarter-inch sizes.Tricia is living a nightmare; Jeremy is also having a terrible time, but is maybe also slightly amused by Madge; and Madge is of course out here living her best life and maybe already formulating her questionable exit strategy(The numbers chosen are references to the 3:17 train and Jeremy's apartment number.) Sketch comic drawn in a feverish haze of "I GOTTA DRAW THIS RIGHT. NOW. OH MY GOSH" inspired by Gelquie and Twillie's gloriously, insanely, hilariously short round of Five Letter Logic, and then Gelquie's comment in the Bloids about it. XDDD (I realized about an hour or something after posting that dangit, I forgot to draw Neo!Twillie's front pocket. XD Oh well. Chalk it up my to shaky, feverish, late night fervor to draw this RIGHT NOW. RIGHT NOW. I HAFTA DRAW THIS RIGHT NOW, OR ELSE. (Or else what?) NO IDEA, JUST DRAW, WE DIE LIKE CARTOONISTS!! FIVE LETTER LOGIIIIIIIIIIIIIC, RRRAAAAHHHHHH!!!) ... ... *cough cough* Anyway, amazing gameplay. =D I thiiink that might be all the stuff I've got for now, maybe? Whew. xD Hope you enjoyed! ^^ And hopefully I'll post again in not too too long. I am saying this now so that I might be held accountable to manifest a NOT year-later post into existence when I finish this one thing.

It's okay, I often forget her front pocket as well until last minute when it gets in the way of what I've already drawn xD;
But lol I don't think I've commented on the Five Letter Logic comic yet, so I gotta say that I'm honored and amazed by how you memorialized such a moment! xDDD The sheer amount of energy in that KO panel is great, and there's such a high level of drama throughout the whole thing fitting the punch line. Thanks for the drawing of that, I love it! =D

Seeing the Pokemon Trainer Tabitha art made me so happy. Seeing your warmup sketches and the explanation for all the Pokemon choices (which are A+ perfect) made me even happier. <3 It's all perfect.
The Mafia 10 year anniversary art is also so cute. look at everyone being all chibi. You did a great job with that too!

Hiya! =D So, cutting to the chase, I now finally have some posters in my room that remind me of you all. ^^ None of them are new, buuuut these NTWF roleplay posters ARE (*strikes pose, jazz hands*) ~*fancy updated 2023 Editions*~ WOOOOO \ o / Not pictured: Me, trying to find an angle of my bedroom that gives the posters context, but also avoids showing too much of the messiness. (Also yes, that is an old printout of Carbuncle from FF8. He's been there since middle school or something, and he gets to stay, he's one of the old blorbos!!)I'd always wanted to someday get my NTWF posters printed for my room, but kept putting it off until some vague day in the future. But this past year, I started really noticing that there were some pretty bare spots on my bedroom walls, and one thing that had been hung up since elementary school was long overdue to be taken down. So I resolved to get my stuff together and stop putting it off, and lo! Zazzle had a coupon deal in July that gave me a tangible deadline to get all my the files tidied up by! 8D (...And then it took me until late September to find my ticky tack to finally hang them up with. XD) Anyway! Yayyy <3 At first glance it may seem like, wait. Aren't they the same? What "tidying up"? Why did I even need to make new editions of the posters in the first place? Weren't they finished already?? And the answer is yes, they were finished! ...But also, when 2013!Lizica made her first RP poster for NTWF Mafia II, she did not make the canvas a standard printable size, and just kinda slapped some dimensions down and was like, "Eeyup, that looks like the size of a poster, cool!" And then proceeded to copy-paste those dimensions for both the Mafia III poster and the Medieval poster. But size wasn't the only thing I updated! Most of it is pretty minor, but hey. This here's my art thread, which means I get to ramble. xP (Spoiler: Wrighton is the only one I didn't change at all.) NTWF Mafia II (Link to original here) Edits: - Size change squished - Some stars had to be moved - Updated/edited credits so every PC has a job!! :D This very first one was the only poster I made where the original didn't reference all the player characters in the credits. But thanks to Mafia 2's anniversary not being too far off mentally when I edited this in June/July, it was a little easier to get back in the zone and include everybody this time! =D I may or may not be stupidly pleased with Don Dan's credit. XD And I like the ominous banality of Pallada's.The credit tweaks kinda feel like a late anniversary bonus. ^^ (As always, please let me know if you'd like anything changed for you or your character! <3) NTWF Mafia III (Link to original here) Edits: - Size squish - Credits for Miko and Christopher changed - Winter's Wrath logo made cleaner - Photo BG is less toned down Miko's old credit "chlorophyllous lighting" felt like it was maybe too complicated or too much of a mouthful? But then, it WAS more interesting. Hmm. Hopefully I didn't make a mistake swapping that out. x'D I, however, have NO regrets about changing Christopher's credit, because I cannot believe I've NEVER given anybody the "best boy" role before?? Probably because nobody else is as Best Boy as Chris?? (And as a bonus, it even links up subtly with the line of camera credits!) If I had even more dedication, I'd've remade the Winter's Wrath logo entirely in order to be properly symmetrical. XD But I'll settle for just getting rid of its awkward border here and making it pop a little more from the background. =3 In 2014, I liked the effect of the photo background feeling a little washed out, but in 2023, I like seeing it bolder, with darker shadows and better contrast against the words. Medieval (Link to original here) Edits: - Size squish - Credits squished, some fonts smaller - Ink smudges and paper wrinkles edited out Not much that different, but man, it was tricky to get it to size without it looking overly cramped. X'D (But the ink smudges that probably nobody else noticed are gone! Hooray~) The Town (Link to original here) Edits: - Edited the white parts of the clock tower where the black paper was showing through slightly - Edited the far right side of the Wall where the paper was ripped (The Town poster was the first one I made to a standard print size.) I noticed that dang paper thinness on the clock tower, like, only a week or a month or something after first posting it, and it's been low key bugging me ever since, augh. XDD A nice lil side-by-side together now~ And...uh, yep! Yay. ^^ My room is much more Netwuffy now. <333 Thank you. <3 Random edit much later, Oct. 23rd or so: Heya! So, with the changing temperatures, the ticky tack holding up the posters has started not doing so great a job. XD Mafia 3 poster fell down a day or two after making this post, and Mafia 2 fell down sometime the week after. XD Place your bets now! Which poster will fall prey to gravity next before Lizica decides on a better wall adhesive?? Another update edit, Dec. 11: That's right, folks, if you guessed WRIGHTON to be the next poster to fall, you win...uhh...a high five and some ticky tack! And then Mafia 2 fell down again after that, too, since the last update. XD ...Anyway, I've resolved to just tape 'em to the wall, and that seems to be working fine so far. I had originally wanted to use only sticky stuff on the backs to keep the front in good condition, but y'know what, I just want something simple to use so I can enjoy seeing the posters up without hearing them sloooowly come undone and noisily scrape the wall and fall down in the middle of the night. XD Anyway, thank you for weathering with me. Hoorayyyy~
