Aurorus, especially if it's a kingdom in the far north Or Netwafflia if we want to be super original with our naming 8D Alternatively... *looks up random words in Latin* Solis (sun), Nix (snow), Pruina (frost), Caelum (sky/heaven), Foedus (cove), Rete (net), Gloria (glory), Iubar (radiance). (I'm thinking Pruina and Caelum sound best out of those, personally. Or we could combine words, like Nixelum or Retoria) ...For some reason I seem to be imagining that this kingdom is in a really northern, chilly climate. Also I threw in Foedus because I recall some people were throwing the idea around that Medieval might take place in the same location where Aifam Cove would eventually be built. I'm just sad that there's no Latin word for Mafia, or I would have suggested a backwards spelling of that word as a nod to Aifam

The religion is likely going to be the Mother Woo one from Mafia. 8D ^^; I hate to be a broken record, but what about the folks who didn't participate in or follow Mafia? They won't know know what you're talking about. It isn't hugely developed, but basically-- Our Feathered Mother. Exclamations include "Oh Woo!" and the like. Sisters of the Feather = nuns, basically. >__> It's like... a White Weewoo deity religion. XD

We could easily put a little explanation of the Great/Mother Woo religion in an appropriate part of someone's early posting, for those who aren't already familiar with it (and to expand on it and how it's practiced in this time/place) :3

XD Another general comment to add to this: while we may toss in minor allusions to previous forum stories, knowledge of past games such as Mafia won't at all be necessary. Medieval is intended to be a standalone event; we'll be able to cover any information which players absolutely need to know about worldbuilding. (Of course, a few of the jokes may be more amusing if you have knowledge of previous forum events, but they won't be crucial to the development of the plot.) EDIT: Good point, Sporty! We'll make sure we cover that in one of the early posts.

Sorry if I seem to be constantly asking questions. I just get worried every time someone goes "blah blah blah just like Mafia!" because then I have no idea if this is information I need to know or not. I understand jokes and references getting thrown in, that happens with any long-running group. It just feels like this in particular keeps getting that comparison, so it's been punching my panic button pretty hard.

Or we could combine words, like Nixelum or Retoria) suddenly wants to suggest Rhetorica, but that would be questionable

Just so if someone wants to know what forum past event is most similar to Medieval, they have a reference. But the gameplay mechanism is all new, the roles are all new, the world is all new-- Mafia and Medieval are completely independent, and there's nothing at all that you need to know about Mafia in order to play Medieval.

The kingdom must be named "Stal", obviously. *sage nod*
Other ideas:
Myde'val Destonia Jadllion Jadelion Jadeion Staldon Stalde Magitek Carricon
*is so good at coming up with good and/or unique names* 8D

Waffelia. that sounds like some kind of flower. A strange, waffle-flavored flower. Or Waffledom. How bout Spelattia, from Splatterboard *brick'd!*
Random names from my brain: Courdon, Rinderia, Domyron, Thylle, Rindfell, Torius.
Or, going off of the Woo religion: Wooveria!

These are some completely random names. Any resemblance to names of desserts would be purely coincidental.
Tessaronia, Macarinth, Labryoch, Panettica, Tiraklion, Crepolis
And Tartopum and Babaorum, why not XD

Oh waitwaitwait, did it change from Lord Woo to Mother Woo while I was asleep? (poking you here because I cannot Skype right now >.>) Also: [05:20:10] Icon: We're setting ourselves up for a sequel, in case the first one works Waitwaitwait. If there's a sequel to Medieval... does that mean the person who gets the throne will have to be killed for the next throne-inheritance-war to happen? D8

There could be the Feathered Mother 'Woo but it would be a regular weewoo, not white. =P

Aurorus, especially if it's a kingdom in the far north I know I'm not participating this and its probably a coincidence, but wasn't that the name of one of the Gen VI fossil Pokémon? In fact, I'm surprised Coaster didn't point that out, I suppose that's why I'm doing it... *shrugs*

But I don't think the whole kingdom would work very well unless it was the BEST fossil i.e. Aerodactyl. xD
